At The Tourist Center.
After Phil announced that ‘we are home’, Denise expected Jude to get out of the car but he did not. Then, he turned and looked at him and observed that his eyes were moist. He was moved to see a beggar tearing up and had the desire to help him.
“What is the matter with you, Young man?” he asked him with concern.
Phil noticed the tears, too, and was willing to help if he could. So, he waited for his response.
Likewise, Jude allowed the tears to drop before he spoke, “I am starving. I ate last yesterday morning.”
After he made his problem known, there was a pin-drop silence for a few seconds before Denise turned to the driver and spoke, “Take us to the Tourist Center.”
“It is all right, Young Master,” the driver obliged and moved.
Even though Jude was depressed, he was attentive enough to hear the driver address him as the Young Master. He stole a glance at him and mulled over his discovery.
‘Are they not beggars? If not, who are they?’
Soon, he found himself in a place he never imagined existed in Dover. It was a place with unpolluted air, and the ambiance was paradisiacal. To his surprise, none of the criminals that he had worked for had ever sent him to execute a job there.
“Welcome, Boss,” the gatemen greeted him one after the other as they drove in.
The Security officer, Mr. Robin Don, who was waiting for him in the courtyard greeted him, “Good evening, Boss. Good to see you.”
Now, Denise rolled down the window glass and responded, “Good evening, Officer. I brought my friend …”
He paused, turned to Jude, and inquired with a smile, “What is your name?”
Jude, who did not know whether he should address him as a Boss or Young Master, quickly chose the former.
“My name is Jude, Boss.”
Dense turned to the Security Officer and continued, “I brought my friend, Jude. Make sure he is comfortable. I will speak with you tomorrow.”
“Consider it done, Boss.”
“You can go with him, Jude. Take care.”
“Thank you, Boss,” he appreciated him.
He turned and looked at Phil, whom he also considered an important person, and he returned his look with a farewell.
“It is all right, Jude. See you some other time.”
He opened the door, got out of the car, and stood beside the Security Officer as they waited for them to move.
“We are returning home, Officer,” he informed the driver.
“It is noted, Young Master,” he said and moved.
Now, Denise suspected that his wife would be worried about his lateness and sent a message to her.
(My Angel. I wish to inform you that I will be a bit late. I will make it up to you. Love from Denise.)
Olivia, who was aware of his closing time and fond of welcoming him home at that time, swallowed hard and responded at once.
(It is okay, Hubby. Take care of yourself. Love you.)
They drove back to the Native Home and arrived after fifty minutes. The driver parked the car in the garage, and he collected the car keys from him.
“Thank you for the ride, Officer. You can wait for me. I will take you to the gate.”
“It is all right, Young Master.”
Denise got into the house, dropped the car keys, picked up his mother’s office key, and left.
“Good night, Young Master,” the domestic staff members greeted him.
“It is all right. Take care. If there is anything that needs my attention, don’t hesitate to give me a call.”
“It is okay, Young Master,” they responded.
Denise drove to the gate and the Security Officer got out of the car. Then, he drove Phil to his house after they took their untidy wear off and combed their hair before he returned home.
At Stephen’s Resort.
The explosion left the resort in ruins within one hour. Due to the gridlock caused by pedestrians and vehicles, the Fire Service could not access the premises to salvage the situation. Before Denise got home, the news had flooded the media houses with different sides to the story. One of the media houses had it that the government gave the owner of the resort money to organize a competition for the Buskers. Instead of doing that, he kept the money to himself, and when they protested. For that, he resolved to wipe them off by killing them with an explosive.
Another piece of news was that the angry indigents were responsible for the explosive. Other news had it that it was a grant that a donor gave to alleviate the suffering of the people living with disabilities and the owner of the resort sat on it.
Whatever the news was, Denise had taught his uncle, who attempted to kidnap and assault his mom, a lesson.
At Seven Oaks – Louis’ Apartment
Louis had just returned from the garden where he had sports activities with Dr. Quain and his friends. A New lifestyle that Dr. Quain introduced him to. He was in a joyous mood when he got back home.
“Welcome back, Boss.”
“Thank you, what do you have for dinner? I’m famished.”
“Your favorite, Boss,” Fred announced confidently.
“Okay. Thank you for that. I will be with you soon.”
He walked to his room and turned on the television. As he was undressing to head for the bathroom for his shower, the breaking news caught his attention.
He stopped and took a critical look at the video while listening to the news.
When he got the details of the story, he smiled and said with great delight, “That was a quick one. I knew that Denise wouldn’t reprieve him.”
Suddenly, his childhood life with Denise replayed in his memory. He remembered when they would put up tricks that would outwit their parents to get extra pocket money and his heart clenched.
‘Have I lost my brother too?’ He murmured in despair.
Indeed, he had lost two people who were precious to him. He laid on the bed and allowed his tears to flow freely. After thirty minutes of sorrowing, he dried his tears and came up with a solution; the one that would favor everyone.
Then, he got a message alert and quickly picked up his phone that was by his side and checked.
(Hello children. Greetings from Cairo. Just to inform you that we arrived safely. With love from Mom and Dad.)
He held his phone for some time and admired his lovely parents’ picture, which they took in the very room he was in when they came to pick him up from Cairo.
“How will they feel about the decision I have taken?” He thought before he got out of the bed and walked to the bathroom.
Then, he took his bath before he walked to the parlor for his dinner.
