Clara fumbled with her skirt as she headed out of her room. She had sensed Zayne’s power and she knew for sure that he was nearby.
As she stepped into the courtyard, Zayne swiftly passed in front of her, and she hurriedly lowered her head.
“Don’t forget your mission.” Zayne’s voice echoed as he disappeared with the wind.
“Yes, my Alpha,” Clara replied with her hands crossed across her chest.
She let out a sigh and plucked a twig. She seemed to be at a loss for what to do. The witch Queen, Calypso had suddenly appeared to her the previous night and specifically gave her some orders.
“Sara and Killian, kill them both!” Calypso had ordered and she had no other choice but to obey. She had originally planned to eliminate Sara at once while she slowly destroyed Killian, but the witch queen’s orders had just changed everything.
She sighed again, wondering how Calypso knew of her existence in the blue moon pack.
As she racked her brain further, an idea suddenly popped into her head.
“Leon!” She exclaimed with bulged eyes.
From what she heard about Leon, he was a lover of beautiful ladies, and she, Clara was a perfect taste for him.
She ran back into her room and changed her dressing into a more beautiful one, before heading towards Leon’s mansion.
“Who are you?” A guard asked as she stepped into the mansion.
Clara raised her head and smiled at the guard.
“I am here on Leon’s orders.” She replied calmly, while the guard rolled his eyes over her in suspicion.
“Wait, let me confirm.” The guard insisted and turned to be on his way.
The next thing the guard felt was a force hit him at the back of his head, he began to feel dizzy, and everywhere became blurry till it gradually became fully dark.
Clara dropped the stick in her hand and spat on the guard.
“Idiot.” She muttered, dragged the guard into the security house, and calmly walked into the mansion.
“Nice one!” The words were accompanied by a clap as Clara made her way into the mansion.
She lifted her head and saw a fierce man looking at her from the third floor of the house.
“You managed to knock out my guard, you must not be ordinary,” Leon said with a smile as Clara walked up to him.
“Greetings.” Clara greeted him while Leon stretched out his hand and pointed to a chair across from him.
“You can have your seat,” Leon ordered and Sara muttered a thanks.
“I am sure you didn’t come here for nothing, what do you seek me for?” Leon asked. He fixed his gaze on Clara, fully alert and prepared for anything that might happen.
Clara took in a deep sigh and narrated everything she had in mind to Leon.
“And what makes you think I will work with you? Are you not afraid I might turn you in, gain merit from the alpha, and right all of my wrongs?” Leon asked her, while Clara smirked.
“If you truly turn me in, then you are not the mighty Leon that I am looking for; you will just be a person not worthy of my glance.” She replied and Leon applauded her.
“Well said.” He commented.
“So what do you plan on doing it? Or how do we go about it?” Leon asked her while she pulled her chair closer to him.
“Don’t you want the position of the Alpha to yourself? Then there’s only one way to go about it.” She uttered, causing Leon’s eyes to open wide.
“You want to kill Killian?” He asked in shock, while Clara shrugged.
“Or do you have another way to go about it?” Clara asked while Leon sighed.
“It seems you are underestimating Killian. A strong man like me couldn’t take him down, and you think you can?” He asked her.
Clara got up from her seat and moved closer to Leon. She dug her nails into his beard and gently rubbed his face before dragging her nails down to his chest.
“That’s where we ladies come in. Don’t forget that there’s something we can do that you guys can’t.” She muttered and Leon’s face lit up with a smile.
“But in whatever you do, don’t hurt Sara; leave her for me,” Leon muttered, and Clara’s expression changed.
“Aren’t I enough for you? I can satisfy you way better than her. Besides, she only has Killian in her heart, and she won’t forgive you if anything happens to him.” She replied with a romantic tone that Leon couldn’t shift his lustful gaze from her.
“Alright, no problem. Contact me anytime, I will be happy to help.” Leon muttered. He pulled out a bottle of alcohol and poured its contents into two glazed cups.
“Cheers to our cooperation.” He muttered and they both gulped down the drink.
“I should be on my way now, in case Killian gets suspicious,” Clara said and proceeded to leave Leon’s mansion.
On her way back, she stumbled across Lydia and she took the initiative to win her heart.
“You must hate Sara, right?” Clara whispered into her ears as Lydia walked past her.
She stopped abruptly and stared at the person who had just whispered those words into her ear.
“Who are you?” Lydia questioned, while Sara smiled.
“Who am I is not important; what is important is that Sara is currently sitting in a position that should belong to you, claiming the title that you worked hard for all these years. Don’t you hate her for that?” Clara said in an attempt to cajole Lydia but she gave her a smirk instead.
“Even though, I wouldn’t need the help of a homeless lady like you,” Lydia replied and turned to be on her way.
“What if I tell you that Leon is on our side?” Clara continued and Lydia paused in her steps.
“What did you say?” Lydia’s heart raced as she waited for Clara to repeat herself. With Leon’s help, she would most likely achieve her goal.
“I will be living in this pack from now henceforth, so there’s no need to doubt me. I also hate Sara to her deepest bone, and wish I could crush every part of her.” Clara yelled while Lydia’s expression became stony. Clara smiled silently, knowing that she had successfully won Lydia to her side.
“So how do we deal with her?” Lydia asked ignorantly, while Clara inched closer to her and whispered some words into Lydia’s ears.
“Don’t you have a friend who is adept in poisoning and medicine? It’s time for her to show her loyalty as a true friend.” She whispered with a mischievous smile, and Lydia’s eyes bulged open.
