CHAPTER 115

Book:Omega's Wolf Is A Rogue Published:2025-2-8

CADELL
“Are you okay?” I asked, holding Evolet closely while hanging on to a window away from the throne room.
She was shivering in my arms because of her wolf, but managed to nod with a smile. “Yeah, I’m good,” she responded, lifting her head to look into my gaze.
Her eyes were still glowing because of her unfixed necklace. There was no time to attend to it, since Chriselda’s guards came rushing inside to search the room.
But my Evolet’s beautiful eyes… Goodness! I might get lost in again if I stare for too long. I need to control my feelings until the time is right.
Then I can have my Eve to myself without having to hide anymore.
“Hey,” She called, lifting her brow at me with a smirk spreading to the side of her lips. “Why are you staring at me like that? Could it be that my acting skills left you blown away?” She asked, teasing me.
I smiled, holding her firmly.
“You’re really beautiful in this dress. It fits you perfectly,” I said, looking down at the purple gown she was putting on.
That comment left Eve blushing.
“This is the fifth time now, Cadell. You’re making my cheeks burn,” she said with a smile, looking away.
I chortled at her reaction.
The dress smells a bit old, but it still has Violet’s scent hidden within. And seeing my Evolet in this gown only makes my cravings increase.
“Let’s go,” I said, carefully holding her in my arms and speeding back.
The room was dark because of my presence. But it was important to keep it that way since Eve’s necklace wasn’t fixed properly.
Once I kept her powers locked and brought light back into the room, Derby and Trent, who were sitting on the bed, became stunned when they saw Evolet in the purple dress.
Eve thought they wanted to make fun of her when they gazed for long, but their comments made her Proud.
“I… I don’t know what to say. I don’t even know how to put it,” Trent spoke, still gawking at her.
Only Derby came out shrieking, going on her knees to bow at her best friend. “My Queen. You are the most beautiful woman on this planet.”
“I’ve been wearing a lot of gowns in your front D, and today when I wore this one, you realized I’m the most beautiful in this planet? Trent, I hope she didn’t hit her head in our absence?”
“Come on. Can’t I give you a sweet compliment from the heart?” Derby grumbled, rising to her feet.
I chuckled at their drama, pulling Evolet towards the bathroom.
With a careful pat to her shoulder, I said, “I need to return this quickly. Chriselda must be heading to the room to search for it.”
“Okay,” Eve agreed, stepping inside to change.
I stood outside the door waiting while thinking about that gown on her.
That dress… it was a gift to Violet from me. It was the first thing I ever gave to her when I realized my feelings for her Majesty, and she made it her favorite Royal attire.
That’s why Charlotte got a trigger when she saw the gown. She recognized the purple dress Violet was mainly remembered in the most.
That gave her quite a fright.
As soon as Evolet came out and handed me the dress, I grabbed Trent’s phone and quickly dashed back to Violet’s bedroom, placing it back in the right position where I took it from.
I made sure everything looked the same way it has been for years, to keep that woman in the state of mind I plan for her to be in.
And the moment I shut the wardrobe close, “She’s here,” I muttered, picking Chriselda’s scent.
Swiftly, I hid myself under the bed, waiting for her majesty to step inside.
She came in with force and checked the window, before rushing to the closet to find the gown.
When she saw it, she was petrified.
Her rage and reaction were perfect. I took them all with the phone record, watching her cry and ordering Violet’s spirit to stay away from the throne.
A throne that never belonged to her in the first place.
Soon she’ll face the music.
“My Queen, what are you doing here?”
“Thel… Thelma?” Chriselda trembled, lifting her head to see the sorceress standing at the door, looking at her.
“Where have you been?!” She sparked, rising to her feet to face the old lady.
That’s true. She hasn’t been around all day. Where did this old hag wonder off to?
“Do you know what has been going on? Everything is falling apart! No one wants me as the Queen anymore. They want Violet back, and… and that dead woman is trying to take my throne! She’s here!”
“Calm down, Luna. Just relax and come with me,” the sorceress said calmly, pulling Chriselda out of the room and shutting it lock from the outside.
There was this strange feeling that took over me when I saw Thelma. That old hag had a suspicious aura surrounding her. Not just that, she’s looking much stronger and healthier than when… “She used it,” I realized immediately.
Why didn’t I notice it quickly when she calmly apologized to Evolet over the accusation Chriselda made?
She took it to renew her lost strength!
“I have to tell the others.” I kept the phone in my pocket and left through the window.
.
“ARGH! Why didn’t I see it?!” Evolet groaned, slapping her forehead.
I shared my discovery with them and they weren’t pleased with the fact that the sorceress has used the energy she took from Evolet, for herself.
“This is something we can’t take back. We just need to move ahead and finish what we started,” I said, sitting next to Eve while showing them the video.
They were amused when they heard Chriselda screaming and exposing her crime in fear.
“We can finally give her that woman a reply,” I said with pride, handing the phone back to Kitty Cat.
“You are one badass spy, Cadell. You never miss the best part,” Trent praised, replaying the video.
“He deserves a reward for this. Isn’t that right?” Derby gave Eve a cunning smile, with a wink accompanying her gesture.
I clearly read that sign language and hoped someone would do as her friend had said.
Well, Evolet couldn’t hide her pride in my action. She smiled and said, pulling closer from the side, with her arms falling around my neck, “You deserve a reward indeed, my Pervy Wolf. Muah!”
Eve pecked me on the cheek, making me frown.
She saw my expression and came out laughing. “What?” she chuckled on.
Oh, she knows why I’m frowning. I want more than that!
“How about repeating that here?” I smirked, patting my lips.
And as usual, Eve shied away with a push to my face. “I’m not falling for that trick, Cadell. I know what comes after that,”She said, simpering at me.
“Smart girl. Remember, Trent and Derby won’t be here to shield you. I’ll like to see how you avoid my attacks tonight.” I chuckled at her, leaving Eve’s cheek turning red.
She knows what I mean.
Trent told us how they got more videos of that pervy man called an Alpha, carrying out his disgusting act with some of the ladies in the mansion.
And just as we were planning our next step, “Eve, your phone is ringing,” Derby pointed out to the buzzing device on the bed.
“It’s Mom,” Eve said, letting out a smile.
I assumed Agnes felt like asking Evolet how things were going, but we weren’t expecting the information she dropped.
“She came to the house?!” Eve exclaimed, looking at us in shock.
She immediately placed her phone in speaker so we could listen to Agnes.
“Yes, she did! That woman came looking for Cadell and Trent. She was asking for their home address!” Agnes shared, stunning us.
“Looking for us? When did that madness start?” Trent asked in astonishment, drawing closer with Derby.
“It’s indeed madness. You need to see the way she displayed her power here, asking questions about my home! She came along with Beta Dean, thinking he could convince me to comply,” Agnes said, getting annoyed.
“Did she tell you why she wants us?” I asked, finding this move of Chriselda suspicious. Why looking for Trent and I?
“She said Evolet is unhappy at the mansion and needs some kind of motivation from you two. Most especially from her boyfriend.”
“Huh?!” Eve’s eyes popped at the dumb reason Chriselda made. Even Derby and Trent had the same expression as Evolet’s.
“Her boyfriend? That means she knows Eve has someone yet she’s fine with it? I smell a devious scheme here,” I pointed out, having full believe in my words.
“The Queen wants to use us against Evolet. How can that woman be calm after hearing one of the damsels has a lover?” I asked, lifting my brow at them.
“Nah, you’re right. She wants to set a trap for us. She’s targeting all of us,” Trent backed, seeing the scheme behind Chriselda’s request.
“As we’re working to take her out, she’s also working to take you out. Goddess, we need to be fast about this,” Agnes panicked, getting uncomfortable.
We could understand how she was feeling, and calmed her mood.
“Don’t worry yourself, Mom. Remember we are a strong team. We’ll defeat her before she makes her move,” Evolet spoke confidently, holding my hand tight.
I smiled, feeling proud of my girl.
She’s bolder and stronger than ever.
“Cadell?” Agnes called, taking my mind off Eve.
“Please can you come over? I need your help with something real quick.”
“Alright, I’ll be there,” I promised, before she ended the call.
With what Agnes had shared, we decided to take the final step now and give Chriselda the shock she never expected.
.
Later, I left the others and came over to the house to see Agnes. She was sitting outside when I arrived as a wolf.
When she saw me, she gave out a smile and invited me inside.
I shifted into my form and asked, while looking around the living room, “How may I be of service to you, my beautiful mother?” I joked, planting a beam on her face.
She gestured me to sit down on the couch before asking, “Cadell, I know everything feels stuffy for us at the moment, but… when do you plan on telling Evolet the truth?”
My heart skipped a bit. I lifted my eyes at a worried Agnes, who shared her fear with me. “I don’t want anything bad to happen to my girl. I fear that both Queen Chriselda and the sorceress might want to harm her after they are exposed and rejected by the people. When they discover her gift… I just feel so…”
“Agnes, relax.” I held her hands, giving her my support.
“Nothing will happen to her, I promise. She’s also my responsibility, so it’s my duty to make sure she doesn’t get hurt or… or even killed.” I flashed to Violet’s body and immediately took my mind away from that scene.
“This time I’ll be here to protect her from any danger. She’s going to be fine.”
“I trust you on that. A crazy man like yourself will surely go to any length to protect his mate.”
“I have no other choice. I love her a lot.”
Agnes chuckled, caressing my face.
“Don’t worry about it. I made a promise after all. She will learn it all.”
With a satisfying smile, she said, “Thank you, Cadell. I feel better.”
I was about to respond when I picked up a scent around the house.
Quickly, I directed my eyes to the window and saw a shadow running with speed.
Calmly, I said to Agnes, who noticed the change in my behaviour, “Wait here. I’ll be right back.”
“Cadell, what happened?” she asked, watching me make my move.
I didn’t reply but carefully walked up to the door and began releasing darkness into the house. The whole place went dark completely, but I could still see were I was going.
With speed, I zoomed out of the house and followed the scent of this wolf spying outside the home.
And as soon as I found this intruder trying to figure out what happened to all the lights, I grabbed him by the neck and smashed his face to the wall with force!
“UGH!” The fellow groaned in pain and rushed away out of my grip, holding his face with blood dripping to the ground.
Sniffing the scent of his blood, I chuckled. “Not a bad scent you got. Maybe this time around, I’ll have to maul you till no one can recognize your face, Beta!”
That’s when this fool rose his head, looking back into my eyes with a growl.
I knew something was off when I arrived. I was picking the Beta’s scent not too far from the house. So, I decided to play along and see what he was up to.
Sensing his how strong his scent hovered around this place, I knew for a fact that he was here on a mission.
“I was right,” he breathed, covering his bleeding nose.
“You and Evolet are together! I knew that Omega had a connection with you, Bloody Rogue!” He sparked, growling back.
He’s able to tell since I’ve crossed paths with him and the Alpha before. It was during one of their Rogue hunts. They only recognize the enemy in his white hair and silver eyes, but not in my disguise.
Agnes came rushing out and was shocked to find the Beta.
He was filled with joy when he saw her reaction.
“The Queen and the Alpha would be so pleased with me when they discover that Evolet has been hiding the pack’s enemy. You’ll be killed this time around, Demon!” He bragged, dragging his steps backwards.
My lips crawled into a smile and I came out chuckling at this wolf that things he’s smart.
“You know, people need to learn how to stay shut when they have a plan up their sleeves. It’s best to stay quiet and leave the opponent guessing. But in your case, you’ve already given us the details of how you’ll… You know what? Forget it,” I laughed.
“We’ll see who laughs last, Rogue. Watch and see,” he said with pride, getting set to dash off.
The moment he made his move, the Beta came falling back when I appeared in his front swiftly.
“SHIT!” He staggered back at my sudden movement.
He tried to move the other way and the result was the same.
I was expecting him to fight, since he’s Wolf Fall’s strong Beta, but I guess he still remembers the beating I gave him from last time.
When the Beta realized he couldn’t run away from me, his glance towards Agnes showed his next step.
That sparked my rage.
The minute he turned over to her point, I quickly had the Beta in my hold, forcing his head to the ground!
He groaned in the sand, struggling to push me off.
He’s wasting his energy.
“The last person who made this move didn’t end well, Beta. He didn’t live to tell the Queen what happened,” I said, looking at Agnes.
She understood what I was saying and felt emotional.
“I left you with a warning the last time you laid your hands on my Evolet, and now you’ve crossed the line by threatening my home. For that…” I pulled his head up and gave him a death stare, which sent him quivering.
“This will be your last night in Wolf Fall.”
“What… What do you mean?” He asked, spitting out sand from his mouth.
I didn’t answer but said to Agnes, who felt worried about my decision, “Everything will be fine. You can go back inside and rest.”
“Okay,” she nodded and did as I instructed.
As soon as she went into the house, I dragged Beta Dean by the neck and swiftly dashed off into the forest to finalize his fate.
Wolf Fall won’t be hearing from him anymore.
This is best for us.
