Chapter 514: Leah’s Fury

Book:Back To Thrones Published:2025-2-7

Kayden’s words left Leah in shock. She knew he was great at fighting-strong enough to take down Dominic in a few moves-but killing someone? That was hard to believe.
Killing was illegal, after all. And the person in question was a professor.
Leah wanted to say something, but when she looked up at Kayden’s back, her heart softened. She stayed silent.
Kayden was so domineering, so protective. If only he wasn’t her brother-in-law-how perfect that would have been.
Soon, Kayden brought Leah to the teacher’s office.
When they arrived, the office was empty. The teacher must have gone out for lunch.
“He’s probably not here,” Leah said, glancing at Kayden.
Kayden replied calmly, “No problem. Let’s check the principal’s office first.”
“Huh?” Leah looked up, confused. “Why would we go to her office?”
“To cause trouble, of course. What else would I do?” Kayden responded bluntly. He was certain the principal was involved in this mess-most likely in league with the teacher.
After hearing Leah’s account of the situation, Kayden had already formed this suspicion. Others might be fooled by the teacher’s good reputation, but not Kayden.
Without the principal turning a blind eye, how could this teacher dare to threaten female students?
It was obvious. Calling a student into the office for such vile acts showed a level of audacity that could only come from having someone covering for him. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have the guts to do it.
From his actions, Kayden deduced that this scumbag must have harmed more than one girl at the school. He had to have done it many times before to be this bold. And so, Kayden decided to take matters into his own hands.
The three of them soon arrived at the door to the principal’s office.
Before they even entered, they heard voices from inside.
“Principal, are you missing me? Calling me to your office out of the blue today,” said a man, his tone heavy with sleazy charm.
“Mr. Edd, have you been having too much fun lately? It’s been a while since you’ve come to see me,” replied a woman in a flirtatious, sultry voice.
“Ah, take it easy, will you? You’re so rough every time. How do you expect my old bones to handle it?” the woman continued, her voice coy and teasing. “Honestly, if I didn’t call you myself, would you ever come to see me? I know men like you-always chasing after the young ones.”
“Not at all! You’re my one and only, Principal. You’re the one I love most. Those other women are just for fun. You’re the one who truly satisfies me,” the man said smoothly.
“You sweet talker,” the woman said, giggling. “Slow down. I actually have something serious to discuss with you.”
Listening to their disgusting conversation, Leah and the other girl felt their entire worldview shatter.
The principal-a woman in her mid-forties-was involved with Mr. Edd?
To give credit where it was due, the principal was still attractive for her age. Despite being nearly fifty, she maintained her appearance well. She often wore short pencil skirts and fitted blazers to work, paired with her hair tied neatly back and a pair of icy, professional glasses. She came across as stern and traditional.
But now?
Now it was clear she had a completely different side to her.
Leah and the girl were dumbstruck. This kind of scene only happened in movies or novels, right? How could it be real?
Their entire perception had been flipped upside down.
Kayden, however, didn’t make a move. He continued to listen to the nauseating exchange inside.
The principal spoke again. “By the way, Mr. Edd, you need to be more careful. There’s a girl making quite a fuss lately. She’s been telling others about what you’ve done. If it weren’t for your good standing among the other teachers, you’d already be in trouble. You can’t afford to take any more risks like that.”
The teacher replied dismissively, “I know, you mean Leah, right? She’ll be mine eventually. Don’t worry, she won’t stir up any real trouble. She’ll calm down soon enough.”
“Mr. Edd, you really need to restrain yourself. A lot of teachers are starting to get suspicious. Even if they say they don’t believe it, they can’t ignore the rumors. You’d better lay low for a while. If you cause a scandal, it’ll be me who gets dragged down with you.”
“I get it. Fine. For now, I’ll focus only on you. Happy?”
“You’re so annoying!”
“But I still want that girl. She’ll be the last one, I promise. After Leah, I won’t go after anyone else. At least for a year-I swear.”
At those words, Kayden took a deep breath. The anger boiling inside him finally burst.
Without hesitation, he raised his foot and kicked the office door open.
The force of his kick sent the door crashing down, startling the two people inside.
They turned their heads in unison, shocked to see several people standing in the doorway.
Thankfully, the pair hadn’t started anything too explicit yet. They had only been flirting.
Seeing the intruders, they quickly separated, their faces turning pale.
The teacher was a handsome man in his late twenties, with naturally wavy hair and a tall frame-about six feet tall. The principal, on the other hand, was alluring and mature, a woman who exuded charm despite being in her forties.
“W-what are you doing here?” the principal stammered, panic written all over her face.
She didn’t recognize Kayden, but she knew Leah. And Leah’s expression made it clear that she had brought people here to confront them.
Kayden stepped forward casually, his tone calm and unhurried. “Relax. Why are you so nervous? Go on, continue. We heard everything already.”
“Who are you?” the principal demanded, glaring at Kayden before turning to Leah. “Leah, who is this?”
Leah stared at the principal in disbelief, shaking her head in despair. “I never thought you two were in this together. Principal, you’re shameless!”
“Do you have any idea what you’ve done? You’ve driven Amy into depression! You’re the most despicable woman I’ve ever met-completely devoid of morals!”
It was the first time Leah had ever insulted a teacher, let alone the principal.
And it felt amazing.
