Leah’s POV
“Ahhhh,” I screamed at the top of my voice as I threw the perfume bottles, which were on my dressing table, to the ground in anger.
How could they do this to me after all I had endured for them? How could they! They needed me, they freaking needed me no matter what!
“What will I do, what will I do!” I screamed loudly as I looked at my disheveled self in the mirror.
“Calm down,” my wolf said calmly as I laughed mockingly.
Calm down? Did she think we had time to do that? What was wrong with her?
“You don’t get to tell me that, Lucia!” I screamed while pointing a finger at myself in the mirror.
“Not after all I have sacrificed,” I spat furiously.
“Calm down and let me think already,” she growled loudly as I instantly dropped my hand and walked to the bed, sitting down.
“Just because I have done what you have asked me to, it doesn’t mean you are the boss of me,” I said and then folded my arms.
I was going to kill that bitch, and no one was going to stop me. How could someone as filthy as her take my man and get in my way!
“Lucia, we are going to lose him,” I whispered in a cracked voice as the memories I had of him came flooding through my mind.
No one was worthy to be with me besides him.
“I told you to let me think,” she growled loudly.
“Thinking won’t bring him back to us, can’t you see!” I yelled, then gasped when I was pushed back, and she took over.
“What are you doing!” I screamed at the top of my voice.
“At times I wonder how we share the same body,” she said, ignoring my question, then stood up and walked to the mirror to look at our face with a smile.
“What do you mean by that?” I asked seriously.
“Look at us, just look at us,” she answered loudly.
“We have everything a man could ever dream of,” she said as I laughed mockingly.
“Our body is of no use anymore. He doesn’t want us,” I answered with emphasis.
“That’s exactly my point, Leah. You act so pathetic and weak when you know fully well how intelligent we are. We not only have this body but a mind that is quite unique,” she said as I kept quiet for a second, taking in her stupid words.
“Are you mocking me?” I asked loudly.
“No, silly, I’m telling you to seriously look at us and let everything we have achieved through this body and mind sink in,” she answered.
I kept quiet and then looked at us seriously in the mirror. This time I broke into laughter upon realizing how right she was.
She smiled widely, knowing how I now finally got it.
We were not only manipulative; we had a lot of pack members on our side, and we did that by ourselves with only our mind and manners. Not only that, most warriors were at our feet, and they would give us everything we could ask for.
“So what’s the plan?” I asked calmly.
“Leave it to me as you have done in the past. There is no way I will disappoint you, after all we both want the same thing because we are the same,” she answered while she fixed the clothes we had worn before going to talk to Jace in his office.
“I hope it’s a perfect one because I want that bitch dead,” I said when she began fixing our hair.
“Oh, you are going to love my plan so much. Once I’m done with it, our Alpha will only belong to us, and that bitch will be dead,” she answered as I sighed in relief.
“Then what are we waiting for?” I asked.
“Nothing,” she responded and then walked to the door and stopped for a second to look at our room with a smile.
“I won’t miss this room at all because soon, I will be lying next to Jace, and Ridge won’t do a thing about it,” she said and then walked out.
I was curious to hear what the plan was, but then again, whatever she did, we both benefited.
She walked out of the pack house and started walking towards the pack’s border.
“Hey, do you know where we are going?” I asked when the border came into view.
“Of course I know,” she answered.
“I hope you are not planning on crossing it; if you do, the Alpha will know, and something may go horribly wrong,” I said in concern.
“You worry too much,” she answered and then shifted into wolf form and dashed ahead.
“Stop,” I screamed in fear, but she ignored me and went on to cross it.
“What the hell is wrong with you!” I exclaimed as she continued to run full speed ahead, going further and further away from our territory.
“Shut up,” came her command.
She was insane! Truly insane, and I was dumb to trust her! All her plans worked to her advantage, but never was there a day it involved crossing the border. I was scared for our lives.
As hours went on, all I could do was try to take over and reason with her, but it was useless. Even when it was dark, she couldn’t stop running ahead, and that only made my fear intensify as we crossed inhabited territories.
When she stopped running and slowed down her pace, I felt relieved.
“Lucia, was this your plan, to just run away?” I asked furiously.
“Hush,” she whispered after she stood still.
I was about to yell at her when low growls filled the air. They were coming from everywhere, and that made me terrified.
In just a few minutes, we were surrounded by a lot of rogues baring their fangs at us.
“Lucia, run!” I screamed.
She shifted into our human form and brushed her hair back, ignoring my words.
“I want to speak to your leader,” she said as the growls grew louder.
“Let’s not waste time now because I want to bring you the heads of my pack members. If you are interested, I will let you know how to ambush the pack and what you will gain by doing so,” she said loudly as I gasped in disbelief.
“Lucia, what are you doing! Are you selling the pack right now?” I screamed furiously.
When a huge, dark brown wolf, which had a claw mark on its eye, stepped forward, all the other rogues went down on their feet, lying down.
I was in shock and denial. Not because of how the rogues had reacted to it, but because right in front of us was our mate approaching us.
