Lisa got into a fight?
Hearing this, Karlee stood up straight in shock. “How could she get into a fight?”
Ten minutes earlier, Darnell returned and sat next to Karlee. While he took liberties with her, he also occasionally gave her game tips, causing Lisa and her friends to lose repeatedly.
After losing three games in a row, Lisa stopped playing and left the room to avoid further frustration.
She took a few of her friends to the restroom.
Karlee knew Lisa was upset with Darnell but didn’t spend much time explaining. Her relationship with Darnell didn’t need external validation, even from her best friend. She let Lisa go out to cool off, never expecting her to get into a fight so soon.
“Where are they?”
Karlee dropped what she was holding, her face turning cold. “Whose fault is it?”
Though she was easygoing within her circle, she was fierce when it came to outsiders, never allowing anyone to trample on her friends.
“It’s the other party’s fault.”
The girl who brought the news pointed outside. “They’re right at the entrance.”
Karlee grabbed a wine bottle and rushed out. Jefferson and the others followed suit, running ahead of Karlee.
Darnell was startled by Karlee’s ferocity. He grabbed two pieces of cantaloupe and followed, then turned back to grab a bag of chips.
He also had a server bring a large bottle of cola.
Judging by the situation, there was likely going to be a fight. What a show it would be, two groups of rich kids clashing. Darnell wouldn’t miss it for the world.
Watching the drama unfold while snacking on fruit and chips, and sipping on cola was truly delightful.
Most importantly, Darnell wanted to see who the young man with the almond eyes and the one-armed man from Mangeria were, who had been secretly meeting with Cierra and others.
When Darnell rushed to the scene of the chaos, he found a crowd had already gathered. On one side stood a group of glamorous women, while on the other were Lisa and her friends.
Amidst the shouting and arguing from both sides, Darnell quickly understood what had happened.
When Lisa went to the restroom, she accidentally stepped on one of the flamboyant women’s feet without apologizing. Later, while washing hands, that woman deliberately splashed water on Lisa’s face without apologizing either and then walked away.
Lisa wasn’t one to tolerate such treatment. She chased after the woman with her friends to demand an apology.
The flamboyant woman escalated things by taking a glass of wine from a companion and splashing it on Lisa’s face. Lisa retaliated with a slap.
That slap turned the conflict irreconcilable.
Holding his cola, Darnell took a bite of cantaloupe. “Fighting over such trivial matters? Ridiculous.”
“Karlee, before any of us go down, don’t act recklessly. Let us handle this.”
As Jefferson, Shawn, and other men held Karlee back to show their masculinity by taking the lead in confronting the flamboyant women.
Eight men stood fiercely before them while the other party also called for backup. The two groups faced off at the entrance.
The flamboyant woman covered her cheek in anger, but seeing Lisa’s larger group made her hold back temporarily.
Shawn pointed at the woman’s nose arrogantly. “State your background. Let’s see if you’re worth bullying.”
Jefferson waved his wine bottle threateningly. “If you weren’t a woman, I’d smash this bottle over your head.”
“Shawn, slap her!”
Lisa’s group cheered fearlessly. They didn’t think anyone would dare challenge them in Whiteville.
Lisa disdainfully glanced at Darnell, who was standing behind Karlee, and scoffed, “Why don’t you go up?”
Not stepping up in such situations was cowardly behavior in her eyes.
Darnell shrugged. “Why should I risk my life for something I didn’t cause?”
Karlee was speechless while Lisa fumed. “Useless.”
Ignoring her, Darnell continued eating chips while scanning the security cameras at the entrance.
Bang!
At that moment, the door of the room opened. Samuel, a young man with a big nose, and four other men walked out.
Though different in build, they all exuded an air of maturity and toughness that far surpassed Shawn’s group of brash youths.
Samuel grabbed the flamboyant woman affectionately and scanned everyone with sharp eyes like knives. “Sandra, who bullied you?”
The flamboyant woman named Sandra pointed directly at Lisa. “That bitch is the most arrogant.”
Then she pointed at Shawn and Jefferson’s group. “These dogs barked loudly too.”
Samuel pulled out a cigarette as Sandra lit it for him. He exhaled smoke slowly. “Don’t worry. I’ll deal with these barking dogs.”
“Who are you calling dogs?”
Shawn’s face changed as he arrogantly eyed Samuel. “Do you know who we are?”
“You four men kneel down and apologize to my woman,” Samuel demanded before turning his gaze to Lisa with a sinister smile. “And you stay tonight to serve my guest well.”
He threatened darkly, “You’d better listen. Otherwise, things will get ten times worse.”
“Are you crazy? Telling me to kneel? I’ll cripple you!”
Before Lisa could react angrily, Shawn charged forward but was met by Big Nose’s swift approach.
“Smack!”
Big Nose slapped Shawn hard across the face before anyone could react. Shawn fell bleeding from his mouth.
The man with a big nose sneered down at him disdainfully. “Who’s getting beaten now?”
Seeing Shawn collapsed on the ground, blood oozing from his nose and mouth, Jefferson and the other seven rushed forward without hesitation.
But before they could act out their rage fully, Jefferson got kicked back by the man with a big nose.
Thump!
Caught off guard, Jefferson was propelled into the crowd, knocking over a few people as chaos began to ensue.
“Let’s take him down together!”
Shawn, gritting his teeth, shouted as he and a group of friends charged at the big-nosed youth, yelling, “Get him!”
Instead of joining the fight, Jefferson turned and raced back to Karlee’s side, grabbing a bottle for protection.
Karlee’s expression turned icy as she prepared to step forward, but Darnell quickly pulled her back and shoved a piece of melon into her mouth. “Have some melon to cool off.”
He wanted to take a sip of cola, but unfortunately, one hand couldn’t manage to twist the cap open.
As Karlee angrily hurled the melon back at Darnell, Shawn and his friends were swiftly overpowered and sent tumbling to the ground.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The big-nosed youth unleashed a flurry of punches and kicks, striking with incredible speed and knocking down four of Shawn’s crew in an instant. Then, with a spectacular spinning kick, he sent Shawn flying, who had almost succeeded in sneaking up from behind.
The force of that kick left Shawn pale as he was sent three meters back, crashing to the ground and vomiting a mouthful of alcohol, unable to even let out a scream.
The remaining wealthy young men were stunned, their eyes wide with fear. The big-nosed man seemed nearly invincible.
Seeing no one daring to approach, the big-nosed man smirked disdainfully and turned to Samuel. “Mr. Stewart, should I break their arms and legs?”
Samuel didn’t respond, his gaze fixated on Lisa, a sinister smile creeping across his face again. “Aren’t you coming over yet?”
