Callie couldn’t stand him speaking in that tone and instinctively turned her head away.
“How long have you known Jamir?” he suddenly asked.
“He…” Callie felt extremely embarrassed under his gaze and couldn’t bring herself to speak.
“What is it?” Nelson insisted she say it out loud.
“He was my first love.”
As soon as the words “first love” came out, the atmosphere around Nelson instantly grew heavy. Resentment and jealousy quickly fermented, making it hard to breathe.
“That senior-” he drawled, “Did he come back just for you?”
Callie was forced to look up, her eyes glistening. “No, I don’t know why he suddenly came back. Nelson, you can’t treat me like this.”
Her top was pulled down, exposing a large part of her chest in front of the mirror. If someone from the opposite building came out, they would see everything.
Nelson didn’t ease his grip, half mocking, “Quite charming, aren’t you?”
Callie endured the humiliation and couldn’t help but retort, “And what about you? I was only away for a few days, and there was a woman in your bed. What does that mean?”
They were like wounded animals, attacking each other’s most vulnerable spots.
Callie regretted her words immediately, biting her lower lip in grievance.
“Haven’t you seen the video? Still jealous?” Hearing this, Nelson pinched her chin. “You just sided with your ex-boyfriend in front of the media.”
It seemed like they had to determine who was right and who was wrong.
“I told you I didn’t do it on purpose,” Callie’s voice grew softer.
“Heartless.” Nelson lowered his head to her neck, leaving kiss marks. He whispered, “Do you still like him?”
He was determined to get an answer today. Callie was nearly exhausted. “It’s been four years. What is it so good about him to make me still like him? He’s not money.”
This answer made Nelson chuckle, dissipating much of his anger. He tightened his hold on Callie, his grip firm. “Mine.”
He kissed her while his actions grew bolder.
Callie struggled, pushing hard. “You smell like smoke; I don’t like it…”
Nelson finally realized he had broken his smoking habit long ago. His anger had gotten the better of him earlier.
“Then tell me, do you love me or him?” His voice was low and magnetic.
Callie was forced to tilt her head back from his kisses. “Nelson, are you a child?”
“Why won’t you answer?”
“Of course it’s you.” Callie sighed softly. “Nelson, Jamir and I are over.”
“He doesn’t seem to think it’s over, parading around with a scarf.” Nelson sneered. “You really like knitting scarves, don’t you?”
Callie could barely hold on as his hand moved downward. She quickly said, “I won’t knit anymore, never again…”
Nelson showed no sign of retreating.
Seeing people walk out of the conference room in the opposite building, Callie burrowed into Nelson’s arms. “Take me inside.”
He didn’t move.
She panicked. “Nelson!”
“Let’s do it right here.”
This man!
Callie was so anxious that tears welled up in her eyes. “I’m getting angry!”
Her hair was messy, some strands sticking to her face. Her neck was covered in visible hickeys, a testament to Nelson’s possessiveness.
If someone saw her like this, it would be over.
Nelson remained unhurried and didn’t let go of her.
Desperate, Callie suddenly bit his shoulder. Nelson winced in pain as all his rationality returned. He finally realized what he had been doing.
