REX’S POV
Two days has passed and I couldn’t hide the joy. Rain and I had decided to name the babies Chloe for the girl and Chase for the boy.
Rain was doing well, eating like never before and complain about how much she doesn’t want to get fat. She look perfect and for and I hope she get that as soon as possible.
The warm afternoon added to the bliss, giving Rain the touch grace as she sat in the couch in our room. The babies cot didn’t leave th room either so I could watch them all the time.
I don’t know why, but I have tgks feeling. Like something would happen to them or something.
They were the first of their kinds and I don’t know if I should call them Lycan, werewolf, or hybrid.
Walking to her, I placed a kiss on her lips and told her that I would be back. She didn’t say anything, not when her mouth kept chewing.
I headed to Alaric’s office to see him going through some files.
He seem really busy to notice me standing there.
“Hello” I said to get his attention.
As he raised his head to look at me, he flinched. He obviously doesn’t expect to see me as he took away what he was looking at. He bowed, pointed at a seat
“You are busy” I said.
Alaric didn’t say anything. He just looked at me and looked away.
“The babies” I said.
At the mention of the babies he looked at me. His face had his sorry look and for a moment, I was scared that something would have happened to them till he spoke.
“They are fine. They can grow as werewolf, or Lycan, probably hybrid” Alaric said.
He brought out a different file, similar to the one he was holding before I walked in and opened it. As of he was studying it, he stared at it for a while and looked up at me.
“Their mother’s bite is poisonous” He said looking at me straight in the eyes for the First time sine I came in “We just need to watch out if they get the same from her”
I nodded.
They have so many things to get from her. I just hope they heal fast, I hope they run fast and I hopey boy don’t shift like Klaus.
Klaus.
I haven’t seen him since Rain gave birth, he didn’t even come to day hi to his sister.
My attention moved back to Alaric who lean closer on the table and whispered.
“It’s an honor to serve you, Alpha” he said.
I ignored how stupid that sounded as went out. I was on my way back to see my mate and the kids when I got Hawk’s voice in my head.
“Alpha Kia is here” he said in the mind link.
Accordingly to Hawk, they were both in my office and I wondered what it might be.
Many things came to my mind as I remember the last time Kia came to see my father. It didn’t go well, it took me time to realize that I just had two Babies and he might come to say congratulations.
Getting to the last turn to the office, I got my mate’s voice in my head.
“You said you will be back soon, please get me grapes when coming”
I smiled.
Does she really miss me or she just want me to get her grapes?
Getting to the office, I sniffed four different scenr from the door. Hawk’s, Kia’s, and two others I didn’t know about.
I opened the door with my head high, walked to my seat and sat before looking at Kia.
Silence.
I would not greet him First.
Besides, I never like him more since I knew that he has an hand in the death of my mate’s parents.
“Congratulations, Alpha Rex” kia said.
I nodded.
No expression, I didn’t even let him see that I was pissed at his presense. That expression left my face when I noticed the two people behind him.
I was sure he had mind linked them to bring what they had forward.
It was a box, maybe middle sized and not much bigger than one of my babies.
Pffff. I compare many things to them lately and it’s so funny.
“I got a little offer for you and that of you mate” Alpha Kia said.
He walked to the door, wait for his guards to open it and turned back at me.
“Take you calls next time. So I don’t have to come”
The door banged and I forced myself not to flinch. It was shocking, it was surprising that he would come to my pack to talk to me like this.
I looked up to see Hawk staring at me like he was waiting for order. He doesn’t really like the look of things and I had always know him that he doesn’t hide his thoughts of things.
“Mira told me strange things about Emma” Hawk said.
I raised my brows and looked at the box in front of me.
“She said the witch was seen with Alaric this morning and Klaus have being no where to be found” Hawk growled.
I sensed he had more to say, like he was angry to something.
“Sean said he doesn’t like the way Kia was looking at Emma when he arrived” He continued as he walked close to me and said in the arm chair opposite me “No Alpha leaves their pack to say congratulations”
Fact.
I thought the same.
Trying not to conclude, I opened the box to find a dagger and a note. I brought them both out, tossed the bos aside and looked at Hawk.
“If you want, I can go out” he shrugged.
I rolled my eyes and smiled.
He shouldn’t think like that. I wanted to tell him to ignore me when I phone vibrated in my pocket.
“Calls” I groaned “I don’t even know why I got phones”
Hawk smiled as he relaxed in the chair. His gaze was on the dagger and he looked so suspicious about it as of it would jump and attack him.
I looked at the screen of my phone to see that it was Alpha Kia and I was surprised. He just left, why would he be calling?
“You just left here” I said immediately I took the call.
“So, what’s you decision?” Kia asked in return.
Confused, I looked at Hawk who lean closer as if trying to know what we were talking about.
“The note, which one would you prefer to keep?”
While I left the call still reading, I unfold the note and saw Kia’s message. He wrote a letter when he could just tell me what he wanted to say.
‘Rex, You have two babies.
I know you know Klaus, I have being trying to get him all my life and the stunts you both pulled at my daughter’s coronation proved it. Since your mate is a Lycan and you know how much they are rare…’
I paused reading and looked at Hawk.
“Get the gamma and get guards sent to my quarters to protect my mate at all cost” I ordered.
Immediately Hawk rushed out, I put my head back in the note and continued.
‘killed her parents. You should ask Klaus why he has always being afraid of me. To avoid my wrath, Hand over one of your babies or I will tell everyone that you have three Lycans and have everyone at your back.

What the heck just happened?
Without checking my phone, I stood up and dashed towards my quarters.
I was about to mind link my mate when I heard her nagging voice in my head.
“If you don’t come fast, know you are getting me bananas too” she said .
I sighed in relief.
I was sure she was save.
