Book:THE ALPHA'S REKINDLED BOND Published:2025-2-8

Leah’s POV
“Damn it!” I screamed, then flipped the table over with a loud growl.
Who the hell did she think she was? Just because she had his pups, he now thought less of mates! I was the one who was supposed to be by his side.
“Should we kill her?” Lucia asked seriously, then purred.
She was having fun with everything that was going on because she knew how easy it would be for us to dominate her and make her grovel to us. After all, she was just a mere Omega.
“No, if we kill her now, Sol won’t help us,” I answered and then frowned deeply.
“What is shocking is how his wolf made his presence known only to protect her. I thought you guys were more connected and bonded than us. What werewolves feel should be deeper than what their humans feel, isn’t it?” I asked as she laughed.
“You are correct, but just because we are mates, it doesn’t mean we have no choice but to fight the pull or reject the other party and suffer the ties,” she answered.
“So what you are telling me right now is that he does feel something for us but is fighting it?” I asked seriously.
“His wolf feels more than the human does. If Sol cares for us now, then his wolf cares more; he is just not letting it show. He is really fighting it,” she answered, then chuckled as I smirked.
“Shall we put everything to a test?” I asked with a smile.
“You know my answer,” she responded.
I happily walked to the door and came out.
I didn’t need anyone to tell me the direction to the pack house or where my mate was because his scent did everything.
“I meant our mate’s Beta,” she answered.
I rolled my eyes, annoyed at her, and then walked into the pack house.
“Why are you interested in him?” I asked as I opened the first door of the room I saw, which turned out to be a kitchen.
“We always have someone who is on the good side of the Alpha to step on, that way he acts as a shield for us whenever we are in trouble,” she answered.
I walked to the kitchen cabinets and began checking for cups.
“His Beta looks rather unusual. He is strong-willed, isn’t he? If I were to assume, he could be hard to even manipulate. Just the look in his eyes said it all at the border,” I said when I picked up an empty glass and went to the tap.
“Dear Leah, we managed to get Jace in our palm when he was the strongest-willed of all in our pack,” she answered.
I turned on the tap and moved the cup forward with a smirk.
“You are right,” I whispered while the water kept on pouring and spilling in the glass cup.
As I walked, I could hear murmurs and whispers, yet no one was bold enough to approach me.
“He was a little cute, don’t you think?” Lucia asked.
“Our mate? He is more than cute. Sadly, Jace’s sex appeal is sky high,” I answered as she kept quiet for a second.
“We have company,” she whispered as I grinned.
I knew it wasn’t going to take long for her to find me.
I turned off the tap and took a sip from the glass.
“What are you doing in my pack house?” My mate’s so-called wife asked once she had walked in.
“By that, you mean our… No, my pack house?” I asked and then turned and faced her.
She was looking at me coldly and breathing heavily.
“You came to have some water? Cool. Now get out,” she ordered, ignoring my words.
I liked it when they tried to play the strong card when they were all naive and so innocent.
I moved closer and stood in front of her, looking at her from head to toe. She was a plain Jane with nothing appealing about her. Why was he so stuck on her?
“Did you, in your pathetic little mind, think a baby would tie you to him forever? If that’s the case, then why are prostitutes with kids not out of the market? They are still out on the streets making themselves some coins,” I said, then held my breath when she raised her hand and slapped me hard across the face.
“Perfect,” I whispered, and then raised the glass in my hand and smashed it hard against my shoulder, shattering it with a smile as she widened her eyes in disbelief.
“Let the show begin,” Lucia said proudly as I fell to the ground with tears running down my face.
“How could you threaten me like this when I told you I wasn’t interested in him!” I screamed at the top of my voice, overlooking the pain I felt.
“Oh my goodness, you little…,”
“What’s going on here?” Sol’s voice came through, cutting her off, and in just a few seconds, he walked in.
He looked at me, then at his wife with a pale expression on his face.
“My heart, did you do this to her?” He asked loudly as she shook her head.
“No, she….,”
“No, she didn’t mean it, it was just a mistake,” I sobbed, cutting off her explanation.
“She asked me to leave the pack house as I was a stranger, but I said I would after a glass of water. That’s when she lost it,” I sobbed loudly.
He quickly went down to his knees and looked at my bleeding shoulder with a pained expression on his face.
“Please believe me, ilie mou, I didn’t lay a finger on her… Fine, I admit to hitting her face once, but that’s because she angered me. But I didn’t do that to her!” she said in a panicked voice.
She was already losing because her emotions were standing in the way of her clear mind.
“Sol, she is lying,” I whispered as he looked at me.
I tensed when his eyes switched to that of his wolf.
“Of course, I believe you,” he whispered back as I sighed in relief.
There he was, finally taking my side as a mate should. After all, no Alpha could easily resist the mate’s pull and bond.
“How could you raise your hand on her when you have never raised your hand on anyone who has ever offended you before? You are kind, and the way you just love us and the pups is so unbelievable,” he said and then stood up as I widened my eyes in shock over his words.
“You believe me, ilie mou?” She asked as he turned and faced her.
“Of course, I have known you for a very long time, and my heart has always been yours. Jace may be confused right now, but I am not. Not only is she lying about everything, but I know by instinct that her feelings or fake care towards us aren’t real,” he answered as I glared at them.
“Thank you,” she whispered and then moved closer and embraced him as I forced myself to my feet.
“I’m your mate,” I whispered bitterly.
For some reason, I didn’t like how he was taking her side.
“She is my wife and my life,” came his cold response before he lifted her up like a princess and walked out of the room, leaving me standing there not understanding how he could not choose me.
