Chapter 417: You’re Very Pretty!

Book:Back To Thrones Published:2025-2-7

Each word Kayden Scott spoke hit Owen Thomas like a bullet, piercing through his heart.
He felt like it was over-completely done for.
Owen Thomas had come here with plans to get revenge on Felicity, but he never imagined this guy was so ruthless. Now, Kayden Scott not only wanted to ruin him, but he was also going to take his life.
“No, no, no, please! Don’t kill me! I… I’m not a human! I’m not a human!”
He slapped his own face repeatedly, tears streaming down. After a few slaps, blood started dripping from his mouth, and his face turned red and swollen.
“Please, I beg you, don’t kill me! Please, don’t kill me!” As he spoke, Owen Thomas banged his head against the ground, creating a loud thudding sound. The floor shook with each impact.
His forehead bled, but he didn’t stop. He kept banging his head, desperate, begging for his life.
Death was a terrifying threat. For someone like Owen Thomas, who feared for his life above all else, it was even worse.
“It’s okay. It’s just death. It’ll be over quickly,” Kayden Scott said coldly, exuding an aura of murder as he slowly advanced toward Owen Thomas.
Owen Thomas looked at Kayden Scott and felt a wave of death creeping up on him.
This was it. He was really going to die.
But just as it seemed inevitable, a woman’s voice rang out: “No!”
As the voice reached his ears, Felicity dashed toward them, running quickly.
She grabbed Kayden Scott’s hand and looked into his eyes, shaking her head. “No, no, don’t kill him!”
Kayden Scott frowned and asked, “He killed your father. You don’t want him to die?”
Felicity nodded. “I do want him to die, but even if he dies, my father can’t come back to life. And if you kill him, you’ll end up in prison. It’s not worth it for someone like him.”
Owen Thomas quickly chimed in, “Yeah, yeah, it’s not worth it! If you kill me, you’ll face consequences. You’ll be punished!”
Felicity glanced at the bank card in her hand, then looked at Kayden Scott and said, “I’ve got the money now. The task is complete. Let’s go.”
She pulled on Kayden Scott’s hand, her heart pounding as they walked toward the door. Kayden Scott had been so brutal-he was really going to kill someone.
Just as they reached the door, both Bruno and Owen Thomas let out a relieved sigh.
Especially Owen Thomas, who was thinking to himself that he had just narrowly escaped death. As soon as they stepped out that door, he’d be safe.
But just as he thought this…
Kayden Scott suddenly lifted his foot and stomped down hard.
With a single stomp, he sent a machete on the floor flying into the air!
It was a show of his immense strength-he had kicked it precisely, sending only the machete into the air, and not the other weapons on the ground.
The sight was almost surreal, the blade hanging in mid-air as if suspended by magic.
Then, with another stomp, he kicked the hilt of the machete. The blade shot forward like it had a mind of its own, heading straight toward Owen Thomas.
Owen Thomas, still rejoicing over his survival, didn’t see the attack coming. In a flash, the flying blade cut through the air.
“Whoosh!” The blade sliced through his arm, severing it cleanly.
Blood sprayed out in a fountain, and a piercing scream echoed through the room.
Owen Thomas screamed in agony, clutching the stump of his arm as he fell to the ground.
The pain was unbearable–excruciating beyond words.
Seeing this, Bruno choked on his saliva, his face frozen in shock.
Brutal!
It was pure brutality!
Kayden Scott’s movement was so swift, so effortless, that it looked almost otherworldly. A simple kick had taken off Owen Thomas’s arm. If he had wanted to kill him, a slight adjustment would have ended Owen Thomas’s life in an instant.
Bruno wiped the sweat from his forehead, his body tense. He was lucky. He was really lucky.
As he watched Owen Thomas continue to scream on the floor, his thoughts were mixed with fear and relief.
At least he wasn’t one of the many people who had been taken down.
The lesson was clear-know when to bow out.
He needed to call his boss, Walter Peters, right away. Kayden Scott was too strange, maybe his boss knew something about him.
Having exited the building, Felicity heard the ear-piercing scream and froze for a moment. She wanted to turn around and look, but Kayden Scott held her hand firmly and said, “Let’s go. There’s nothing to see.”
“But I heard a scream. Didn’t you hear it?” Felicity asked, confused.
What she didn’t know was that Kayden Scott had already severed Owen Thomas’s arm with one swift, precise motion, without even looking at the blade.
Kayden Scott chuckled coldly. “Forget about him. He’s escaped with his life. But that doesn’t mean he’ll live happily.”
Felicity still didn’t understand, but she nodded, walking quickly with him.
As they left the Black Tortoise Hall, Felicity instinctively checked the bank card in her hand, almost as if she were afraid it might slip out of her grasp.
After staring at the card for a while, she suddenly pulled her hand from Kayden Scott’s and knelt down in front of him, looking at him with serious eyes.
Kayden Scott immediately stopped her, grabbing her arms. “What are you doing?”
Felicity looked up at him, her face filled with gratitude. “Thank you! Thank you for helping me get the debt back! I honestly thought I’d never get that money. I don’t know how to repay you, so I can only kneel.”
She paused for a moment before adding, “This money is for my mother’s medical treatment. I truly thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
Kayden Scott shook his head slightly. “No need to thank me. We’re friends. This is what friends do.”
Felicity’s eyes widened as she looked up at him. “Really? Are we really friends?”
Kayden Scott smiled slightly and nodded. “Yes, we’re definitely friends.”
“Why? Why would you want to be my friend? I’m so ugly!” As she said this, she raised her hand and tried to cover the red birthmark on her face.
Kayden Scott laughed softly and shook his head. “No, you’re not ugly. You’re very pretty. The birthmark doesn’t affect your beauty. It’s only temporary-it’ll soon have no impact on you.”
Felicity lowered her head and shook it, her voice filled with sorrow. “No, I’m ugly. I have mirrors at home, you know. I know you’re a good person, but I really can’t afford to get surgery.”
She glanced at the bank card again.
“By the way, how about you take the extra 280, 000 from this card? I know 280, 000 isn’t enough for surgery, but…” she trailed off, offering the money.
Kayden Scott was instantly speechless.
