EVOLET
“He’s mine, huh? Sounds… tempting,” Cadell smirked, biting down on his lower lip, with his grip tightening around my waist.
Why didn’t I see this coming?!
I only wanted to ruin this big head’s moment with those ladies, but now I’m trapped in my own plan!
“Let… me… go!” I struggled, pressing my hands against his rough and sweaty chest, while groaning out loud.
But not too loud. I don’t want anyone recognizing me as one of the damsels in the Luna’s hunt. It might ruin my chance in the game, if they see me with a man.
I kept pushing and hitting Cadell on the chest, but the perv wouldn’t let go. To him, “This is an opportunity for us, my sweet stalker,” he said, caressing my cheek while I shook my head, trying to prevent his sweaty paws from touching me any further.
“This is a sign from the goddess, Evolet. Quit this hunt and run far away with me. Together, we’ll make the perfect couple. Me, your Perv, and you…” he drew his face closer to mine, “My innocent stalker. Isn’t that a wonderful plan, my sweet…”
“ARR!” I roared, launching my teeth at Cadell’s face for a bite.
“WOW!” he exclaimed, letting me off his hook.
Finally, I was free from his sweaty hold. I swiped my hands across my body to get rid of the irritating feeling engulfing my body.
“Forget the fact that you can’t summon your wolf. You’re a beast on your own!”
“Be Quiet!” I groaned, still sweeping my hand across my body, only to meet Cadell smirking, with his eyes dimming at me like the subvert he was.
I know what he’s thinking in that head of his. “Don’t mistake that peck for affection, Perv. I only did that to spoil your day.”
“Hmm, is that the truth?” he asked, tilting his head while crossing his arms at me.
“What do you mean by that?” I asked, noticing the doubt written all over his face.
Only for Cadell to assume something unimaginable! “Don’t lie to me, Evolet. You weren’t spoiling anything but claiming your right over me.”
“WHAT?!” I gasped out, fuming at this dummy.
He gave me an air smooch, saying, “I read you loud and clear, my spicy stalker. I’m yours alone.”
“BLEH! We are nothing to each other, did you hear me?!” I warned, pointing at Cadell. Still, he wasn’t listening to me!
He chuckled and tried to kiss my finger, but I drew back in disgust, frowning at him.
He grinned at me and said, “That’s an impossible task, Eve. Remember, I’m your wolf. Meaning we’ll be together forever and…” he poked my nose, “Ever. Deal with it.”
“In your dreams, Cadell,” I scowled, tightening my fist at his face.
Looking at his hair, I said, pointing at it, “And yes, I almost forgot. Your disguise sucks!”
He chuckled and said, “This is no disguise. It’s my real hair.”
“Is this a joke? I remember you said white was your real colour. Since when did brown become your colour?” I asked, touching his hair. But he wasn’t wrong. It was indeed his hair!
I would have assumed it was a dye, but it’s not! No single stain on my fingers.
“How… how did you…”
“Do you like it?” he asked, simpering .
The way he stared and winked at me, caused my cheek to flush in an instant. I immediately took my hand off his hair and drew back, clearing my throat.
But that feeling was wiped when I heard a passerby make mention of the time. It was getting late!
“Goodness! I need to head back to the mansion now!” I panicked, ready to leave.
Cadell, who noticed my sudden behaviour, asked, “What happened? Is something wrong?”
I told him about the Queen’s rules and why I was outside in the first place.
“Wait! You didn’t leave the mansion to come and look for me?! That’s unfair.” He frowned, crossing his arms.
What he said reminded me of my encounter with Beta Dean in the morning. With a groan, I punched his shoulder hard.
“Ouch! What’s that for?” He asked, rubbing himself.
“You almost got me into trouble today, you big head! Better return back to the mansion with me, otherwise I’ll kill you! Got that?!” I fixed my fists out, threatening Cadell. But he didn’t seem to care about the threat.
He was enjoying this.
“Maybe if you give me a kiss on the lips this time, I’ll just follow you right way. How about that, your highness?” he winked.
Having no time for his nonsense, I groaned and ran away from that place, heading back to the mansion.
“I better get there quickly and make a good impression of myself to the Queen. If it wasn’t for that pervy muscle head, I’d have arrived at the mansion a long time ago,” I grumbled, racing as fast as my feet could take me.
After what felt like an hour, I arrived outside the gate of the mansion, only to see five other damsels following from behind, cat walking while giggling over something.
“Thank the Goddess that I made it,” I sighed, spotting Fiona and the others standing close to Queen Violet’s statue, talking.
I assumed they just arrived and were gathered for an announcement from the Queen. Even Derby was there, waving directly at me.
But before I could cross the gate, something unexpected happened.
A powerful force pushed me and the other girls back, stopping us from going through the gate!
“What… what is happening?!” I heard one of the girls ask out fearfully, as we all dragged our feet closer, looking back at the others who were now staring at us in confusion.
All of a sudden, a mighty red force field appeared in our front, blocking our path! We all gasped out and the five maidens began to panic.
“What’s going on?! Are we under attack?!” they shrieked, freaking out.
Where I stood in confusion, I spotted Sorceress Thelma and the Queen, walking out of the mansion, with their eyes fixed directly at us.
They looked… scary.
“What’s going on?”
“My Queen! Please there’s a force field in our path!”
“Please help us, Sorceress!” The girls begged, while I gazed back at the duo, who didn’t answer their cries, but stood in front of the others, staring at us.
Looking at them, I realized that the elderly sorceress’s eyes were glowing. This gave me the answer instantly. ” She placed the shield on us. But why?”
Now I was feeling scared just by gazing at the sorceress and the Queen. Something was fishy about their behaviour.
Derby stared at me with worry, while Fiona watched on with a smile across her face. It felt like she knew what was going to happen to us, and that freaked me even more.
Just then, Queen Chriselda said, “If you are going to be staying under the same roof and under my rules, then you need to show your readiness in this hunt!”
“What does she mean?” the girls mumbled, confused over the Queen’s statement.
That’s when Sorceress Thelma said, shocking the six of us. “From now on, you are no longer welcome to the mansion, because you’ve been evicted from this hunt.”
“WHAT?!” We exclaimed at this horrible news from the Sorceress. This can’t be true!
“Evicted? No, this can’t be happening!” I trembled, watching Fiona rejoicing from behind the proud Queen.
But it doesn’t make sense!
Why the eviction?!
