Chapter 750: This Woman Will Ruin You Sooner or Later

Book:Married The Day We Met Published:2025-2-7

Owen was ruthless, sending out only the best of the best. Even as skilled as Jaquan was, he couldn’t fight ten men at once.
Fists met flesh, and even Callie got splattered with blood. Jaquan’s muscles bulged, his eyes were bloodshot, and he was injured. After barely fending off one wave, another surged forward, giving him no chance to catch his breath.
“Hand me over, and you might survive!” Callie shouted.
“If I hand you over, you won’t survive!”
At that moment, a thick stick struck Jaquan’s back unexpectedly. There was a sudden crack, and it was unclear if it was his bones or the stick breaking. He groaned, one knee hitting the ground, and blood spilled from his mouth.
Callie’s heart pounded in fear. She couldn’t hold back any longer and pulled out a black gun from her waistband. With a swift motion, she loaded it and fired at the leg of the attacker.
Bang!
“Attacking from behind, you’re so tricky!”
On the other side, Sullivan was shocked. “That girl has a gun!”
Owen raised an eyebrow. “Interesting.”
In reality, Callie’s hands started to tremble violently after she fired. She had never shot a gun before; this was her first time, and she hit her target…
Owen shouted, “Jaquan, I told you this woman would ruin you sooner or later. Now that she’s broken the rules, don’t blame me for being ruthless!”
With that, the bodyguards all drew their guns and aimed at the two surrounded individuals.
Jaquan struggled to stand, shielding Callie behind him. He grabbed her hand and forced her to lower the gun.
The bodyguards hesitated, unsure if they should shoot.
“What are you waiting for? Fire that shot, and Owen will ensure your wealth and glory,” Jaquan wiped the blood from his mouth.
“Jaquan…” They exchanged glances and then tacitly put away their guns, opting to resolve the matter with their fists again.
Jaquan continued to fight back with all his might. After several rounds, he finally collapsed from exhaustion, one leg kneeling on the ground as he was surrounded by the remaining men.
Owen finally raised his hand, signaling them to stop.
Callie rushed forward to protect Jaquan. “Are you okay?”
Owen stepped forward, looking down at them. Jaquan’s body half-lay in Callie’s arms as he gasped, “Owen, can you let her go?”
Owen bent down and forcibly took the black gun from Callie’s hand. He weighed it in his hand. “This gun has a long range and low recoil, suitable for a woman. Judging by the model, Nelson from Ylosea gave it to you, right?”
Callie trembled under the rain, glaring at him without speaking.
As Owen toyed with the gun, she noticed a faint scar on his wrist.
That was something that couldn’t be faked.
“You’re smart enough to know that as long as you have Jaquan, I can’t touch you,” Owen sneered and turned to Jaquan. “Jaquan, I told you before, she would ruin you sooner or later.”
Jaquan clutched his bleeding wound. “… She’s Nelson’s wife. If something happens to her, it will cause a lot of trouble.”
This seemed to hit a nerve with Owen. His face darkened as he pocketed the gun and ordered, “Take them to South Bridge.”
Several bodyguards immediately stepped forward to carry Jaquan away.
Callie was escorted behind them, following their car back.
The blood on the ground gradually washed away in the rain.
