Security Breach

After making sure that Kwan already left the mansion, Lando cautiously went to the kitchen. He saw Rebecca sitting beside the table, mixing something in a bowl.
Rebecca was making chocolate waffles when she heard some footsteps coming towards her. As she looked back, she saw Lando’s face, and everything turned dark as she lost consciousness.
Rebecca didn’t know what happened next, but when she opened her eyes, she found herself inside a dark room, tied to a chair. She realized that the person she trusted betrayed her.
“That traitor!” Rebecca screamed in her mind. “How could he betray us like this after treating him like a part of the family? What a shameless, ungrateful man!”
“How have you been, my dear?” Brandon broke the silence as he slowly walked towards Rebecca. An eerie, demonic smile, with his teeth sticking out, lit up on his face, as if he couldn’t be happier than to see this woman cry in despair after all the misery she brought to his life.
“You demon!” Rebecca wanted to scream, but she couldn’t open her mouth because of the duct tape on her lips.
“Are you saying something?” Brandon laughed. “You don’t have to force yourself too much, my dear. Just be obedient to me, and I’ll be gentle to you.”
Brandon slowly removed the duct tape from Rebecca’s lips, excited to hear anything she wanted to say, saying that no matter where she’d go, he’d always hunt her down.
“Why are you doing this to me, Brein?” Rebecca’s tears slowly formed in her eyes and streamed down her face.
Brandon wiped the tears from Rebecca’s face. He kissed her forehead and said, “Don’t cry, my dear. I won’t hurt you if you can promise me one thing.”
Rebecca didn’t reply, as she didn’t want to get hurt by saying something that could piss off the moron in front of her who was trying to be nice.
“I would like you to be my wife. Can you do that for me?” Brandon asked. “I know you can. Besides, we’ve already done something that only a couple would do.”
Rebecca just gave him a blank stare. She didn’t really care about whatever he would say because the only person she loved was Kwan Moldrick. However, she knew she could do nothing if Brandon would force her to marry him.
“Aren’t you going to beg me to let you go?” Brandon asked.
“What’s the purpose of doing that if you’ll still be the one who gives orders?” Rebecca replied.
“You’re clever. I like that. You’re not just a beauty, but also a brain,” Brandon complimented.
Hearing what Brandon said, Rebecca realized something. People always praised her beauty and intelligence, and she thought she could use that against her enemies.
“I know you hated me for being Kwan’s girlfriend, but I know you still love me despite everything, and that’s the reason why you can’t kill me,” Rebecca said.
Brandon laughed out loud like a demon. “How can you say that if I even hired your boyfriend to kill you? Don’t be stupid, my dear. I know what you’re planning to do.”
“Then, why won’t you just kill me now? That’s what you want, right?” Rebecca muffled, as Brandon suddenly grasped her neck, making her look into his eyes.
“Don’t be stubborn, my dear, if you don’t want to suffer,” Brandon warned in a serious tone.
Rebecca felt the pain coming from her neck. She couldn’t breathe properly, as if she were about to lose consciousness, but she thought she had to be strong if she wanted to see Kwan again.
“I’m, um, pregnant.” Rebecca barely managed to speak out. She could no longer think of anything to save herself from the hands of death.
Brandon removed his hand from Rebecca’s neck. He didn’t know how to react to what he heard. He suddenly laughed out loud and asked, “Why would I believe you?”
“I already got the results of my pregnancy test, and it’s positive,” Rebecca replied.
Brandon was left speechless. “What if she’s just lying so that I won’t kill her?”
When Kwan arrived at the black mansion, he felt uncomfortable, seeing that the gate was open. As he continued to the kitchen, curiosity appeared on his face, seeing the messy table with chocolates, butter, baking powder, and eggs spreading around.
“What happened here?” Kwan wondered. He noticed that there was nobody inside the mansion. “Where’s Lando? Where’s Rebecca?”
After checking every room and even the most narrow areas around the mansion, Kwan realized that something wrong must have happened to Rebecca. Kwan took his phone and dialed Wen’s number.
“After driving me away, you’d call me like nothing had happened?” Wen asked over the line.
“I’m sorry, Wen, but please, you’re the only option I have right now,” Kwan apologized. “Please help me; I don’t want to lose Rebecca.”
For a while, Kwan didn’t hear anything from Wen. He couldn’t blame her either, because he just let her go without even considering how she felt.
Wen, on the other hand, couldn’t just disregard her best friend’s plea. Although she was mad about what happened, she still considered him a friend, and even more than that. She had been holding on to her undying feelings for him.
“Okay, I’ll help you. Just pick me up here,” Wen eventually said. “I’m at Patrick’s house.”
Kwan hurriedly went to Patrick’s house. He couldn’t stop himself from worrying about what could happen to Rebecca, just in case she’d been kidnapped again. But even if it’d take his life to save the woman he loved, he wouldn’t hesitate to sacrifice it.
They eventually reached Brein Loi’s territory, as there wasn’t any other place or person they could think of that would dare to kidnap Rebecca except for Brandon.
“So, what are you planning to do?” Wen asked, waiting for Kwan’s order, looking at his face covered by a black mask to avoid getting recognized by the enemies.
“We can’t just attack them without having a plan. We know that Brein’s security isn’t easy to break,” Wen said.
“Let’s breach their security as we usually do. It’s our expertise to pretend to be someone else, isn’t it?” Kwan replied.
Wen understood what Kwan was talking about, so they started sneaking inside the mansion, breaking the guard’s neck, and wearing their uniforms.
Brandon hurriedly ordered his men to watch Rebecca when he heard the security alert sound. He already expected this to happen.
“How audacious they are to enter my territory! This will be their burial ground.” Brandon laughed like a demon. “Whoever can kill these trespassers will be greatly rewarded.”
Brandon’s men immediately spread out and searched for the enemies, eager to get a huge amount of money in return.
