At Seven Oaks
Dr. Kadon Quain had made up his mind to always have lunch with Louis. According to him, it will help him monitor him closely both physically and emotionally.
One of Louis’ major problems was that he came from a closely knit family. He did not have friends outside his family. Denise was his brother and friend, and the only thing he kept away from him was his relationship with Olivia, which he wanted to do when she would be out of school. In the prevailing circumstances, Dr. Kadon Quain volunteered to be his friend and he loved it.
After the drama the previous day, they ended up having lunch at Louis’ apartment. Now, the doctor had invited him over for lunch.
“Thank you, doctor, for the meal. It is so delicious.”
“It is my pleasure. Tomorrow we will meet at your place for lunch.”
“It is okay. But won’t tomorrow be too far? What about dinner tonight.”
“That will be fine. I will inform my wife at once.”
“It is all right. See you then.”
At The Bailey Native Home.
They got out of the dining table and walked to the bedroom. Arthur was still laughing like a teenager in love for the first time, which infested Nichole too.
“Hubby, you are too happy today,” Nichole commented as he took his seat on the couch, and she sat beside him.
(Peck) He gave her a peck and announced, “I can’t ask for anything more. I have you and our children are happy with us.”
“And you can eat the food on the dining table and eat the food on the bed.”
Arthur laughed heartily and declared, “If she will not run away the way she did at Cairo.”
Now, it was Nichole’s turn to laugh. “Wow! Do you still remember that?” she asked him.
“Of course. It was one of the things that I remembered that made me laugh.”
“Oh! I see. It’s so funny,”
“Nichole, why did you leave the room that day? Was I disgusting to you?”
She looked at his face, leaped forward, and bit his lower lip before she answered, “Disgusting? No. But attractive. If I had stayed longer after your kiss, I would not guarantee that I won’t rape you.”
Arthur laughed unrestrainedly and asked her, “Rape me? You shouldn’t have bothered; you should have gone ahead and raped me.”
Nichole’s belly laughed, and tears gathered in her eyes. He looked into her eyes and reminded her, “Did you remember the note I sent to you that day?”
Nichole hesitated and declared, “I can’t remember. It had been long and besides, you have sent many messages after that.”
“Get your phone. Scroll up. You will get it.”
Nichole tried to get up from the couch and get her phone, which was on the reading table, but he halted her and hinted, “Wait. I can get it from my phone.”
He picked up his phone and scrolled to his previous messages to her.
“Here is the message. Let me read it out.”
(Nichole dear. I am deeply sorry if I embarrassed you. Give me a chance and I will make you find true love. Love from Arthur.)
“Wow! That was very sincere of you?”
“Really, why did you say that?”
“You have made me find true love, now that I have given you the chance.”
“Something is missing,” he pointed out.
She gave him a questioning look before he added, “That day, we inconvenienced ourselves and slept on the couch and took a hasty bath because of Louis.”
“Oh! It was so inconvenient. But the joy of seeing our son overshadowed it.”
“The joy did not surpass it on my side. I felt guilty seeing you sleeping on the couch. I will make it up to you.”
At that point, Nichole gave him a warm look, and he continued, “We are going to Cairo after work on Friday, and you will sleep comfortably with me on the bed.”
“Wow! You can say that again.”
“I will make love to you and will ensure that you are happy. You have sacrificed a lot for the children and me; it is time to compensate you, my love.”
“Wow!”
“I love you Nichole, the first lady of the Bailey Family.”
“Oh! My God. I feel celebrated, and I can’t ask for anything else.”
Subsequently, Arthur pecked her on her cheek which was soaked with tears of joy, and consoled her. Then, he cuddled her, and she slept off on his chest.
At the Complex
While the First Lady of the Bailey Family was sleeping and enjoying the peace that supersedes the comprehension of Lorene and her likes on the chest of her Prince Charming, they were running after a shadow, which was their dilemma.
When Lorene got home, she was deeply hurt. She felt bad because she missed the opportunity of having lunch with the man that she longed to be with, and if possible, warm his bed, couch, or desk that afternoon and send the video to Nichole.
“Why should the police choose to arrest whoever today?” She mumbled and sipped her glass of alcoholic wine while she reminisced on her failure.
The thought of that kept her nagging for the rest of the day and clouded her reasoning.
“If only I have his contact. I would have given him a call.”
“Or, should I pay him a visit to his house?”
With these two options before her, she found herself on the horns of a dilemma.
“Which of these options is pertinent? I will see Evelyn tomorrow and seek her opinion,” she smiled broadly at her decisiveness.
At Denise’s Apartment
As brave as Denise was, he was afraid of a mysterious man who he saw in a dream, but he was not afraid of a living being like his uncle.
He got home after work armed with his plans. His wife ran out with her beautiful knee-length trendy maternity gown which made her baby bump visible to receive him.
“Welcome back, Hubby,” she greeted him and got into the passenger’s seat.
Her husband turned and looked at her as she was glowing like the morning sun. His eyes sparkled with affection as he rubbed the baby.
“Thank you, my beauty. Did you miss me?”
“Yes, Hubby. We missed you.”
