RAIN’S POV
“Hi, Luna” Mira said immediately I opened the door for her.
She always have that smile on her face and the cooked groundnuts she promised me. The aroma was nice, just simple and nice.
I locked the door and walked to my bed. The king size bed looked a mess, My clothes everywhere, Rex’s cloths, and some things for my baby.
Normally, I would have put them away but but back and waist hurt. It has been like that before I gave birth and worst after I gave birth.
“You know I would have put all these away, Mira” I said and she just smiled.
She handed me the bag of peanuts, walked to the kids and began to gibberish like they could hear her. She giggled, laugh, and told them that I said I would let her be their godmother.
I never thought about it, I just shook my head, smiled and relax on the bed.
“Can you help me get the water warm?” I asked.
I couldn’t tell her that I have being feeling cold lately. I just felt like I was different since I gave birth hearing when Alaric and Rex were talking about blood when I was in labor, I sighed.
Could it be that I have really turned to a vampire as Rex told me.
“It’s hot, Luna” Mira said as she continued to take the things away “I will make the water lukewarm so you can be better”
I Shurgged.
All I did was break open the case of the groundnut and eat them.
I don’t feel anything, the way it taste in my mouth was what I likes, especially the salty part.
Rex would not let me have fge clay and salt that I had always wanted and Mira brought another suggestion. This lady seem like the sister I have never had and I love her.
“I heard what happened when I was kidnapped” I told her.
She smiled.
For the first ten seconds she didn’t say anything as she walked pass me with my dirty clothes.
“I couldn’t let my Luna be taken like that” Mira said as she walked pass me again.
This time, the room was almost clean. She was actually picking up the last things as she walked to stand in front of me.
“Imagine I never fought for you” she asked with a cheeky smile on her face “Would you have considered making me their godmother?”
I smiled in agreement.
She earned it, I don’t know what she just still choose to work for me when we could stay as friends. Rex had even refused to see us this close because he claims not to trust anyone but I trust her.
“Let me make your water” she said as she walked to the bathroom.
My babies were sleeping and I just stayed on the bed eating the peanut Mira brought for me. After waiting for Rex for almost eternity, I mind linked him.
He didn’t say anything and I was sure that he would make it fast.
I heard a knock at the door and opened it to see Alaric with a calm smile on his face. He looked beside me, Inside and paused.
He might be here to check the babies to I stepped aside and let him in.
“I brought something for you, My Luna” he sais as he gave me a bottle.
I opened it, sniffed it and when the smell wasn’t bad, I gulped it in.
Mira that was in the bathroom, setting the warm water for me to bath came out, looked Alaric in the eyes and said.
“You said you want to bath warm water this hot afternoon, Luna” she then looked at me “I think you should do it now”
I Shurgged.
The way she was looking at Alaric wasn’t good. It was like they both had something they were hiding or something like a big fight between them and before I knew what was happening Mira jumped at him and She shifted mid air.
“Mira?” I panicked.
I rushed to separate them but but head spun. I felt light headed, like I was too heave and light at the same time.
“Mira you need to stop this” I whispered.
I placed my left palm on my head, With My right hand in front, I tried not to fall.
Alaric had already shifted, he was big.
His ash big wolf towered Mira’s Brown one. He was easily overpowering her, not hitting her that but as he seem to just want to hold her down.
The door feel open and I saw Emma.
“Hey,” I managed to say.
I was shaking and trying not to fall. These two fighting have gone too close to my babies and I was freaking out already.
‘Mate! Rex where are you?’ I asked through the mind link.
What was happening? I looked back at Emma who just smiled. Her aura was something I didn’t like, same as that sly frown on her face.
She walked to Mira, said some strange words and touched the Mira that Alaric held down. Her eyes shone green, emerald green and it was nothing to that of any eyes I had seen.
Almost immediately, Mira stopped struggling. She stayed still, causing me to move close so I could see what they have done to her.
“She didn’t take much” Alaric said.
He had shifted to his normal self, naked and sweaty. I looked away from him, trying not to gaze too much but he doesn’t seem to mind.
“Take the babies, I will bring her”
Immediately I heard Alaric said that, I immediately knew that something was wrong.
I looked at him, he was still naked and he had this scary look on his face. He was ready to hurt me, to do anything to me and I wondered how I had drank that stuff from him.
Mira was laying naked as her human form on tye ground and I fear if she was still alive or dead.
“What did you do?” I asked them both.
Emma didn’t say anything. She was already walking to my kids.
“Stay away from them!” I growled.
Stumbling and falling, I tried to get to them but I fell. My heart raced, I felt like I couldn’t breath again.
“That potion locked Rex out, just grab her already or he will meet us!”
I must protect my babies.
Folding my fist in ready for fight, my arms close to my chest and my eyes didn’t leave Emma as she cried my Babies.
My heart dropped in panic as she looked at me dead in the eyes.
“I am sorry Luna, I don’t need you to struggle” Alaric said.
Confused, I looked at him and frown. Before I could get what he was trying to say, he punched me in the face.
