Leah’s POV
“You dare say that to her after what you made her go through!” Jace growled, then tightened his grip on my hair as I screamed out in pain.
The side of my cheek was hurting badly from the brutal hit I had received, and blood was rolling down from my nose.
“Jace baby, it’s me,” I cried out, blinking back the tears that blurred my vision.
I let out a broken gasp when he grabbed my chin hard, hurting me even more.
“I said I would let you live for your parents’ sake, and heck, I even promised myself not to be violent in front of Lillian. So why the fuck did you have to tell her that? Do you take pleasure in hurting her? She has already been through hell because of us both!” He exclaimed and then let go of my cheek and moved his hand to cover his face.
I was in shock at how he was treating me harshly over that trash.
“You are pathetic,” Lucia whispered when she pulled through.
“What?” He asked in disbelief when he dropped his hand.
“You are such a pathetic Alpha. Are you that blind not to see us who are right in front of your fucking face? You dare do this to us over that dead, muted, deranged bitch! Who was it that held your hand when you were being a pussy in our teenage years, huh? Whose parents sacrificed themselves for you? Who gave you your very first release and pleasure in bed? Who won over the pack members’ favor for you when they doubted your capabilities as an Alpha?” She asked in a loud growl, shocking me.
“Fine by me if you are looking for a plaything, after all, you have never tasted a virgin in bed. I was at fault for letting my human lay with another before you, so if this is revenge, then I accept it. Fuck her, throw her away quickly, and come back to us while we are still forgiving. That slut won’t help you in any way because she knows nothing about you and she can never please you,” she yelled, then quickly pulled back with a loud whimper when his aura changed, and his eyes turned dark red.
I wanted to beg for forgiveness, but he moved in a flash, piercing his claws into my shoulder, digging in as I howled in pain.
I immediately bit my lower lip and froze when his other hand grabbed my neck, choking me.
I felt a sharp pain in my throat as I peed on myself while struggling to breathe.
He smirked and then leaned into my ear. I tasted blood in my mouth as my body trembled in pain and fear.
“Look here, you little whore. I already know how you used to fuck other warriors behind Jace’s back. Hell, you even fucked Paul, who was supposed to be loyal to him,” he said as I widened my eyes.
“P…. se,” I forced out the words.
“Where is your wolf? Doesn’t she want to talk to me?” He asked, then loosened his grip as I inhaled loudly and coughed out blood.
“Fuck, I knew everything you did but chose not to intervene for Jace’s sake. You bathed and soaked yourself beautifully in perfume water while his cum was still in you. I could smell his scent on you. That’s why I’m an Alpha and your leader. My abilities are way above yours, and your little head, which thinks it’s way ahead of me, isn’t. Be grateful, Delta, that I never let Jace know anything that could break him. He would care less for you, but his relationship with Paul can’t be undone,” he said and smiled powerlessly.
“But that’s not what’s important right now. Did you just threaten and curse at my very reason for living?” He asked, then pulled out his claws as I screamed out in pain.
“I didn’t. I swear on my life, ahhhh…” I cried out when he pierced the other side of my shoulder.
I was about to ask him for mercy in the name of my parents’ favor when he raised his free hand, hitting my face using the back of his palm.
My vision became blurry, and my head began to ache badly. Not only was I in intense pain, but I was also losing a lot of blood, and my wolf was cowering with whimpers, in fear of what he might do next to us. I was gradually losing my will to stay strong.
“Alpha, please,” I weakly pleaded.
“You dare make her cry and feel sad when you are the slut and piece of trash in my eyes? Now listen here, Letina or whatever your name is, there won’t be a second encounter between us. The next time I take over and we meet, I’ll kill you. I’m leaving you alive because I have a feeling that my mate will want to dirty her hands herself,” he said softly as I shivered and held my breath, trying so hard not to throw up.
“Now then, I expect you to beg and ask for forgiveness from your Luna. Crawl if you have to,” he said and then pulled out his claws as I sobbed loudly in pain.
“Lillian,” he called loudly.
The door opened, and she walked in while sniffling.
She went to him, and he wasted no time in embracing her.
“It’s alright, she won’t ever hurt you in any way. I will protect you, I promise. I know you are strong, but she is still a part of your trauma, so always let me handle her for you,” he said as she raised her voice, crying.
I finally could see how it felt to be the one at the end of the road.
“She also said you were planning on leaving me once I was of no use to you,” she said and then pulled back and looked at him.
“Ridge, am I only useful to you because of my rank now?” she asked in a cracked voice.
He leaned in without a word and crushed his lips against hers as I sobbed loudly and lowered my gaze to the ground.
It hurt so much seeing them like that in front of me than the physical pain he had inflicted on me.
I loved Jace so much, why could he not love me back? After all, what I did was all for him.
He pulled back and sighed softly in what sounded like a moan.
“The day I’ll leave you will be the day I die, and I swear that on the moon goddess’s name,” he said as I bit my tongue hard.
I wanted to kill her myself so much, but my wolf was getting in my way as she was trying so hard to take over.
“Let’s get out of here, I don’t want you to look at her,” she whispered softly, making me look up.
He lifted her in his arms like a princess and then glanced at me with a glare.
“You will no longer go out for a year, and no food will be given to you anymore. You will be allowed to drink water mixed with wolfsbane once every two days, and you won’t be excused to relieve yourself. When you do get out of this dump shit by chance, make sure you know your place and whose feet to kiss. If you do anything suspicious or unreasonable, I will bury you next to your dead parents so you could rest easy,” he warned and then walked out of the room.
I looked at my bleeding shoulder and then smiled.
“Lucia, thank you,” I whispered, then tried to bite my tongue when she took over with a loud growl.
“Enough of your foolishness! Right now we need to find a way to leave this pack,” she said with emphasis.
“There is no point,” I whispered.
“There won’t be if that witch finds a way to have him kill us. Right now he’s wrapped around her fingers and the only one who can take our side is our mate, so we need him,” she said as I yelled furiously.
“How could you even think like that when the one I want is Jace?”
“Hush, human. You will get Jace very soon. What we need is someone with power we could use, and our mate fits perfectly. Let’s see how faithful he will be to his so-called wife and pups once I go to him. I will use him for you, and in no time you will have Jace on his knees and that bitch’s head in your hands,” she said seriously as I kept quiet.
If her plan was going to work, then I needed to trust her completely because I wasn’t going to hand over Jace to anyone.
If I wasn’t going to have Jace, then no one was going to have him too.
