Kamara’s POV
A dull, throbbing pain at the back of my head was the first thing I registered as I felt my consciousness drift back to me. My limbs felt heavy and it felt difficult to breathe. The last thing I remembered was being in the garden and now… now?
My eyes fluttered open, everything dim and almost dark. It took a while before my eyes finally adjusted to the sight around. I couldn’t tell where I was but from the fresh scent of alcohol and cigarette, I was tell someone was here not so long ago. I tried to move, but pressure dug into my body making me wince a little. Rope, I was tied to a chair.
My breath hitched. Where am I?
The last thing I remembered were those voices in the garden telling me their boss would love me.
I didn’t know who could have done this but my only thought was either it was connected to Diego or something else but there was no way it would be something else because he is the only dangerous thing I am connected to.
“You’re finally awake.”
A deep voice sent chills down my spine and I could almost shiver. The voice was slow and smooth but deep in it I could sense some sort of pleased amusement.
I turned my head to lock eyes with a man standing a few feet away. His dark hair was was slicked back, his features hard to see under the dim light but I could see the smug smirk on his face as he took a cigarette up to his lips. He wore a sleek black shirt with pants, and the elegance that excluded from him made him even more frightening.
“Who the hell are you?” My voice was hoarse, my throat dry. I didn’t know for how long I was but I felt really thirsty.
“I doubt you’ll know me if I told you… or no wait, you’re Diego’s precious woman, of course he’ll let you in on who I am.”
Diego again. I knew I was right. There was nothing anyone wanted from me to go through the troubles of abducting me.
“What do you want from me?” I asked, standing my ground more than earlier. “If you’ve got a beef with Diego just kidnap him or something. Why drag me into this?”
A soft chuckle escaped his lips as he leaned forward, moving away from the wall where he leaned against before approaching me. His eyes didn’t leave mine as he stared down at me like a predator ready to devour its prey at any moment. He stopped only a few inches away, “I was curious about the woman Diego kept under close watch.” His fingers grazed my cheeks gently and I jerked away. “I had to see for myself if it was worth the trouble.”
“And goodness, you’re so much prettier than the pictures I was shown,” he said, a hint of lust in his tone making me shrivel in disgust. I could feel his eyes all over me and all I wanted to do was hut him but I couldn’t do that. I was bound.
“Do you think kidnapping me would get you anything from Diego?” I scoffed, almost laughing mockingly but it stung me in the chest too. Diego had no obligation to save me even though I was just another tool for him. “He doesn’t give a damn about me so I’m just as useless to you.”
He chuckled. “Oh, you’re just another one who throws herself at big shots, but does that mean I wouldn’t have fun with you? No. I’d love to see the despair in your face when I push deep into you and make you cry.” He said, his hand reaching for my lips and with a swift moment, I bit his finger, making him hiss.
A stinging pain crossed my face as his hand landed across my face. He jerked me out of the seat, my hands still tied before shoving me backward with force. I thought I was going to fall to the ground, but instead, I fell on something soft and bouncy. It was a bed. It made it all clear to me that he wasn’t joking about what he was saying and i might have just provoked him more.
The room became lit and I could see his face more, he looked irritated but at the same time, the calmness he used in unbuttoning his shirt gave me a sickening feeling. I felt like ice ran through my veins and I didn’t know if it was the cold or I was scared as I shivered, tears gathering in my eyes.
He grabbed my chin, forcefully making me look up at his smug face with a satisfied grin. “Can you feel it? The chills in your spine and the tears in your eyes. A proof that you’re weak and there’s nothing you can do about it.”
My voice cut through the feeling I was having, wiggling myself away from his grip but it was useless. “Go to hell.” I spat at his face but he didn’t seem bothered one bit.
His smirk widened. “Been there. I thought I’d bring a piece of it to you.” He grabbed my chin even more tightly, sinking his lips into mine. All I could feel was the alcohol and scent of cigarettes as his tongue thrust into my mouth.
I felt lightheaded and nauseous, tears rolling down the corner of my eyes as I tried to fight back but his grip on my chin tightened. It was irritating and suffocating. I felt like the energy in my entire body was being zapped away.
Then
A loud bang echoes through the room.
The door slammed open, crashing against the wall, and his grip on me loosened, turning back while straddling me. He suddenly tensed as a voice rang through the air, cold and deadly.
“Get the fuck away from her, Vando.”
My breath caught. I knew that voice.
Diego.
