“Now you see, Ulric has always liked Rosalind, not Sirena!”
Johnny was speechless after being retorted by her. He could only cross his arms and look at her, listening to her ranting before softly asking, “Are you still going out to buy beer or not?”
“Let’s go!”
Tilda was a straightforward person.
Regardless of whether she was happy or not, she must express what was on her mind and always wore her feelings on her face.
Johnny was still recovering from a major injury, and his legs weren’t quite up to speed, so Tilda took the wheel.
She didn’t usually drive, especially luxury cars. It took her a while to figure out how to start the car.
At the supermarket, Tilda pushed the shopping cart and bought more than ten bottles of beer. She didn’t know which one was good, so she was going to taste each one.
Johnny looked at her and pointed at those bottles, saying, “If you drink so much, you won’t be able to get up tomorrow.”
“It’s okay. I don’t have to worry about Rosalind anymore. Ulric will take care of her.” Tilda picked up a can of beer and looked at it back and forth but couldn’t find any familiar words. “Hey, do you want to drink?”
Johnny’s mouth twitched involuntarily.
“My injury hasn’t healed yet!” Did this woman only care about Rosalind’s life and death? Didn’t she care about anyone else?
Tilda paused for a moment, then awkwardly smiled, “Sorry, sorry, I forgot you were a patient! But I thought you wouldn’t feel any pain since it was the wound given by the woman you love the most. You should accept it with a smile, right?”
“Can you stop mentioning this? I’m really fed up!”
Tilda shrugged and patted his shoulder with her hand. “I’m just kindly reminding you. Be more discerning in the future! Don’t draw conclusions without understanding the whole situation.”
Fine!
She clearly was getting back at him!
Johnny chose to keep quiet!
If he couldn’t argue with her, he’d just shut up.
After buying everything, Tilda drove back to the hotel. She looked up at the hotel, asking, “Don’t tell me this hotel is owned by the Walters family…”
Johnny carried his things and followed behind her. “Don’t you know?”
“This is just a small asset that the Walters family probably wouldn’t even care about.”
Tilda stared at the building in front of her absentmindedly. Johnny thought she was envious, but in reality, she was thinking…
If Rosalind wanted to bring down the Walters family, the road ahead would undoubtedly be fraught with challenges and obstacles!
The Walters family wielded significant power. Without Ulric’s protection, Rosalind might disappear from this world before she got justice.
…
Rosalind had never been so tired!
She thought that when this man was injured, he would know how to restrain himself, but…
She underestimated him!
He had more tricks and demands than when he wasn’t injured.
Rosalind was so exhausted that she didn’t even take a shower afterwards. She fell asleep directly.
The next morning, she was jolted awake from her dreams by a knock on the door from Dr. Stewart.
“Who is it?”
“Sorry for disturbing your rest. I’m here to change Mr. Walters’ bandages.”
Rosalind quickly turned over and got out of bed. Ulric held her wrist and said warmly, “No need to rush. Be careful.”
“It’s all your fault!” Rosalind glared at him, got off the bed, and opened the window to let some fresh air into the room.
She went over to open the door, and there stood Dr. Stewart in her white coat.
Upon seeing Rosalind’s bleary eyes and evident fatigue, she paused for a moment, then asked with a hint of curiosity, “What happened last night?”
