ALLEN
“Even if she’s the Queen, she can’t stop me from doing what I want. I am the Alpha of this pack! I have a say!” I spoke to my reflection in the mirror, finding it hard to control the anger in me.
I just came back from my mother’s chamber after a heated argument with her. Before the sorceress, she ordered me to stay away from Evolet, calling her unfit.
“She had her chance in the game but failed! It’s either you pick a mate from the damsels present or I pick your Luna myself!” she had decided, humiliating me in front of Sorceress Thelma.
“Obey your Queen, Alpha Allen. She knows what’s best for you,” the elderly sorceress said.
This felt shameful yet frustrating.
I stormed out of her chamber and came down to my room to vent my rage on the furniture, tossing and turning everything down in my path.
“She promised me, didn’t she?! Why is she going against her words now?!” I roared, smashing the mirror with my fist. “Why is she against Evolet?! Damn!”
I’m mad with my mother for hurting me like this. After all her promises, she failed me.
“This isn’t fair. This is unfair to me, goddess!” I lifted my eyes to the heavens, questioning the Queen above. “Why now? Why didn’t you open my eyes earlier? If you had shown me the beautiful side of that angel, she wouldn’t be far from me by now. In my arms… Yes. By now Evolet would have been in my hold, enjoying my warm embrace.”
I imagined her hugging me, with her head placed against my chest. Her arms squeezing me close, begging me to never let go.
“Allen, you know I love you so much, right?” Her sweet voice streamed into my ears innocently. “I’ve always loved you, Allen. I want to be yours forever.”
“Of course you will be mine, my darling. I belong to you only, and no one else. I love you,” I professed to her, running my hands on her beautiful body.
She was diving deeper into my embrace, with her head falling back in pleasure. The skin of her neck tempted me swiftly. I couldn’t hold back my hunger but pulled her closer, running my lips on her tender skin.
She wants me, and I want her too.
Slowly, I directed Eve to my bed as her sweet voice kept on ringing in my mind, asking if I truly loved her as much as she does. “I want to know if it’s from your heart, Allen. I don’t want to get…”
“Eve, I do. I do love you. I really want you,” I confessed, taking her lips in mine. “Trust me. You are the only one for me,” I muttered, giving her my assurance.
Her gasp was a sign of hope. She believed my words, wrapping her arms around my neck with her lips pressing down on mine.
“You belong to Allen alone. You’re my Luna.”
“Allen?” I heard a familiar voice from behind, forcing my eyes open. And when it came wide opened, I realized Eve was never here. She was never in my arms. It’s all my imagination!
“Damn it!” I groaned softly, turning around to see Fiona in my room.
“Goodness! What happened here?” Her eyes came large at the mess I made, as she carefully made her path through the broken glasses, approaching me.
I didn’t hesitate to turn my back on her. Eve is still on my mind.
“If I hadn’t acted so stupid and kicked her out of my study that day, maybe she wouldn’t have changed towards me. Her words wouldn’t have been harsh,” I referred to her attitude when I saw her again in the mansion.
I overheard the maidens talking about her while heading to the dining that day. That was my opportunity to see and speak to Eve. But despite my sweet approach, she disrespected me.
I can still remember what she said when I asked how she was doing. “Since when did you start to care about me, Alpha? As far as I remember, you have never spoken to me with so much care after that day. What’s with this drama?” She had questioned, glaring at me.
I had to chuckle and make her know it wasn’t a play but a serious case. “I won’t approach a beauty without a reason. And I’m sure our heart knows what it is.”
“Yeah, I do. You want to break my spirit completely, since you aren’t satisfied with the last one.”
“What?” I was startled at that statement she made.
She didn’t even give me the chance to speak, but kept showing her detest towards me. I wasn’t expecting that. I thought she still loved me?
When she made a step to leave, I immediately held her hand back but got a bit frightened by her wolf, who growled at me furiously.
Her pet had nothing but rage for me, and it left me contemplating if I should let go or not. But Evolet was a step ahead. She flung my hand off hers and left.
That was an eye opener. Something or someone has said something to spike my Evolet’s hatred against me.
Even in anger, she’s gorgeous. How I wish… Oh, how I wish the goddess opened my eyes on time. She’s perfect. The true definition of a Queen. She’s mine alone.
“Why aren’t you saying anything, my love?” Fiona asked, pulling me out from my thought again!
“I asked you a question but you said nothing.”
“Can’t you see I’m busy here?!” I sparked, turning around to face her. Her face filled with fear, taking a step back from me.
I noticed her eyes welling with tears, as she asked, “Did I offend you, Allen?”
I hate this kind of drama. But what can I do? I still need Fiona’s body until I’m tired.
Having no choice, I carefully took hold of her hand and pulled her close into my arms. She immediately fell on me, embracing me tightly.
“I’m sorry, Allen. I was only looking out for you. You know I love you so much. I really do.”
“I know, Fiona. It’s okay,” I said, petting her.
Her scent no longer drove me crazy like the first time I had fun with her. I wonder how Evolet’s scent will move me when I hold her like this one day.
But first… “Tell me something Fiona.” I lifted her off my chest to see her face. She smiled at me, waiting for me to speak. “During your last fight with that Omega, Evolet… Did you tell her anything about my plan to get rid of her?”
“What? No! I… I didn’t tell her anything.” She swayed her head.
“Are you sure?” I asked, lifting a brow at her suspiciously.
“Trust me, Allen. I didn’t tell her anything,” she assured me, pecking me on the cheek. But the aura coming from her body tells a different thing entirely.
Just like that friend of Evolet had said that night, I believe my true Queen allowed Fiona to win the battle on purpose.
The way she fought shocked me. It was clear that Fiona was going to fail, but out of the blue, Eve lost.
She lost intentionally!
“Why did you ask, my love? Has that Omega done something to annoy you? Please, tell me dear,” Fiona requested.
“No, I’m just thinking about something,” I responded, pulling Fiona off.
But just when I was about to let go of her hand, Fiona said, “Well, she has offended me. It was during this week.”
“What are you saying?” I lifted my brow, trying to understand her. Only for Fiona to reveal something surprising to me.
“The Queen finally gave us the freedom to explore the pack till noon. On our first outing, we were trying to save a cat stuck on a tree in the forest. That’s when she showed up like some ghost and stole the spotlight!” Fiona groaned, pulling herself out of my hold, narrating how Evolet won the cat over.
This made my whole body shiver. She met Evolet during the week and I have been battling with Mom to agree to my wish. Shit!
“Who does she think she is? She’s no goddess. I can also get an animal from the wild to come to me.”
In your dreams. You can’t possess what you don’t have. For Evolet, it’s a natural gift. The gift to dominant in the sweetest way. That’s why she’s my choice. She has the heart of a Queen.
“Oh, and that’s not all,” Fiona said, snapping her finger. “The loser wasn’t alone. She had this huge guy who showed up and…”
“What?” My heart skipped at what Fiona just said. “A guy? There was a man with her?”
“Yes, there was. The man was… well I don’t want to say it, but I think he’s her boyfriend.”
Boyfriend? No, this can’t be true. Eve has a boyfriend already? But the last game isn’t up to a week! How can she have a man all of a sudden?!
“You should see the way the others were drooling at his charm. So what if he’s handsome and all that? He’s disrespectful! He insulted me, Allen. He and that loser made fun of your Queen,” Fiona reported, drawing closer for a hug with fear tears in her eyes, just to get me to sympathize with her.
“He said no one cares about me. But I know he’s lying. I have you and the pack’s love. Isn’t that right Allen?”
“Yes,” I responded just to get her to shut up.
But this information… No, this has to be a mistake. Fiona must have mistaken this person for Evolet’s boyfriend. And if he really is her lover, then… “I won’t allow it. No one can take Eve from me. I guess I have no other choice but to take the step. I won’t wait for mother any more. Her stubbornness will only make me lose my Queen. I have to see Evolet,” I decided in my thoughts, tightening my fist while thinking of this… man!
Let this be a lie from Fiona.
It better be.
