“…” Rosalind was so angry she spoke without thinking, “You were the one who told me not to call you Mr. Walters!”
This played right into Ulric’s hands.
“What was our relationship then, and what is it now?”

Ulric sat there with a businesslike demeanor, as if she, Rosalind, was the one being unreasonable!
“Miss Ruell, we are discussing work. If you have personal matters to discuss with me, I can wait until after work.”
“I have no personal matters to discuss with you!” Rosalind glared at him, gritting her teeth. “Since the decision has already been made, the HR department could have informed me directly. Why did you have to call me to the president’s office? This will cause misunderstandings, Mr. Walters.”
She emphasized the last two words heavily.
Ulric wasn’t angry; he just smiled slightly. “Misunderstand what?”
Seeing him play dumb, Rosalind decided to be blunt. “Misunderstand that you have a crush on me, Mr. Walters!”

“We’re not close… There’s no point in mentioning it in front of him; it would only embarrass me,” Rosalind tried hard to distance herself from Ulric.
Fortunately, it seemed Mr. Wong hadn’t thought otherwise yet.
“Why so modest? Mr. Walters came specifically for you in the waiting room; it shows he values you! Miss Ruell, don’t blame me for not reminding you-use this special relationship wisely! Mr. Wong thought that since Lion had taken an interest in her and she didn’t seize the opportunity because she kept saying she was married, now that Ulric was her classmate, she shouldn’t waste this connection!
