EVOLET
“You make my world go round. I can’t wait to have you,” he professed to Fiona, locking lips with her.
She moaned in his hold, forcing his shirt open, and pulling him down to the ground.
The sight of this tore my heart apart. In horror, I drew back at once, so I won’t watch them make out.
Even though I wasn’t looking, Fiona’s moans ate me up, as she called Allen’s name amidst their… I… I just can’t stand this. It’s too much to take in.
Too much.
“Allen, Yes! Harder! Harder!!” she sang, begging for more.
My whole body shivered, as I drew my feet again, recalling the night I allowed Allen to take my first kiss from me.
“I… I thought… I thought I was his true love?” My lips trembled, flashing to that beautiful moment with him.
“That beautiful line… The diamond ring… How many women did he sing that same lyrics to and stole their hearts?”
Thinking about this increased my breathing. My heart went heavy. And for a minute, I had a heart attack.
The Gamma’s words rang in my head, reminding me of Allen’s plan to get me evicted from the hunt.
And it’s because of him I joined this hunt in the first place. I thought he organized this to look for me, but… it was all in my head. Allen was never looking for me. He never loved me!
“Goddess… Goddess,” I breathed out, placing my hand on my necklace while shaking. My vision went blurry with wells of tears in my eyes, as I distanced myself away from the door and the sounds of those two making out.
“Why me? Why?” I sobbed, dragging my feet backwards.
I could no longer think straight. All I wanted to do was run far away from this scenario, to a place I’d forget my feelings for Allen and forget him.
“I can’t. I just can’t,” I sobbed, turning around to leave. But all of a sudden, I bumped into something hard in my path.
Knowing well that I wasn’t close to a wall, I lifted my head to see what was standing in my way. That’s when I spotted Beta Dean staring at me in surprise.
“Evolet? What are you doing here?” he asked, placing both hands on my arms.
I couldn’t speak or even utter a word. I lost my voice.
I noticed Beta Dean looking towards the room Allen and Fiona where in. He immediately grabbed what was going on, looking down at me with pity. “I’m sorry you had to see that. I’m so sorry,” he apologized, caressing my arms.
Hearing him apologize forced out my tears even harder. I came out crying, lowering my head down. That’s how Beta Dean pulled me into his hold, pacifying my bleeding heart.
“Don’t cry, Evolet. Please, don’t cry,” he said, petting me on the head.
I was lost in tears, burying my head on the Beta for support.
“You don’t deserve this pain. A beauty like yourself shouldn’t go through all this stress. It isn’t for you.”
I sniffed, trying to put a stop to my tears. But it ceased on it’s own, when I felt Beta Dean’s hands doing more than petting. He… he was caressing my body in a strange manner.
I felt his fingers playing with the hook of my bra, which brought a stop to my tears at once.
What is he doing?
“Don’t worry. I’m here for you. I’ll take good care of you. I promise,” he whispered, caressing harder and inappropriately.
When I felt his hands going down to my waist… “What are you doing?!” I forced myself out of his arms, stepping away from the Beta, who didn’t look pleased with my action.
“Evolet, why being jumpy? Look, I know you’re hurt. Let me help…”
“No!” I rejected, stepping back when he came close. “I don’t need the kind of help you’re rendering! Is… is that how to comfort one in pain? You are touching me in the wrong way, and you call it help?” I vented, expressing my discomfort towards his action.
I thought he was going to apologize, but he didn’t. Instead, the Beta’s face expression changed, sending a trigger warning into my head at once.
There was this voice telling me to run away from him, and… it terrified me.
Just then, “We wouldn’t be facing this trouble if you hadn’t left Alpha Allen that night,” Beta Dean said, glaring at me.
His words stunned me.
What has my action got to do with him then?
“If you had just given him the chance to make love to you, I wouldn’t be here by now, but in the arms of another damsel.”
“Make love to me? What nonsense are you saying?” This was beginning to scare me.
Beta Dean’s lips came spreading into a grin like a psychopath, moving closer. Seeing this, I took a big step away from him, shaking.
It was clear to me that I wasn’t safe with him anymore. The energy coming from the Beta was frightening.
“You did this to me, Evolet. I am in this state because of you,” he said, accusing me of a crime I never committed.
“I was never this crazy about a woman before. You caused this.”
“I don’t understand,” I uttered, drawing further to the staircase, making sure I was getting nearer to it to make my escape.
I heard Beta Dean chuckle at my response, saying, “So innocent. That’s why I can’t get you out of mind. If you had stayed that night and allowed Alpha Allen to get in-between your legs… I would have had my own share of the fun after him.”
“What?!” I was shocked to hear this from him.
He grinned wider, revealing the plans he and Allen had for me that night. “Just when we needed a lady to feast on, you showed up just in time, but ruined the mood by leaving. Alpha Allen was able to get over it by getting another lady for us to play with, but I never forgot about you, Evolet. Your face remained imprinted in my memory, hoping for the day I’d find and get you in bed.”
I gasped, listening to all the terrible schemes he had planned for me. This was horrifying.
I kept my distance away from him. He kept getting closer and closer, talking about his desire to have my body in his hold.
“It’s been hard for me, Evolet. I couldn’t get you out of my head. That’s when the heaven decided to bless me by bringing you to the hunt. They heard my prayers and brought you to me.”
He bit down on his lower lip disgustingly and said, “I would have dived in, but I had to be patient. And the moment I saw your beautiful body in the shower…”
“Shower? When did you see me in the…” I paused, recalling the noise I heard outside my bathroom door that night.
I thought that sound was just my mind playing a game, since Cadell was never there. But No! It was from Beta Dean! He came into my room to watch me bath!
“Your body… Perfect.”
“You Freak! Per… Pervert!” That word came into my mouth when Cadell’s warning rang in my brain.
He was right about the Beta and Alpha Allen. They are both Perverts!
Beta Dean laughed at me. His voice echoed around the passage, like the place was empty of any living being.
I was already trembling, thinking of a way to escape without him coming after me. That’s when a miracle happened.
“Who’s there?” Queen Chriselda’s voice echoed from her room, startling Beta Dean.
“Who is out there?” Allen’s voice came in as well, adding to the Beta’s fright.
When I saw him turning back to check, quickly, I dashed down the stairs, running for my dear life.
I didn’t bother to see if he was coming or not. I just went ahead without looking back.
I didn’t run to my room or to Derby’s. No, I raced for the main entrance of the mansion and ran out with speed.
I almost tripped on the steps, but got my balance, running pass the guards, who stood guard at the gate.
They had seen me and yelled out, demanding to know where I was heading to.
“Come back here!”
“No Damsel is allowed to leave without the Queen’s order!” They yelled, trying to stop me.
But I didn’t allow them.
My fear had overwhelmed me to the point of no return. I ran faster than the guards, until I was standing in the pack’s square, all alone in the dark night.
Scared and lonely, I thought about home and Mom. Her warnings played in my ears, leaving me in tears again. “Is this why she warned me not to join the hunt? Did she see this coming?” I wondered, shaking in my spot.
Right now, at this moment, the only safe place was my home. “I need to head back to Mom and hide from that monster. But what if she doesn’t let me in after our fight?” I feared, not knowing what to do.
THUD! A sound from behind startled me. I turned around and was forced to the ground by a strong hand, which covered my mouth, stopping me from screaming!
Looking closely, I became petrified!
“You can’t run away from me, Evolet. You are mine now!” Beta Dean grinned with his yellow wolf eyes flashing at me hungrily, reaching for my clothe!
I screamed behind his hand, struggling to push him off. But that made him increase his weight on me, slowly making my body go numb.
Seeing how he dominated me like I was nothing, I felt so weak at heart, crying in pains.
Now my mother’s cruel words struck harder than before. She was right. I am weak and useless.
I… I have no wolf.
I’m a failure.
“Cadell.” His face flashed in my head, with that funny smile of his flooding my memory.
I don’t know why he came to my mind at this moment, but… I wished I never fought with him. I wished I held him back and begged him to stay. I… wish he was here with me.
Accepting my fate in the hands of this beast who ripped my shirt open, ready to devour me, I noticed darkness clouding the vicinity the Beta and I where in.
I thought the rain was going to pour down on us, but it wasn’t the rain.
“Good girl. Just stay that way and… HEY! HEY!!” Beta Dean screamed, feeling himself being lifted off my body with force.
I dragged myself from the ground and found the Beta in the air. Something tall was holding him in that length, right in the darkness that suddenly covered us, causing Beta Dean to freak out.
Seeing the darkness flowing around, one person who was capable of causing this, came to my mind.
“Cadell?” My heart skipped, as I looked back at the Beta and saw something enormous revealing itself to the terrified Beta.
It was a werewolf! A mighty one!
I have never seen anything like it in my life before. This werewolf was huge!
I trembled before this creature, who scared Beta Dean to the core. He made the Beta scared, as he begged for mercy.
The werewolf growled and suddenly slammed the Beta had to the ground, shocking me. I thought that would be all, but he didn’t stop! He repeated this for the second, third, fourth!
I got so scared when I saw Beta Dean’s face bleeding, that I screamed, “Stop!” straight at the werewolf.
And just like that, it listened.
It faced my direction, dropping an unconscious Beta on the floor.
My whole body was quivering from the blood streaming out from the Beta. I looked back at the werewolf, unable to tell if this was Cadell or not.
It was the same darkness, but the eyes weren’t silver. It was completely dark. Pitch black.
But somehow, I felt connected to it. Like I’ve known it all my life.
Trusting my heart, I called, “Cadell?”
And right before my eyes, the werewolf vanished into the darkness, bringing forth my Pervy wolf!
“Cadell!” My face came brightening with smiles, as he stared at me with worry in his eyes.
“Hey, Stalker.” He smiled, slowly opening his arms wide.
Overwhelmed with emotions, I came crying heavily, dashing straight into Cadell’s hold, burying myself right on him.
I felt his strong arms fall around me, as he whispered, “I’m here now. You’re safe.”
I wept, squeezing him close.
He came back.
My Pervy Wolf came back for me.
