I beaconed Debbie to come along as we headed back to the house. Funny enough, he didn’t try to stop us, neither did he say anything to us. All I heard was his deep chuckle that sounded like music to my ears.
“Hold up bells!! Slow down already. Your moving too fast.” Debbie whined as she tried to keep up with my pace. I had a lot on my head but I need to get the hell out of this woods and I need to distance myself from that cute, handsome, godlike creature that’s messing with my thoughts.

“Phoenix you have to get out of my head right now!!! Do you want to have me killed??” I asked her angrily because I am so sure that she is the source of all these dirty erotic thoughts that am having.

I shut her out of my head before she could finish with her sorry explanation. I know that she needs her mate but she doesn’t have to risk my life just for a guy. Even if he accepts us, he would never be able to present us to the king as the Luna of his pack. We are not fit to be by his side, we are nothing but traitors. Traitors would never be Luna’s.
“Bella you need to tell me why you are running so fast. What’s going on??” Debbie asked once more, snapping me out of my reverie.
“We need to get out of here as soon as possible Debbs. I don’t know why those people are here but they aren’t humans. They are werewolves.
I think the King must have sent them to come after me. I really can’t explain it right now but we have to go right now.” I explained to her as we hurried out of the woods.

“You had better control yourself and act normal because they can smell your fear and you wouldn’t want to piss them off further after I just provoked their Alpha. Act cool and we can get out of here in one piece.” I instructed her sternly.
She was just looking at me in a daze and I know that shes weighing our options right now, searching for a better way out of this situation.
“Stop thinking and move your ass Debbs, there’s nothing we can about it right now. Let’s just get the fuck out of this place. We can come up with a solution later.” I didn’t wait for her to say anything else, I turned around and trudged forward, heading as far away from that beautiful creature that’s standing by the stream.
Now that I think about it, I actually think that they are the buyers that Debbie has been talking to. I should have known that this house would attract them to me. Only werewolves would buy a house this deep in the woods, I should have known.
When we arrived back at the house, the guys were still taking pictures. They were so engrossed in their work that they did not notice our arrival.
“Wrap it off guys, we are leaving right now.” I yelled loudly so they could hear me from where they stood. One of the guys signaled me with a thumbs up to let me know that they had heard me loud and clear.
“Debbie, Go lock up the house, and please tell the guys to hurry up so we can leave this place soon.
One more thing Debbs, I think we lured these guys here ourselves. I’ve been thinking about it on our way here and I actually think that they are the buyers you spoke to on the phone. Pretend you know nothing about them and if they turn out to be the buyers, sell it off at any price they want so they can get out of our lives, got it??”
She nodded in understanding as she walked towards the house in quick strides. I stood by the car with my back turned to the woods but I kept my guard up and I was alert to any movement or sound that’s coming from the woods.
Then I felt this strange wind gust over me, making my whole body tense up and I heard Phoenix whisper quietly to me saying,
“Move back a little Bella, something is about to drop on your legs,”
“Wait, what???”
“Move back.” she yelled in my head, startling me backwards with her loud howl.
I moved back just at the nick of time because the equipment that the guys were loading into my car slipped from their hands and landed on the floor, right where my legs were.
If I had wasted one more second, those things would have landed right on my legs.
“Oh my God!!! Thank you, Phoenix.

Is that one of your powers??” I asked her in amazement.
“Yes Bella, we are stronger than you know. You need to let me out often so our bond would be stronger and we also need our mate beside us. He needs us and we need him too.
He’s heading this way, he’s coming to get us, don’t push him away from Bella, we need our mate.” she pleaded calmly.
I felt that gust of wind once more that made my body tense up. I could hear his footsteps as he approached me from behind.
“Phoenix are you trying to get me killed?? What if he had felt your powers when you warned me to move my leg?? We could be exposed and the king would hear about it and come after me.”
“He can’t hurt us. He needs us too just as we need him. He loves us, Bella, give him a chance.” She kept urging me and just like before, she planted erotic pictures of us in my head.
I couldn’t control myself as I turned to watch his gentle strides as he walked towards me.

He simply flashed a warm smile at me as he acted so cool and warm, making me look like a villain while he looks so angelic, like a god.
“I think we got off on the wrong foot. Am here to make amends. I am Michael Angelo and I want to buy this house. We spoke earlier and I said I would come over to check it out in two days but my plans changed ad voila!
Here I am.” he said with glee as he kept his eyes locked on mine, watching my every reaction, drowning me in his caramel pool.
I could not help wondering what he is up to. He’s an Alpha, he wouldn’t give up this easily. I was eyeing him suspiciously but his eyes were turning me on and I just couldn’t control my body’s reactions.

I just have to hold on a little while. Am sure he’ll go away after purchasing this house, then I can go back to living my life as I did before. I’ve survived two rejections, am definitely going to survive this one also.
Debbie walked over to where he stood and I could see her talking to him, Michael. Am sure I’ll never forget that name. Debbie looks kind of agitated but she’s doing her best to stay calm given her current situation.
I kept the car windows up so I couldn’t hear his conversation with Debbie but am sure she did exactly what I asked her to do.
I don’t even mind selling off this house at a low cost as long as he gets out of my life for good.
Debbie walked back to the car and she tapped gently on the glass, urging me to roll it down a little. I rolled down the window to hear what she has to say.
She told me that he has agreed to come over tomorrow to finalize the deal. She said that he and his guys are getting ready to leave the premises so we can lock up and leave.
I heaved a sigh of relief. I can’t believe that he agreed to everything she said. I actually thought that he’ll put up a fight and force us to do as he pleases, just like I was treated in my former pack. He’s cool and understanding.

I need to get far away from him because being this close to him is kind of messing with my head and I can feel his burning gaze on me through the window of the car.
Am trying to ignore him completely as I distract myself with my phone but I just can’t ignore this warmth that I feel as he stares at me.
