“Baby, did you miss Dad? Say welcome to Dad.”
They chatted on some sweet nonsense that could be discussed in the house. Then, the moment that Denise feared most came.
“Honey, I want us to drive out. I had been indoors all day.”
Denise felt he was not being fair to her. Though she works from the house, she deserves to move around.
He looked at her beautiful and pleading face and asked her, “What would you like to have?”
“Vanilla fudge.”
“It is okay. Let’s go. John will come with us. We will be in the car while he picks whatever you need. Are you good with that?”
“Yeah. I’m cool.”
“John,” he called out.
Then, John walked briskly to him and answered, “You called me, Boss.”
“Yes. Kindly let Caleb know that we are going out and get into the car.”
“It is all right, Boss.”
John did as Denise had instructed him before joining them in the car. Then, he drove his wife around the neighborhood for about thirty minutes before they parked at a mall.
“John, take. Get three parks of Vanilla fudge.”
“It is noted, Boss,” John said, collected the money, and left while he waited with his wife in the car with a dare-the-devil attitude.
Soon, John returned with the packs of Vanilla fudge, and they drove back home peacefully.
‘No mysterious man anywhere. It was just a dream,’ he laughed at his cowardice and assured himself as he led his wife to the house.
At The Bailey Native Home.
Arthur and his wife took their nap, oblivious to the fact that many people were in the police net and were being interrogated because of him. The Constable kept the case away from him to allow the criminals and the accomplices to surface around him and it was working as he planned.
‘If I inform him, he may become security conscious and ward off the accomplices and the criminals,” he thought.
As for the three wolves, they would rather die than disclose their principal.
Meanwhile, at 4 PM, they went out for a walk. The other members of Bailey’s family were not aware that they were married, even after she moved into his apartment.
“Do we owe them any explanation?”
Arthur asked when they walked past some family members, who greeted them casually.
“We owe them nothing. That reminds me, Hubby. I was not opportune to speak with Angel yesterday. I hope she exercises?”
“You can give her a call.”
“OK. I will do that.”
She gave her a call while her husband looked on.
“It rang and cut. Maybe she was not with her phone. I will try later,” she concluded.
After ten minutes, she tried again and got the same result. Now, they were already at home, and Arthur suggested, “You can call Denise. He should be off work by now.”
Now, Nichole called Denise, and he picked up at once. He was just walking into the house from their outing when he got the call.
“Hello, Mom. Good to hear from you.”
“Glad to hear from you, too. How is Angel?”
“Angel is fine.”
“I’m delighted to hear that. I have called her line severally, but she did not pick up.”
Now, Denise turned and looked at her, but she was not with her phone.
“It is all right, Mom. You can speak with her,” he said and handed the phone over to his wife.
Likewise, he relaxed and watched her speak with his mom.
“Hello, Mom. Good to hear from you,” she greeted her.
“Good to hear from you, my dear. I called to inform you that you need to walk out from time to time. Exercise is very necessary for you and the baby.”
“It is all right, Mom. Thank you for your concern.”
“It is all right. I can see you are good.”
“Yes, Mom. How is Father?”
Nichole looked at her husband, who was sitting beside her, and replied, “Father is fine.”
“It is all right, Mom. My regards to him.”
“It is okay. Take care of yourself.”
“I will. Thank you, Mom. Bye.”
Arthur, always fall head over heels in love with Nichole whenever she displayed the character traits that made her an outstanding personality.
At that point, she announced, “I love you, Nichole.”
“I love you too, Arthur.”

At Denise’s Apartment
After the call, Olivia looked at her husband and inquired, “Did you hear what mom said?”
“Yes. She advised you to walk out from time to time and that exercise is very necessary for you and the baby. By the way, where is your phone?”
“It is in the room,” she answered.
“Mom must have called your number before calling mine. Let me get it for you.”
“No, Hubby. I will get it. It is part of the exercise mom talked about.”
“That is my baby. Always obedient,” he complimented her as she walked up to the bedroom to get her phone.
He turned on the television while John took the Vanilla Fudge to the kitchen.
“Thank you, John. You can serve some Vanilla Fudge.”
“It is all right, Boss.”
Olivia got back immediately with her phone and sat beside her husband. He looked at her and asked, “You are fast. I hope you did not run?”
“No, Hubby. I walked briskly.”
(Peck)
“It is okay. Don’t run lest you fall.”
“I got it, Hubby. Apart from Mom’s call, I missed my Mom’s call too.”
“Gosh! Please, call her back.”
She called her mom, and then John served the Vanilla Fudge.
When she got through with her mother, she apologized frankly, “Mom, I apologize. I left my phone in the house while Denise and I strolled out.”
“I thought as much. Always carry your phone wherever you go.”
“It is noted, Mom.”
“I called to check on you and to inform you that my sister, Ann, is getting married.”
“Wow! I am happy for Aunty Ann. When?”
“A month from today.”
“It is all right. Speak with my husband.”
Now, Denise collected the phone from his wife and greeted, “Hello, Mom. Good to hear from you.”
“Good to hear from you, Son. I hope you are good?”
“Yes, I am good. And you?”
“I am fine, Mom. Angel and I will be at the marriage ceremony if we get the details and the doctor approves that she is fit to travel.”
“Wow. That will be marvelous. She will be fit by God’s grace. I will send the details, later.”
“It is all right, Mom. Regards to dad.”
“Thank you, Denise. Bye.”
“Bye Mom,” the excited Olivia said, and her husband cut the call.
Then, she turned to him and expressed her joy, “Peck. You are the best, Hubby. It will be a time of reunion for all the family members.”
