Evelyn got up in a daze and sat by the flower bed. Just then, a sports car pulled up in front of her.
Without thinking, Evelyn looked up, expecting it to be Conrad returning.
To her surprise, it was the man she had met in the hospital that day.
Martin had come to the Brown Family Group building hoping to see Lillian, but each time he had waited, he had failed to meet her.
When Evelyn suddenly appeared by the car window, he almost thought it was Lillian.
He rolled down the window and, upon realizing it was her, Martin’s smile faded, and with a reserved and distant tone, he said, “It’s you. We meet again.”
Evelyn nodded. “Yeah.”
Seeing that she looked a bit disheveled, Martin furrowed his brow. “What happened to you?”
Evelyn just stared at him, her eyes filled with tears.
Martin got out of the car and opened the door. “Get in first.”
He took her to a high-end restaurant for dinner, and then bought her a new outfit.
Evelyn developed a liking for him. “Thank you, Mr. Martin.”
“It was nothing,” Martin said, his eyes focused on hers.
Evelyn blushed, just then, Martin got a phone call.
“Got it, I’ll go. Sister, Conrad isn’t taking you? What do you mean by no invitation? Who is he taking instead?”
When Evelyn heard Conrad’s name, she immediately perked up, her ears straining to catch every word.
After a moment, Martin hung up the phone, and Evelyn, clutching her straw, said, “Mr. Martin, earlier you said I could contact you if I needed help. Could you help me with something?”
Martin looked at her. “What is it?”
“That party, the cruise one-could you take me? I’ve watched princess parties on TV since I was little, but I’ve never been to one.”
Martin looked at Evelyn’s timid expression and thought of Lillian.
“Alright.”

Lillian, seeing that Conrad went to take a call, immediately contacted Jack.
“Peter? Are you sure?” Jack’s voice echoed, sounding like he was in a large, empty room, probably editing something.
“I’m sure! He’ll be at this cruise party. I saw the invitation today.”
“Can you even get in?” Jack asked.
If the Lewis family hadn’t gone bankrupt, he would’ve believed Lillian could meet Peter. But now, with everything the way it was, Jack thought Lillian would have enough trouble supporting herself, let alone meeting Peter. It sounded like nonsense.
“Don’t worry about whether I can get in. I have my ways. Just send me the full script of our project and the list of potential main creators. I’ll go and convince him.”
Jack said, “This stuff is important. Don’t lose it when you get it!”
“I know!”
When Conrad opened the door and walked in, Lillian quickly switched to a different screen and started playing a game.
Conrad glanced at her, then went straight into the bathroom to take a shower.
Seizing the opportunity, Lillian quickly downloaded the files.
“Come in.”
As soon as he spoke, Lillian immediately put her phone down. “Coming.”
The bathroom was steaming with hot air. Conrad tossed his phone aside. Seeing this, Lillian applied some essential oil to her hands and gently massaged his temples.
Conrad had indeed been busy lately.
Because of the Hunter incident, he issued a kill order against the Hunter’s family.
There were also several business deals he needed to attend to.
Her hands applied just the right amount of pressure, making him close his eyes in comfort, thinking how nice it would be if Lillian were always this obedient. Otherwise, he’d have to waste time catching her again.
“I’m going away for a couple of days. Don’t cause trouble. Stay at home and be good. If you need more money, ask Ford.”
At Hillside Villa, even the smallest things were incredibly expensive. Lillian never hesitated to use whatever she needed. Otherwise, Hogan and his group wouldn’t have said that she was born with a fate of attracting wealth.
“My uncle…”
Conrad opened his eyes, and Lillian suddenly said, “Can you make sure my uncle doesn’t visit my grandmother at the hospital? They’re pestering me non-stop, and I’m too scared to go there now.”
“Have Andrew send two bodyguards with you, or do you want your uncle’s family to just leave City N forever?”
Lillian didn’t really want to drive them out completely, after all, it was her grandmother’s biological son. If her grandmother woke up, this situation was probably something she wouldn’t want to see either.
“Just don’t let them show up for now.”
“Do whatever you want.” Conrad always thought Lillian was too soft-hearted.
There were things she could easily handle, but she never took advantage of the situation, repeatedly giving others opportunities.
Just by holding her grandmother hostage, they made her feel cornered.
Well, it didn’t matter. As long as Lillian had him, it would be enough. Sooner or later, Lillian would realize that the person who cared about her the most in this world was him.
These unimportant people, aside from their tiny bit of blood relation, were they really helpful to Lillian?
Ada came in yawning, and Conrad gave a disdainful look at his pet. “Wash it tomorrow. It smells. If you’ve got nothing to do, don’t go out, wait for me to come back.”
Lillian nodded, but was then suddenly pulled into the bathtub by him, enduring the sudden, fierce assault of his huge ‘member’…
“No, I just bought it…”
“I’ll buy you a new one.”
He really knew no limits when it came to making love, especially for someone like Conrad with such great sexual needs. This time he had to go on a trip and couldn’t take Lillian with him. Throughout the whole night, their lovemaking was seen on the bed, floor, balcony, bathroom and so on. Lillian couldn’t even remember how many times she screamed uncontrollably.
Sometimes she couldn’t help but curse at him with eyes glazed over as if he was high on drugs, going wild and never-ending in making love.
After Conrad left, she slept in until late morning, only getting up when the sun was high. She then started searching for resources in her workgroup, and, as expected, she managed to secure a spot. After all, with her experience, just using her face was enough to get in.
Lillian made an excuse to go find Melissa and had the bodyguard take her to Sunshine Bay. From there, she took a taxi to the dock.
This cruise party was set to last a full day and night, and since it was filled with the elite, the screening process for service staff was strict.
Lillian, a student from a prestigious school and stunningly beautiful, was assigned to the inner area.
Her uniform was a custom-made pale blue dress, its slim cut accentuating her waist. Her hair was styled with hairpins, and her sharp features were softened, giving her a graceful appearance.
“Remember, when the guests arrive, you must stand at your designated position. If they need something, serve them and then immediately return to your position. Otherwise, what if some area is left unattended, got it?”
Once Lillian entered the inner area, she was assigned to guide the guests. Fearing running into Conrad, she swapped positions with someone else and took over the drinks and refreshments.
The other person was confused, but the guiding position was easier than handling drinks, and also allowed for closer contact with important figures, so they readily agreed.
Lillian found a corner of the venue and stayed there.
“It’s you.”
She froze, and when she turned, she saw a man in a suit smiling at her.
“You’re…?” Lillian felt like she recognized him.
