The room was brightly lit.
In the nearly 300-square-meter hall, three groups of people gathered, each looking quite formidable. One group was led by Cierra from the Swain family, another by a young man with almond-shaped eyes, and the third by sturdy men from Mangeria.
Cierra sat in the middle, elegantly making tea with practiced movements.
She wore a silk short-sleeved dress today, which barely covered a third of her thighs, leaving her smooth, fair, and sexy legs exposed.
The lighting made her look very alluring, causing several men from Mangeria standing on either side to swallow hard.
“Mr. Gomez, Mr. Stewart, please have some tea.” Cierra ignored the men’s gazes and poured three cups of tea, pushing one each to a one-armed Mangerian man and the young man with almond-shaped eyes. “This tea is not bitter or astringent, with a hint of sweetness. It tastes great and helps with your mood.”
“It calms the mind. Please try it.”
The young man with almond-shaped eyes took a sip and smiled lightly. “Good tea, good tea. But Cierra’s skill is even better.”
He gave a thumbs up in praise. “This is the best tea I’ve had this year.”
“Cierra, Mr. Stewart, I’m a rough man. I’m good at fighting and killing, identifying heroin, and playing with women, but not at tasting tea.” The one-armed Mangerian man was about 1. 8 meters tall with scars on his face that made him look fierce and terrifying.
He leered at Cierra with a lustful gaze and exhaled hot breath through his nose but quickly suppressed his desire. He gulped down the tea in one go.
Then he chuckled roughly, “Such fine tea is far too extravagant for someone like me.”
“If Mr. Gomez likes it, it’s an honor for the tea.”
Cierra smiled charmingly and refilled his cup. “Besides, you came from afar. Your presence is enough.”
She gestured to an aide who placed a room key card in front of the Mangerian man named Mr. Gomez. “This is the key to a guest room upstairs. Inside are gifts from me to you.”
“A case of twenty-year-old vodka, a commemorative classic revolver, and four virgins.”
Cierra’s smile was playful. “I think you’ll like them.”
“Cierra, you’re truly amazing. You know all my interests so well.”
“No wonder you’re Mr. Swain’s right-hand woman. Alright, I’ll accept your gifts.”
Houston Gomez downed his tea in one gulp again. “But let’s not chat idly tonight. It’s rare for our three to meet. Let’s discuss some business first.”
Houston straightened up slightly, looking very firm and upright. “That 500 grams of heroin was my brother’s birthday gift to Samson.”
“But I didn’t expect Samson to die at Genesis House before he could enjoy it, and the 500 grams ended up with Mr. Swain for some reason.”
“Here, I can clarify two points. First, that bag of heroin was sent by my brother to Samson.”
He looked intently at Cierra and added, “Second, we never gave Mr. Swain any heroin.”
“So the Swain family must not misunderstand our intentions towards Mr. Swain or think we provided him with heroin. That was a gift for Samson. Mr. Stewart can testify to this.”
“Mr. Gomez is right,” said the young man with almond-shaped eyes as he held his teacup with a smile. “For Samson’s birthday, Mr. Billionaire sent him a gift box which made him happy all night long. Samson had only two hobbies.”
“One was ice cream. The other was heroin. Naturally, Mr. Billionaire’s gift to Samson wasn’t ice cream, so it must have been heroin.”
“Mr. Gomez, Mr. Stewart, have some tea.” Cierra smiled as she refilled their cups again. “We’ve mostly figured out the matter of the heroin. It indeed belonged to Samson.”
“The police found similar powder at the warehouse scene too. It appeared in Mr. Swain’s possession only because someone framed him.”
“The Swain family understands this well. We don’t blame Mr. Gomez or the Axe for this but rather detest those who set us up.”
Cierra smiled enchantingly, “Although Mr. Swain fainted and didn’t know what happened, he recalled hearing movement at the window before being struck on the head by someone sneaking up on him.”
“When Mr. Swain finally woke up, he realized he had been in the police station, facing accusations of drug possession. The person who set him up is incredibly arrogant.”
Cierra’s smile remained captivating. “But no worries. We’ll get Mr. Swain out soon enough and then find out who’s behind this.”
The young man with almond-shaped eyes smiled faintly. “To thank the Swain family for their trust in us, our boss has promised that if you need manpower from the Axe anytime soon, just say so.”
His eyes suddenly turned cold. “We also want to catch Cesar’s gang for revenge over our two hundred fallen brothers.”
The Axe had already learned details about Genesis House through their police connections and determined that someone had turned against them.
Unfortunately, despite deploying many people, they hadn’t found Cesar and his group yet. Otherwise, they could’ve avenged themselves sooner.
Cierra smiled gracefully. “Thank you, Mr. Stewart, and thanks also to your boss. We’ll surely work well together.”
However, she scoffed inwardly, “Taking so much money from us, you better get things done!”
“It would certainly be a good thing if Mr. Swain could be released,” Houston said lightly. “But our boss still sits in detention because of those 500 grams of heroin. He’s now considered a suspect.”
“You both are old friends of our boss, you should help us think of ways to get him out sooner.”
“Our boss’s only suspected now, not yet closely watched by police, so there’s still room for maneuvering, but if they discover his true identity, he might never get out.”
Houston stood up and said, “Please help us.”
Samuel Stewart laughed heartily, “Mr. Gomez, don’t worry. Mr. Billingsley is not only an honored guest of the Axe but also a friend of ours.”
“Our boss has assured us that we will get Mr. Billingsley out safely.” Although the Axe usually only took action when there was a clear benefit, this time, they couldn’t ignore the situation because Elon was imprisoned due to his connection with Samson’s drug activities. Otherwise, their gang would struggle to find any future opportunities in the drug trade. After all, Elon was a key player in both the Golden Triangle and the Silver Triangle.
Cierra softly added, “Mr. Swain also sent word from the hospital, assuring that no harm would come upon your boss while he’s still an ally.”
“If legitimate means fail, we’ll spend money and leverage connections, but if authorities insist on holding him accountable, the Swain family will fight back and even resort to jailbreak if necessary to ensure his safe exit from Whiteville.”
Houston smiled broadly. “Thank you!”
“No need for thanks, Mr. Gomez,” Cierra replied, softly smiling. “We are allies.”
Bang!
Just then, a loud crash echoed from the door, followed by a heated argument that immediately drew the attention of the three of them to the surveillance screen above.
They saw two groups of women arguing at the entrance of their room. Samuel quickly recognized that one of the women was his female companion.
The other group was unfamiliar to him, but judging by their outfits, it was clear they weren’t just ordinary people. The leader of the group was tall and strikingly beautiful, exuding an air of superiority.
In the midst of the shouting, the tall girl suddenly slapped Samuel’s female companion across the face, leaving a clear handprint on her cheek.
As Cierra felt a flicker of recognition, Houston’s eyes gleamed like a wolf’s. “This woman is really something.”
Samuel drained his cup of tea, a cold, ruthless glint flashing in his eyes. “I didn’t expect this little girl to have the guts to hit my woman.”
“Mr. Gomez, didn’t you say she was impressive? Tonight, I’ll make sure you get a special gift.”
At that moment, a timid girl rushed into the private room, panic etched across her face as she shouted at Karlee and Darnell, who were engrossed in their game on the couch, “Karlee, it’s bad! Lisa is fighting with someone!”
