Rosalind met his gaze, firm and serious.
“Yes.”
Malcolm suddenly laughed, taking a few steps back with a sorrowful smile. “Alright, alright… as you wish, I’ll go on a date.”

After finishing a day’s work, Ulric declined overtime and drove back to Easthaven Bay.
On the way, he made a special stop at the supermarket to buy vegetables and fruits before heading home.
Parking the car downstairs, Ulric got out and looked up at the lit living room window, his thin lips curling into a smile.
Having a little one waiting for him at home every day felt quite nice.
He now pushed off any work he could and even brought work home if it couldn’t be delayed, just to spend more time with the little one.
Unlocking the door, Ulric saw the small figure on the sofa engrossed in his computer.
Jake no longer avoided anyone and openly fiddled with Ulric’s computer. Unfortunately, he still hadn’t managed to crack it.
“What do you want for dinner? I’ll make it for you.”
Hearing Ulric’s voice, Jake put down the computer and shuffled to the door in his slippers, blinking his big eyes.
“I’m fine with anything! Did you go to the hospital today? Is Uncle Chow better?”
Talking about Johnny, Ulric sighed, put down the groceries, and picked up his son.
“Uncle Chow is still asleep. Once the doctor I found arrives, he’ll be better!”
“Is he very sick?”
“You could say that,” Ulric didn’t want to hide anything from Jake. He believed in being honest with his son to build a good relationship. Even when using little tricks on Jake, he never lied to him.
Jake tilted his head with a sad face. “Can I go to the hospital to see him? Uncle Chow has been very good to me. I miss him.”
“Sure, I’ll take you tomorrow!” Ulric felt gratified that his son wanted to visit Johnny in the hospital. It showed that Jake was affectionate and loyal.
After settling Jake in, Ulric went to the kitchen to cook.
No one would have guessed that someone who commanded such authority at W Group during the day would tie on an apron and pick up a spatula in the kitchen at night.
Soon, a sumptuous meal was laid out in the dining room.
Jake climbed onto his chair with the computer in hand, his face full of displeasure.
Ulric placed a bowl of rice in front of him and smiled. “Any progress on hacking my computer?”
Mentioning it only made Jake more upset!
“You deliberately made the program so complicated! Just to make fun of me?”
Ulric shrugged and sat down opposite him. “I told you from the start; it was you who boasted that you could crack it.”
“I can! I will find your weakness!”
“My weakness…” Ulric thought for a moment, and an image of a serene and delicate face flashed in his mind, refusing to leave. “I do have one.”
Hearing him admit he had a weakness, Jake immediately leaned forward.
“What weakness? Give me a hint!”
“My weakness is… a person.”
This answer was too profound; Jake frowned deeply as he thought about it. “A person? Are you afraid of being alone? Afraid of being home alone?”
“Not that kind of person!” Ulric said helplessly. “It’s someone named Rosalind.”
“Cough cough cough-“
