EVOLET
“I bet you’ll lose before the battle even starts,” Gamma Dave mocked, tossing the wooden sword at me.
I was on the ground after the bullying from the Gamma. We were having our last practice when he targeted me like yesterday, making training hard for me.
Now here I was sitting on the ground with my butt aching badly. He roughly tossed me to the floor, getting the others to laugh out loudly.
I didn’t bother to get to my feet but sat there, looking at the Gamma.
“Like I care about winning any more. Soon, I’ll be far away from this place, and you won’t get the chance to bully me again,” I muttered under my breathe, rubbing my aching buttocks.
“That’s the end of our practice. I wish you all good luck. Well, some people will need that luck on that day,” he joked, directing it at me, before exiting the arena.
Derby came to help me up, asking if I was okay.
“I’m good,” I responded with a smile, dusting my body.
That’s when we heard Fiona and the others gossiping about the game and the special event that will take place on that day.
“Once the game is over, the Queen and the Alpha will present that dangerous Werecat to the pack and have him executed.”
“I heard the Werecat is a Tiger. That means he’s an Alpha.”
“Waw, what a shame. An Alpha held captive in the land of his enemies. Well, he’s going to serve as an example to other creatures that think they can step into Wolf Fall like they own it,” Fiona said, making fun of this Werecat in question.
Hearing this, I felt sorry for this Alpha they made mention of. I’ve never seen Werecat physically in my life, but heard they are every Werewolves enemies.
Like the worst.
The Queen believes they are the main reason for the late Luna’s passing. She calls them cunning and devilish.
Still, just like Luna Violet, I believe they still have good in them. They can’t be filled with evil completely. I bet they are nice if one gets to know them.
“I better keep that to myself before people like Fiona label me as Wolf fall’s enemy over my statement.” I rolled my eyes, watching the others talk about the Alpha cat.
Derby, who stood by me, said, “I know it’s risky taking sides with the enemy, but what if that Werecat accidentally stepped into our land and the Alpha mistook his action as an attempt to attack us? What if he’s innocent?”
My body shivered in amusement over what Derby said. When I looked at her, she thought I was against her words and immediately swayed her head, saying, “I’m just saying, not that I’m supporting the Werecat.”
“I get you D. I’m just surprised that you were thinking about the creature just like me.”
“Really?” she smiled.
“Yeah. I was thinking about the past when every beings were together before the late Luna’s death. What if we’re wrong about them?”
Together, still talking, we exited the arena, leaving the others behind. Derby and I where on the same page about the Alpha cat, but didn’t want anyone hearing us.
“We should end the discussion now. You know how the Royal family gets when they hear things like this,” Derby said, giggling.
I smiled at her words, agreeing to that.
We decided to end it there, looking forward to the execution on the D day.
“Let’s see how it goes.”
“Aww! Look who’s coming,” Derby alerted, pointing ahead.
I looked and saw Cadell, in his wolf form, walking up to me with a wooden rod in his mouth.
“Now where did he get that from?”
“Looks like your baby was missing you. Just look at his adorable face,” Derby admired, going on her knees to welcome Cadell with open arms.
And when Cadell saw this, his eyes shimmered with delight. He immediately tossed the rod aside and rushed into Derby’s arms for some cuddles.
“Oh my goodness! It’s the first time he’ll ever allow me to touch him! I think he likes me!” Derby shrieked, getting excited.
No lie about that, this is the first time Cadell is allowing her to touch him. Why the sudden… “Oh Shit!”
I should have known. Derby’s top is revealing her cleavages!
This pervy wolf!
“Aren’t you adorable?” she played with Cadell while he had his head rubbing against her chest in excitement, looking at me with a smile.
“Oh Goddess! Derby doesn’t know that this big head is a full grown man. I need to stop this pervert from caressing her boobs any further,” I decided, feeling weird with the way this big ass man was fondling Derby’s chest hungrily.
Derby was enjoying Cadell’s closeness, but it was important for me to stop it.
“That’s enough Wolfy. Enough with your naughty games,” I said, pulling Cadell off Derby. The big head didn’t want to listen at first. But when my hands went tight around his neck, he obeyed.
Cadell turned over to face me with a glare, shutting his eyes midway. He’s crazy if he thinks I’ll allow him to fondle Derby’s boobs like that.
Subvert.
“Wolfy? Is that his name?” Derby asked, rising to her feet.
“Um…Yeah, that’s his name, Wolfy,” I lied, smirking at Cadell.
He didn’t like that name one bit. His side eyes says it all.
“Not bad. Funny that you never mentioned it to me. Still, it’s a sweet name. That means he’s a beast. A lady’s man,” Derby said, stroking his head, and that pleased Cadell even more.
I rolled my eyes at this before drawing closer to Cadell and saying to Derby, “I think he wants to play. Come on Wolfy. Let’s go play what… whatever it is you want to do with that rod.”
“Alright then. Do take care of yourself. I’ll come over to see you two later.”
Derby and I went our separate ways, heading to our room.
On getting closer to mine, I tried to get rid of the rod Cadell had in his mouth, but he wouldn’t budge.
“What do you want with this wood?!” I groaned, trying to pull it out from his mouth, but he stubbornly ran into my room with the rod.
“What is wrong with this… GOSH!” Frustrated, I ran into the room to get that stubborn man, but noticed another rod before Cadell. He had placed the second one down, looking at me.
Seeing this, I carefully shut the door closed and asked in confusion, “What are you doing with this sticks?”
In a swift, he transformed to his human form and said, picking both rods and tossing one at me, “You need to learn how to defend yourself than allowing others to push you around.”
“What?” I lifted my brow in confusion, trying to understand why I needed the defense.
Cadell looked at me and said, “I saw what happened out there. That jackass kept tossing you to the ground like trash, and you didn’t make any attempt to fight back.”
“Oh that? That’s nothing. You know the training is for the next game, so I see no reason to practice.”
“Really?” he tilted his head, lifting his right brow at me. “You enjoy when others pick on you?”
“Um, not really. Look, I don’t feel like doing any practice when…” Before I could complete my statement, Cadell’s stick came swooshing at me with speed.
The moment it did, something triggered in me, pushing me to block with mine quickly.
My rod stopped Cadell’s, pushing his back.
“What are you doing?!” I uttered, feeling stunned by what he did.
He didn’t listen but attacked again, making me fight back unexpectedly.
“Cadell, stop!” I sparked, launching my stick at Cadell’s chest. But he smoothly averted my attack, pointing his rod against my chest with my back resting on the wall.
I breathe out heavily from this sudden fight with Cadell, ready to scold him for making me go through this stress.
That’s when he said, drawing closer to me, “I know what your goal is, Evolet. It’s fine. But don’t forget that the Queen is watching.”
He lowered his rod and placed his hand under my chin, caressing it lovingly.
‘You are the one who said she suspects your behavior and forced you to join the practice. If you don’t show any sign of seriousness on that day, who knows what her plan for you would be. Maybe she’ll give you a second chance before the public, just to fish out the truth from you. Do you want that?” he asked with a smirk.
He wasn’t wrong. I almost forgot that the Queen is watching. Geez, who knows what the Gamma has been telling her.
“Don’t worry. As long as you have me, you’re good to go. I’ll try to help you with a few skills for that day. Just make them think you’re serious and then you can let your opponent win. How’s that?” He directed his thumb to my lips and caressed it smoothly.
My whole body shivered at Cadell’s action, causing my face to turn red.
I was about to take in his motivational speech when he said, “Maybe when next we’re playing sword fight, this two buttons will have to be opened. That way you can win easily.” He grinned, dropping his gaze down at my chest.
What an IDIOT!
“Tell me, where you cursed or this is just you?”
“Both,” he winked, drawing his face closer to mine to steal a kiss.
“GET OFF!” I pushed him back with my rod, causing Cadell to laugh.
“And keep that head of yours out of Derby’s Boobs. The next time you try it, I will strangle you like this!” I squeezed the rod in my hand to show him how he’d be handled.
But what was this perv’s response?
“HABA! HABA!! Can you do that when we’re alone in the room? You can get on me with your buttons opened. Trust me, if it’s like that, I won’t look at any other woman again. It’s a promise.” He demonstrated, getting into bed to show me how he’ll lay while I’m strangling him.
This dude is sick!
“Why don’t you punish me now? I had my head in your friend’s boobs. It was so soft. Damn, what a chest!”
“QUIET!” I roared, lifting my rod to hit Cadell. But he swiftly shifted into his wolf and ran out of the room.
“Naughty! When he gets back I’ll punish him,” I frowned, tossing the stick aside.
But Cadell’s drama had already left a mark on me. I found myself smiling and imagining the silly scenario he just created, fantasizing myself on him with my… “What are you doing, Evolet?! Goodness!” I rubbed my face, swaying my head.
“This is what happens when you stay with someone for long. They start to influence you into their own ways! Oh Goddess, help me from Cadell’s habits.”
