“Miss, Lyric is calling us. Should we go over?” Jon Conway asked in a consultative tone.
Amber Watts thought for a moment and nodded.
The closer they got to the bonfire, the more enticing the aroma became. Even though Amber Watts had a cool temperament and was not particularly fond of food, she couldn’t help but secretly swallow her saliva as she looked at the golden meat on the grill and smelled the fragrance wafting from the copper pot.
As a second-grade alchemist, Amber Watts had extraordinary insight.
Just by smelling it, she knew that the roasted and stewed meat contained a lot of Spirit Herbs and Spirit Fruits, and they were of high quality.
She also wondered what kind of animal the large leg came from.
Amber Watts moved her gaze from the roast meat to Leo, becoming curious about him.
This man who claimed to be a rogue cultivator, what was his background, and why would her second brother bring out such a delicious Medicinal Feast to entertain him?
Amber Watts then looked at Arthur, who was eating a large piece of meat, and asked, “Arthur, did you ask Master Chance to prepare the roasted and stewed meat?”
In Watts Mansion, there was an elderly Master Chance, whose preparation of Medicinal Feasts was unparalleled.
Now that Master Chance was old, he only cooked personally when there were significant events in the mansion.
In Amber Watts’ view, only Master Chance and Jon Conway’s father could prepare such a delicious Medicinal Feast in Watts Mansion.
Jon Conway’s father was an elder of the family, and Arthur did not have the authority to ask him to cook a Medicinal Feast, so she assumed it was Master Chance who prepared it.
Arthur had not yet swallowed the meat in his mouth, so he couldn’t answer Amber Watts’ question immediately.
Amber Watts assumed Arthur’s silence was an admission and said discontentedly, “Arthur, Master Chance is old. How could you make him work…”
“No, it wasn’t Master Chance who prepared this.” Arthur quickly swallowed his food and said.
“Not Master Chance?” Amber Watts showed a look of disbelief.
Jon Conway also had a hint of doubt in his eyes.
“Amber, come and try it. Leo’s roasted meat is so delicious; it’s even better than Master Chance’s.” Lyric cut a piece of fragrant roasted meat with Arthur’s dagger and handed it to Amber Watts.
“He roasted it?” Lyric’s words made Amber Watts pause and then show an embarrassed expression.
Jon Conway looked away from the roast meat and curiously examined Leo, thinking to himself, “To make such delicious food, could he be a chef specializing in Medicinal Feasts like Master Chance?”
“Amber, try it. It’s really delicious,” Lyric urged expectantly.
Amber Watts indeed wanted to take the roasted meat from Lyric’s hand because the aroma was too tempting.
But her pride and self-respect made her dismiss the idea.
“Lyric, you eat. I’ve already had dinner,” Amber Watts said, shaking her head and trying to look away from the roast meat.
“Amber, just have one bite. It’s the best thing I’ve ever eaten,” Lyric pleaded with wide eyes.
Amber Watts still gently shook her head.
Lyric then turned to Jon Conway and asked, “Jon, have you eaten?”
Jon Conway smiled and nodded, “Lyric, I have eaten with Miss.”
In fact, he and Amber Watts had just come out of Alchemy Hall and hadn’t had dinner at all.
However, as a devoted admirer, he naturally couldn’t contradict Amber Watts. Although the aroma of the roast meat was making it hard for him to resist.
“Amber, are you sure you don’t want to eat? Such delicious roast meat isn’t something you can eat anytime.”
Just as Lyric finished speaking, a large hand reached over and took the roast meat from her hand.
“Little girl, since Amber doesn’t want to eat, don’t force her. Come to the copper pot; I’ll serve you some meat soup.” Leo took the meat with one hand and led Lyric to the copper pot with the other.
Hearing about meat soup, Lyric’s eyes lit up again.
Leo’s attitude made Amber Watts’ mood turn cold again. She wanted to leave but felt it would be undignified, especially since this was Watts Mansion, her home.
At the copper pot, Leo put down the roast meat and let go of Lyric’s hand. He took a large ladle and a bowl from nearby.
After stirring the copper pot with the ladle a few times, Leo scooped a full ladle of meat soup into the bowl.
The rich aroma of meat mixed with the fragrance of Spirit Herbs and Spirit Fruits wafted through the air…
“So fragrant!” Lyric looked at the bowl in Leo’s hand with glowing eyes and exclaimed excitedly.
Leo handed the bowl to Lyric and said, “Let it cool down before drinking.”
Lyric quickly took the bowl and blew on it continuously to cool it down faster.
Soon, Lyric couldn’t wait any longer and took a small sip. The flavors of meat, fruit, and Spirit Herbs exploded on her taste buds!
“Leo, it’s so delicious!” Lyric’s expression was like a child who had received their favorite toy.
Seeing Lyric like that, Arthur couldn’t wait any longer. He quickly walked to the copper pot, took a large bowl, and filled it with meat soup for himself.
After letting it cool slightly, Arthur held the bowl with both hands and gulped down large mouthfuls of soup.
After finishing a large bowl of meat soup, his face showed complete satisfaction and happiness.
Seeing Lyric and Arthur enjoying themselves so much and smelling the fragrant meat soup, Jon Conway couldn’t help but swallow twice.
Amber Watts’ cold face also changed slightly. Although she usually didn’t like eating meat or having dinner late at night, she suddenly felt hungry.
Lyric drank two bowls of meat soup before stopping reluctantly.
“Leo, it’s a bit hot. The energy in the meat soup is so abundant. Let me digest it first before eating more.”
Lyric sat down cross-legged and began to circulate her cultivation technique. A faint glow of spiritual power appeared on her body surface.
Lyric had good talent. Though young, she was already at the peak of Spirit Master level.
As she circulated her technique, the energy from the meat soup quickly converted into strands of spiritual power that settled in her dantian.
After about four or five minutes, Lyric’s aura began to rise, and heaven and earth’s spiritual energy started to flow into her small body spontaneously.
Amber Watts, Jon Conway, and Arthur all knew very well that this indicated a breakthrough in cultivation level.
In their impression, Lyric had been stuck at the peak of upper-level Spirit Master for more than half a year.
The influx of spiritual energy lasted for about three minutes.
When it stopped flowing in, Lyric’s rising aura also stabilized.
