EVOLET
“I knew it,” Gamma Dave choked out, chuckling in Cadell’s grip. “The moment… I watched that video for the tenth time, I had a feeling that the… the grumpy fellow going head to head with my Alpha… was the Rogue himself,” He chortled, ignoring the fact that he was at Cadell’s mercy.
Cadell didn’t say a thing but kept his cold gaze on Gamma Dave, tilting his head to the side. Looking at his face, I could see the same fury he had when Beta Dean tried to force himself on me that night.
That face expression is enough to tell me the doom Gamma Dave is about to face. And this time, I won’t yell out to Cadell to stop. He can die for all I care.
“What’s next, Rogue? I now know your secret identity!” Gamma Dave bragged, grabbing Cadell’s hand, trying to break free. But it was impossible.
Despite being in his wolf form, he couldn’t overpower human Cadell. He looked like a complete loser at the mercy of a child.
“You are in so much trouble, Omega!” The idiot still had the guts to talk to me, laughing out hysterically. “You aren’t just harboring the Pack’s enemy, but the Alpha Cat as well! Oh, you are in so much trouble when the Queen hears this! She will… ARK!” He choked, going shut at once.
“You talk too much,” Cadell said, tightening his grip on the Gamma.
“Tell me… How’s the Queen going to hear about this if you don’t return to the pack alive?” Cadell questioned Gamma Dave, staring at the struggling Wolf.
I saw the Gamma’s eyes widen at Cadell’s question, as he forced out through his lips, “You… can’t… you can’t harm…”
Before he could complete his statement, Cadell threw him into a tree like a dart with force, causing the tree to fall down to earth!
My whole body shook when I saw this. I had to drift away, taking shelter near a different tree, away from the terror that’s about to be unleashed on the Gamma and his men.
“You asked for a Rogue, didn’t you?” Cadell uttered, approaching the Gamma, as his brown hair and eyes smoothly transformed into his white hair and silver eyes. “Well, you are in luck, Pretty boy. I’m gonna make this night special for you,” Cadell chuckled, as dark clouds began to surround him with speed.
And in a flash, he had shifted into his enormous werewolf, roaring at Gamma Dave.
I saw terror in the eyes of the Gamma. He wasn’t up to Cadell’s size! Trembling at the beast before him, he dragged himself backwards, grabbing the fallen tree next to him! With a swoosh, he slammed it right at Cadell, but gazed in fear when the tree broke without causing any damage on Cadell!
Before any other plan could get into that head of his, Cadell’s hand had covered Gamma Dave’s whole face, grabbing him off the floor and SLAM! Right back on the hard ground!
“I fear no one, not even your Queen!” Cadell roared, stumping hard on the Gamma’s chest, delivering a blow to his face. “Only Rumors about my sighting scares that Old hag and her sorceress, and you know that very well… Gamma.”
Again, he punched Dave right in the face, causing most of his teeth to fall out! This made my body shiver while watching. But I wasn’t afraid, since the one facing the punishment was the psychopath who tried to kill me.
I saw him spat out so much blood, before he finally yelled out a war cry, forcing Cadell’s leg off from his body.
“The Queen fears no one! Not even you!” He roared out, spitting out the blood in his mouth once more. Despite the fact that he stood no chance against Pervy Wolf, the stubborn Gamma still attacked like the wild beast he was!
Well, It’s his funeral.
“Trent,” I gasped, remembering that Cadell didn’t come alone. I looked over to the side and saw Trent dealing with the Gamma’s accomplice.
A smooth and flexible Cat indeed. It was hard for them to get hold or inflict any pain on him. Instead, he was the one inflicting excruciating torture with his claws and teeth.
Trent gave them so many scars and even bit one right on the shoulder, ripping off his flesh!
My lips curved into a smile at the sight of the fellow’s bleeding shoulder and disturbing cry. “I bet that will never heal,” I said, watching how they were handled by Trent.
“Wait a minute,” I uttered, noticing something off about the men Trent was beating.
But before I could put one and two together… THUD! I turned to my right where I heard the sound and found Gamma Dave in his human form, breathing heavily! His face… Oh my Goodness… His face was battered like hell! And his jaw? It was no longer in it’s right position!
Gamma Dave’s jaw had shifted to the side, causing his mouth to bleed profoundly!
I was filled with horror, as I watched him struggle on the ground, begging Cadell to spare him. “I won’t come after you again, I promise. Please… Please!” He cried through his broken mouth, drifting away from Cadell.
A strong wave ran across my body at the sight of the Gamma’s legs when he dragged himself further away from Pervy Wolf. Both feet had been bent back in the most horrifying manner.
Now I felt like throwing up. I covered my mouth, lifting my gaze to see Cadell, still in his Wolf, approaching Gamma Dave slowly.
“Please, Spare me! I admit that I was foolish from the start. I thought I could fish you out for the Alpha and the Queen, but I made a mistake! I promise to keep off. You won’t see me anywhere near Evolet. I swear!” He cried, still dragging back.
But his back met with Trent’s feet. The Alpha Cat, who just finished dealing with the Gamma’s men, stood in Dave’s way so he won’t escape Cadell’s wrath.
“No, please!” His cries sounded disturbing to my ears.
I had to cover them and shut my eyes, so I wouldn’t witness how Gamma Dave would be torn apart from limb to limb. I don’t plan to stop Cadell. Dave’s fate has been sealed already. It’s written in Cadell’s eyes.
Just then… “GET AWAY FROM HIM!” Someone yelled from behind, startling me.
Before I could turn and see who it was, an arm came around my neck, putting me in a choke-hold!
“IF YOU KILL MY GAMMA, I’M GOING TO SEND THIS DAGGER STRAIGHT INTO HER THROAT!” The latter placed his silver dagger close to my face, revealing his identity.
“I knew it! The men Trent was facing weren’t up to four, but three! He must have stayed hidden, that’s why I didn’t notice on time. Damn it!” I groaned, staring at the dagger which was placed to my throat.
Cadell and Trent immediately looked at our direction and spotted the fellow holding me. In anger, they growled, flashing their eyes while leaving Gamma Dave to wallow in pains, drawing closer to this dummy.
“STAY BACK! I SAID STAY BACK OR ELSE!” He shouted, dragging me with him.
“Or else what?” Cadell questioned in his deep voice, causing the fellow to tremble. I felt his body vibrate at the sound of Cadell’s tone. Looks like brave man isn’t as bold as he appears. I should be able to handle him on my own.
“I dare you, tough guy. If I see a trace of blood on her neck, then you are going to see yourself six feet under the ground.” Cadell threatened, drawing closer.
This added to the fellow’s panic, causing his hand to shake. I could feel the dagger touching my skin more than before.
“If I don’t break free, he might send that blade into me carelessly,” I reasoned, getting myself ready.
“Don’t… Don’t try me!” The fool yelled, grabbing me back once more and pressing his dagger on my throat. “I will kill her before you can touch me! Just try me and… Oof!” I elbowed him right in the stomach, causing him to lose his grip on the dagger.
Just when I was about to pull out of his hold, I felt the latter’s grip on my necklace. He held it tight and forcefully dragged it in an attempt to pull me back into his clutches.
But instead of falling back, my necklace… It broke!
I saw the beads falling to the ground and… “NOOO!” I heard Cadell’s piercing roar which startled me immediately.
Why did he scream like that? But I’m fine.
As my head came lifting to look at both Trent and Cadell, I was stunned by what I saw. Cadell… He was running straight at me but… in slow motion!
Everything around me was slow! EVERYTHING!
“What’s… What’s happening?” I panicked, feeling my heart racing.
And just then… HOWL!
“Wolf?” I gasped, hearing the voice of a wolf howling in this sudden pace.
Before I could turn to find out where it was coming from, something powerful dragged me back into darkness. “AHHH!” I screamed out in fear, seeing myself falling into nothingness! And just like that, I landed on something soft like a bed of roses.
I opened my eyes to see myself sitting on what looked like grass. But it wasn’t the normal green grass we know, It was a glowing purple grass!
“What is this?” I questioned, but no one was around to answer me.
When I lifted my eyes to the sky… “Oh my…” I was shocked.
There was this strange opening above. That’s my eyes! I could still see Cadell dashing at me in slow motion!
The nothingness… It’s the inside of my body! What is going on here?!
All of a sudden, something ran pass me, causing the cold wind to hover all around my body. I looked ahead and saw the most beautiful wolf I’ve ever seen in my life.
It was big and had a gorgeous white sparkling fur that shimmered like the stars in the heaven. Every pace it made brought light, with sparkling purple lights following each steps!
I was mesmerized.
If this is my body then… “My wolf. That’s… that’s my wolf!” I gasped at this realization, watching this magnificent creature dashing straight for my eyes with the purple light forming a bridge.
I couldn’t tell what was going on, until everything flashed brightly at my face, causing me to go blind.
When I regained my sight, I saw myself fully in my body again. But… something wasn’t right. Something was wrong with me!
“What… What am I doing?!” I gasped in shock, watching me lift the fellow that broke my necklace, right into the air.
What stunned me more was my lips. It began to speak! But I wasn’t the one controlling it. Something was using my body!
“May the Goddess forgive you, filthy wolf,” I heard from my own mouth, watching something like a spirit, leaving the body of the fellow in form of a wolf!
Oh no. That’s indeed his wolf! I’m taking someone’s beast away!
“EVOLET!” I heard Trent calling out to me from behind. When my body turned, I saw Cadell, who was now human, shielding Trent from me.
The shock in Trent’s eyes made my worried, but Cadell’s gaze weakened me deeply. In his eyes… it felt like he was looking at a monster!
Suddenly, my body moved with speed, grabbing Gamma Dave from the ground with one hand. He was shaking like he had seen a ghost, begging me not to burn him.
“You do not deserve the Goddess’s mercy. I won’t just take away your wolf, but more,” my lips spoke, as I watched myself taking out Gamma Dave’s Wolf.
His body shook in my hands, making me tremble from within.
I couldn’t take what was happening before my eyes. Why am I not in control? What is wrong with me?!
Once I emptied Gamma Dave, my body swiftly responded to a sudden attack from someone behind me. When it turned, I saw Cadell facing me head on.
He was the one who tried to use his darkness to engulf me, but my body reacted quickly.
As we both stared into each other’s eyes, my body immediately dashed into the forest, running away from Cadell with speed.
Seeing this, I became afraid. I decided to take back my body and stop whatever was controlling me. But when I tried, something flashed right into my eyes, stopping me from taking over.
On opening my eyes… “Where am I?” I uttered, getting scared of my surrounding.
It’s a forest, that I can see. But… Who am I?
