ALLEN
“Why won’t she give in? What else does she want from me? Is my confession not enough for her?!” I vented, driving back to the mansion with speed.
I almost bumped into a few vehicles on my way, but I didn’t care if anyone gets hit. I’m just so mad and frustrated!
Getting back to the mansion, a guard came up to me to pass a message from my mother. “The Queen would like you to come and see her in the chamber, Alpha,” he shared, following me from behind.
“Fine,” I responded, hurrying up the stairs.
But the guard kept following me.
Out of anger, I turned around to face him and yelled, “WHAT?!” forcing the fool to halt at once.
He bowed his head and answered, “Do forgive me, Alpha, but the Queen…”
“Haven’t you passed the message already?! GET OUT!!” I roared, pushing him from the shoulder hardly.
He staggered back with his head still bowed and said, apologizing once again, “I will leave Alpha, but please… do see her quickly. She has been searching for you all morning, looking angry.” He drew his steps back once more. “I just wanted to tell you that. Good day.” He left.
“Angry? Now why is she mad at me?” I wondered, looking perplexed. “Could it be that she found out about my visit to Evolet’s place? Damn it! Did that old sorceress reveal my location to her?!” I groaned, displeased with this message.
Getting uncomfortable, I decided to go and present myself to my mother, and also find out why she woke up this morning with chose to get mad at me.
Heading for her room, I could hear Mom yelling at the maids from inside. She sounded so crazy and it only increased my worry.
“You got this,” I sighed, before gathering my courage and stepping into the room to see the Queen.
“I said red not blue!” She sparked at the maids, throwing a vase at them.
The maids were in my front when Mom tossed the flower vase with force. When they all drew out of the way, the vase came at my direction.
Quickly, I caught it before it could hit my face, and Mom gave out a gasp on seeing what she had done.
“Allen!” she called, rising to her feet from where she sat.
“You good for nothing brats! Look at what you caused!” She sparked at the girls, growling out furiously.
“GET OUT! LEAVE MY SIGHT!” Her voice echoed around, terrifying the ladies. They all bowed their heads and dashed out of the chamber fearfully, leaving my mother and I alone.
“I am so sorry for that, Son. Those girls… They don’t know how to do anything right,” she shared, sitting back on the bed to get herself.
“It’s okay, Mom. I’m only worried about your temper. Is everything okay?” I asked, keeping the flower vase aside.
“I’ve just been lost in thoughts, Allen. This preparation for the rematch… Goddess! Everything is bringing in stress,” she sighed, covering her face with her palm.
Seeing how moody she was, I became much relaxed than before.
“I was told you were looking for me. The guard said you looked so angry. Have I done something to offend you?” I asked without any worry, sitting beside my mother and taking hold of her hands.
She glared at me and said, “I told that idiot to pass a message to you when you get back, not to talk about my personal feelings to the world! Fools! That’s the kind of helpers we have in this mansion!”
Her response was a confirmation that she wasn’t mad at me nor does she know about my visit to Evolet’s home. “Looks like I’m in good hands.” I smirked, still caressing Mom’s hands.
“I was looking for you so you’d help me out with the hunt. Remember you agreed to help me with the opening?” she said, pulling her hands out of my hold and rising to her feet.
“Yes, I did,” I answered, flashing to our brief chat from last night when she returned from her outing with Sorceress Thelma.
Mom walked up to a table and took a sheet of paper from there, saying as she retraced her steps back to me, “I have the list of the damsels and activities to be carried out during the hunt. You will be the one to conduct the opening a week time. Just try your best in making everything go well, Allen. Let the people see that you are indeed invested in this hunt, like you portrayed.”
“You can count on me on that, my Queen. I won’t disappoint you,” I promise, bowing at her.
She smiled and finally dismissed me.
I exited the room with the paper in my hold, thinking of how the game would be conducted. I went through the sheet and saw the names of the beauties, written from beginning to end. And my sweet Evolet’s name was among the list.
“I thought she wouldn’t add?,” I smirked, fixing my gaze on Eve’s name.
But it can’t wipe the anger I’m feeling towards that stubborn Omega. “She should be lucky that a whole Alpha left the comfort of his home to beg someone like her to be his mate. That’s something every damsel would crawl for if they were given such an opportunity. But Evolet… She wants my whole body to touch the soil before she’ll accept my wish! No, I will do no such thing!”
I don’t think I can cope with her habit for long. She won’t give in and it’s already making me lose my senses.
“Seems I’ll have to take my mind off her and…” Just then, my phone buzzed. I pulled it out of my pocket and checked. Only for me to see a live video of Evolet and Fiona battling each other at the pack square!
“What? Is… is this taking place now?” My eyes came large as I carefully leaned against the wall to see how Evolet wowed the people with a killer move, using her fists to silence Fiona once and for all.
My heart… I couldn’t contain the heat overwhelming my body. She’s just too perfect… Perfect to be my Queen. She’s indeed the one for me!
“I don’t care any more, Evolet. Even if I have to fight your boyfriend to make you mine, I will do it. I want you… I love you so much.” I caressed her image, biting down on my lower lip.
