EVOLET
“It’s the only option left,” I groaned, dragging myself into the forest after managing to escape Gamma Dave and his men’s brutal attack on me.
Those monsters showed their true colors in a few minutes. They didn’t care about the people in our path, but flung them aside like trash. They were so desperate to get me.
Every corner I ran into, they where there.
I was lucky to have dodged one of them when he slashed his claws at my ribs, with the goal to pin me down. But it was by the goddess’s grace that I made it. I only ran off into many corners to cover my tracks from them, diving into the forest with a bleeding rib.
“Just a few more steps, Eve,” I moaned, leaning against a tree to check the wound given to me by that beast.
It wasn’t that serious, but it ached.
“If only my wolf was active, I would have healed up quickly,” I sighed, covering that area while heading deeper into the forest.
I have no destination in mind at the moment, just a plan. No matter where I run to, I’m sure Gamma Dave would find me. I just want to create a big gap between me and them, so I can reach out to Cadell and Trent, with the phone Trent gifted me.
I recall him telling me about his contact being saved in the phone while teaching me how to operate the device. That’s my way out of this situation.
From the time I lost those beasts and headed into the forest, I haven’t heard any sound or footsteps from behind. That was a sign that I was far away from their reach.
“It’s now or never,” I sighed, pulling out the phone from my other pocket. I began to search for Trent’s contact, feeling my hands trembling at the same time.
“God dammit! I know it’s here. He said I’ll spot it when I click on this icon,” I panicked, sliding my finger on the screen.
Finally, I saw Trent’s number and clicked on it.
Just as I was about to place it close to my ear, something sparkled from the corner of my eyes, gaining my attention. The moment I turned to see what it was… SWOOSH! My phone went flying out of my hand and straight into a tree!
I gasped out in horror, gazing at my phone! It was pinned into the tree with a silver dagger, destroying the screen immediately!
My heart flew right into my throat, as I heard the sound of growls and leaves rustling from behind. There was no need to turn and see who was responsible. I just took to my heels, running away from that spot.
The footsteps I was searching for at the start, could be heard loudly and intensely. It rang in every corner, increasing my fear.
The only option out of this problem has been destroyed. What am I going to do? How am I going to get out of this terrible situation?
“Goddess, I need you,” I prayed, taking hold of my necklace. “Please let Cadell know I need help. Give him a sign, please!”
As I ran off with speed… “Oof!” My face came in contact with something hard that just appeared from behind the tree I was about to run pass. I fell to the ground, feeling my face hurting, only to open my eyes clearly to find Gamma Dave in his Werewolf form, standing before me.
The bastard! It was his arm I ran into. He must have dashed ahead of the others to corner me.
“For a weakling, you sure are troublesome!” He groaned, stepping closer.
I crawled back, staring into his cold raging eyes.
“From the first day I heard about you, I knew that something was Off about this Wolfless Omega with a pet dog. And now it’s crystal clear,” he grinned, almost stumping on my feet.
Quickly, I pulled my legs back and turned around to crawl away. But his men had blocked my path, surrounding me in their circle.
I’m trapped. I… I can’t escape.
“Running will only make things worst for you, Evolet,” Gamma Dave said, forcing me to turn back and see how close he was.
“ARGH!” I grunted as my neck was grabbed in Gamma Dave’s hold speedily, squeezing it tightly. He lifted me off the ground, laughing menacingly, while I struggled to break free. “Are you ready to speak up, Omega? Tell me where the Rogue is, and I’ll spare you the punishment. Think wisely or else..” He added more strength to his grip, slowly taking my breathe from me.
In my state, I choked out, “Do… Your… Worst!”
That angered the Gamma deeply. He began breathing heavily, letting out a loud roar that nearly blocked my eardrums. “So be it! I don’t need you to find them. If it means that Wolf Fall will have to be turned upside down…” He lifted me into the air, pulling out a silver dagger from his fur! “… then I am ready for it.”
Before he could sent the blade into my body… “AHHH!” We both heard one of his men screaming out from the side.
Gamma Dave immediately turned to look and was stunned by what he saw. “It… It can’t be,” He uttered in shock, slowly lowering me down.
I managed to turn my head, just to find a mighty Werecat, slamming and beating the Gamma’s men around like rags. The furious Tiger gave out a loud roar directly at the Gamma!
This left me astonished! Trent… He’s here!
I directed my eyes on a appalled Gamma, who wondered how the Alpha Cat was in Wolf Fall. “I thought he left?!” He groaned, still looking at Trent, who was handling his men.
Seeing how distracted he was, I sent my knee right under his jaw with force, causing the Gamma to lose his grip on me. I fell to the ground, gasping out for air while rubbing my neck and drawing away from this Psychopath.
“ARGH!” Gamma Dave roared out, flashing his eyes at me. He came storming my way, ready to launch his claws at me when in a flash… darkness engulfed the furious Gamma!
“Is… Is that…” When I saw this, my heart glowed, filling my face with smiles!
And right in the darkness, I heard Gamma Dave screaming out in terror, followed by his body flying straight out of the dark cloud and right to the ground.
As he tried to get back on his feet, a human hand grabbed his neck from the darkness, lifting him off the floor. I saw fear in the Gamma’s eyes. His gaze kept falling on the hand around his neck then back at the dark cloud!
Once the darkness cleared off, the desperate Gamma’s eyes popped out on seeing Cadell, who flashed his silver eyes at him!
“Cadell,” I called softly with my heart glowing brightly with joy!
My Pervy Wolf is here! Thank you Goddess. But how did they find me here? The call never went through, so how?
