But Sienna was still outside, and he couldn’t do that.
Isaac abruptly shook off Callie’s hand and strode out of the temple.
Callie felt a cold sweat on her back. The wind made her shiver. She paused for a moment and continued sending messages to Regan: “Please call me back if you see this.”
There was no response, like a stone sinking into the sea.
If Regan hadn’t encountered Isaac, she should be safe. But where was she now?
Callie clutched her phone, thinking of someone, but quickly shook her head. She walked a distance before stopping and resignedly sent a message to Jamir.
When Tobias introduced her to a psychologist, he had given her Jamir’s contact information.
Later, when she found out it was Jamir, she decisively blocked him. Now, she had no choice but to unblock him.
“I’m sorry to bother you. I can’t reach Regan. If you have any information about her, please reply.”
She sent the message but received no immediate response.
Callie didn’t have high expectations.
It was afternoon. At the same time in Ylosea, it was raining continuously.
In a minimalist and elegant apartment, a man sat in a bathtub, admiring the rain outside.
The air was filled with the refreshing scent of pinewood, which was very pleasant.
A woman in a bathrobe brought him some fruit. “You seem to have a preference for pinewood.”
For months, every time she interacted with him, he would light pinewood incense.
The mirror reflected the woman’s face-it was Regan, who had disappeared.
The man looked up, scrutinizing her seriously. His thin lips curved slightly in mockery. “Why did you follow me to Anbusea?”
“I’m out of medicine. I came to get more,” Regan replied softly.
She had met many men, but none of them, not even Isaac, could make her lose her temper. Only Jamir made her feel fear.
This feeling of fear fascinated her…
After Jamir left Ylosea, Regan was always restless and only felt at ease when she saw him.
“Take the prescription I gave you to the hospital; you can get the medicine there.”
“That’s not what I meant.” Regan bent down, her face showing a pitiful allure. “Dr. Quinn, I think you are my medicine.”
Jamir’s gaze remained unchanged. After a moment, he almost laughed and caressed her charming face. “What a joke.”
Regan became anxious. “I’m serious.”
Because she leaned too close, revealing a tantalizing cleavage that would make any man’s heart race.
Jamir remained unmoved. He pushed Regan away. “Our doctor-patient relationship is over. I’m not Dr. Quinn anymore.”
“But I heard you were only a psychiatrist for me,” Regan quickly responded. “As a top student, you were supposed to take over your family business from the start. So why did you come to Ylosea and become my psychologist for a few months?”
Jamir covered his mouth to hide his smile. It seemed women always thought they were special.
“What do you think?”
“It wasn’t for me,” Regan admitted. “But I hope I can become yours.”
She was too bold. Jamir glanced at her and suddenly reached out, pulling her into the bathtub, causing a huge splash.
He gripped her wet neck forcefully. “You really don’t know your limits.”
Regan didn’t struggle, trying to become his captive.
“You acted too rashly, Regan,” he whispered in her ear. “You shouldn’t have run from Ylosea.”
“You made her worry-damn it!”
