“My lady, my lady!” Sara’s heart raced as Violet’s voice traveled down her eardrums. She hurriedly got up and ran to the black gate that served as a door to the cell room.
She could see violet running to her with such a great speed that she wondered what could be happening.
“My lady, you should leave now. Hurry and leave.” Violet screamed as she reached Sara’s side, who could only stare at her in shock.
“What’s going on, Violet? Why are you flustered and disturbed?” A mixture of shock and surprise could be seen on Sara’s eyes. She opened the door for Violet who hurriedly walked in, and knelt before Sara.
“My lady, please trust me. You should leave now, they are coming to get you.” She yelled, but her yelling only made Sara more disturbed and confused. She could feel her heart throbbing hard as if it was about to jump out of her chest. She gently bent down and helped Violet up.
“Talk to me, what’s happening? What of Killian? Did something happen to him?” Violet’s face went pale as soon as she mentioned Killian’s name. She rolled her eyeballs sideways, and an ocean of tears poured down her eyes.
“Tell me. What happened to Killian?” Sara screamed, but got no response from Violet. It was as if she intentionally didn’t want to say anything about Killian.
After some seconds of silence that ensued between the two, Violet finally found her voice, as she cleared her throat to speak.
“My lady, I am afraid… his…” She stammered as she tried forcing the words out of her mouth. Sara was slowly losing her patience, as she began to breathe heavily. She stomped her feet on the ground and stared straight into Violet’s eyes.
“If you won’t say anything, I am afraid there is no way I can help.” Sara screamed, panting heavily as the words escaped her. She grabbed Violet by her collar, her breath fanning her face as a gush of wind escaped her nostrils.
“The only thing you can do to help is to leave, leave now before it’s too late. I had distracted the guards, leave before they come back.” Violet screamed. Only then did it occur to Sara that there was no guard protecting the cell room.
Violet swallowed hard as bubbles of sweats formed on her head. She tried her best not to disclose the situation to Sara, because she knew that Sara wouldn’t leave once she tells her what happened.
“I am sorry, my lady. But in order to…”
“Bring out the murderer!” A voice roared into the cell room, taking both Sara and Violet off their feet. A number of footsteps could be heard running towards them. The hard, rhythmic breathing of the guards showed that something important was about to happen.
“I told you, I told you to leave.” Violet cried, but it was too late as ten guards marched into the cell room. Two of them grabbed Sara by her arms, and dragged her out of the room. Violet held onto Sara, crying hard as she was being dragged by the guards.
“How dare you! Don’t you know she is the Luna of your pack? How could you lay your filthy hands on her?” Violet screamed, but was met by a resounding slap on her cheeks, causing her to make contact with the ground.
“What if I want to lay my hands on her?” A thick, cold voice said as a shadow approached them, walking high and mighty.
Sara’s eyes opened wide in shock as the voice infiltrated into her ears, the voice sounds so familiar, it belongs to…
“No, it can’t be him…” she shook her head frantically as various thoughts collided in her brain. Her mind began to shake, with her firm resolution getting shattered as the figure became more visible. She kept on telling herself that she was overthinking, that he couldn’t be who she was thinking that it was.
“It can’t be him, it can’t be Killian.” She screamed, her entire world collapsing as the person became fully visible. Standing tall and mighty before her was Killian, staring cold and deadly into her eyes.
“Killian, believe me. I didn’t kill him, I know nothing about his death.” She pleaded, holding Killian’s hand, but a swift movement of his hands nearly made her trip and fall. The next thing that sent her to the ground was Killian’s cold voice.
“I have nothing to do with a murderer like you. You killed him, there is sufficient evidence and witness. And since you are found guilty, I hereby sentence you to…death…” he paused, moved closer to Sara, and bent close to her. He moved his mouth close to her ear and whispered some words with a smirk.
“Right now!” He roared, breaking everyone of Sara’s heart vessels. Her longing for him, her trust and love were shattered at once. But then, she wanted to ensure she heard him correctly.
She swallowed hard, and managed to maintain a gaze with him despite her turbulent mind.
“You said you loved me, you said you will protect me, you told me I was not alone in this world. What’s happening now? Did you forget out vows… under the moon?” Her voice broke as an ocean of tears gushed down her eyes with no restriction. Her heart longed for his response, waiting for his words that could either revive her from her turbulent state, or send her straight to the underworld.
“I never made any vow with you under the moon!” He screamed, before suddenly calming down.
“I mean…I didn’t…”
“No…you are not Killian, you are not him. Killian would never say such a thing. Who exactly are you? And…why do you have his face?” She yelled out, her mind suddenly filled with a strong resolute, fueled by her love and trust for Killian.
“Oh God! Kill this woman, now!” He roared. Two guards ran forward, and unshielded their swords. As they ran their swords towards Sara, a hand pushed Sara away, and took the swords for her. She was pushed with such a great force that she found herself outside the cell.
She slowly turned her back, only to see Violet groaning in pain, with two sharp, long swords inserted into her body. One inserted deep into her heart, and another straight to her belly, coming out of her back.
“Violet!” Sara screamed, as the reality of the situation dawned on her. Her head span as Violet slowly drop to the ground.
“My lady… this is the… last thing I can do for you. I am sorry, I can’t be there for you again. Please protect yourself, and leave…quickly.” These were the words that escaped Violet as she struggled to catch her breath, breathing her last, as the cold hands of death snatched away her soul from her.
“Catch Sara, she must not get away.” A voice rang from inside of the cell.
A force swept Sara off her feet as she dashed away, running as fast as her legs could carry her.
“I have to live on, for Violet. Her sacrifice must not be in vain, it mustn’t!”
