“Lily. She is the connection I have with them. Her ex-boyfriend is a member of the gang.” Tony revealed with a straight face, awaiting Dr Raph’s reply.
A few seconds pass and nothing is heard from him but just as Tony opens his mouth to speak again, Dr Raph finally speaks up.
“What?!” He yells, loud enough for anyone who is outside the office to hear. “What the fuck did you just say?”
“Quiet down, Man. This is an office.” Tony scolded, shaking his head but Dr Raph was not having it. Not when he had just dropped a bomb that could affect him and the entire hospital if not handled properly.
“Don’t fucking tell me to calm down, Tony. Don’t! How the fuck did you get involved with a girl like that?” The words left his mouth before he could caution himself.
Tony immediately shot him a harsh glare and he immediately cleared his throat before rephrasing his sentence.
“Don’t get me wrong, Tony. Lily is a nice and hardworking girl. I have seen that but, she was dating a gang member! Doesn’t that tell you that she might not be as innocent as she seems? What if she has been involved with them in some way?” Dr Raph questioned and suddenly his eyes widened like a light bulb had gone off in his brain.
“What if her family are members of the gang too? Oh, Tony. What have you gotten yourself into?” He panicked, pacing around the office aimlessly.
“What movie did you watch, Raphael?” Tony asked in a bored tone with his brows arched and Raphael paused before turning around with a lopsided grin.
“It’s a movie about the mafia and a girl whose family was involved with the mafia. Crazy movie, my man. You should check it out.” He said and winked at Tony who looked like he would punch Dr Raph if he could.
“Fucking idiot.” Tony shook his head. “Snap out of that dreamland, Raphael. This is real life and none of what you said is happening.” He clarified before going into the details.
“Lily had no idea he belonged to a gang until a year ago and after he found out that she knew, he made it impossible for her to leave. Right now, she wants him gone as much as the entire Paris wants that gang gone.” Tony explained and paused to catch his breath.
“Which is why I will be needing your help.” He added with his lips in a thin line while Dr. Raph stared at him like the highest her lost his mind.
“Not only do I not understand why you would think you can do anything to a gang like the Snakers, but I also don’t know what you want me to do. I am a fucking doctor, Tony, not an assassin.” Dr Raph twisted his face as he spoke.
“Ah!” Tony exclaimed and clicked his fingers. “I was getting there.” He flashed his friend a smirk, one that made Dr Raph roll his eyes.
“I have something the police don’t have. With what I have, finding and arresting the Snakers would be a piece of cake.” Tony revealed with his shoulders puffed.
“What do you have?” Dr Raph asked after a few seconds of trying to convince himself that he wasn’t curious and didn’t care about Tony’s findings on the gang.
He failed woefully, of course.
Smiling to himself, Tony leaned in and whispered. “I know who the leader of the gang is and I have the location of their hideout saved on my phone.” He revealed and Dr Raph’s eyes almost popped out of their sockets.
“What?!” He exclaimed. “This is something the entire country hasn’t been able to figure out yet. How the fuck did you get that information?” Dr Raph asked, his face filled with shock.
“Lily dated a member of the gang, remember? It’s not that hard.” Tony replied for the umpteenth time and Dr Raph held his hands in the air.
“Fine. So, what’s the plan?” Dr Raph asked and Tony finally smiled, happy that his friend was offering his help.
“Here’s what I have in mind.” Tony started in a low tone.

Lily noticed the state of unrest in the hospital and how injured persons were being brought in every minute and she found herself unable to sit. The emergency ward was a few patients from being filled and this had never happened before.
All the patients were being brought in from the same location making her wonder if there was a terrorist attack. What broke her heart the most was that women and children were victims of the shootout and some of them who were brought in, were already dead on arrival.
“What on earth is happening? Where are they all coming from?” She asked one of the nurses in her team who had just been assigned to a ward, her heart racing and her body shaking.
“T…there was a shootout at Raves town. A fucking gang shootout. I have never seen this much damage in my life! We have over a hundred patients, Lily. From the look of things, you will be called in soon to be assigned. We need all the hands we can get. Most of the patients are critical.” The nurse complained, her face filled with worry.
“Oh my God.” Lily sighed and swallowed hard before excusing herself. She immediately rushed into the dressing room and fell to the ground as hot tears began to flow from her eyes.
Lily didn’t need anyone to tell her what gang was responsible for the crime. There was only one gang in Paris that could commit a crime as gruesome as that and get away with it. The reasons for that were clear to her now that she knew the gang leader.
Overwhelmed with regret and guilt, Lily cried her heart out. “If only I had enough time to expose them.” She sniffed.
A few minutes later, she heard a buzz from her phone, and she immediately pulled out her phone only to see that it was a text from an unknown number.
Wondering who could have texted, Lily opened the text, and as soon as she did, she wished she didn’t as fear immediately gripped her as she read the contents of the text.
Unknown Number: [I hope this tells you that killing is nothing to me. If you don’t come back to me, that doctor of yours will be next. I don’t mind killing a hundred people to prove that to you.]
Unknown Number: [You have one week, Lily.]
