Chapter 1846: Super Delicious

By the campfire, there were three people: Leo, Arthur, and Lyric.
Lyric held a butterfly kite in her hand, her big beautiful eyes blinking as she glanced back and forth between the roasting wolf leg over the fire and the copper pot beside it. A glistening droplet of saliva seemed to form at the corner of her rosy lips.
“Leo, Leo, can we eat now?” Lyric asked every few minutes.
Leo always replied, “Just wait a little longer.”
Arthur suppressed his hunger, swallowed hard, and said, “Leo, I didn’t know you were such a cooking expert. You’re way better than the chefs in the Watts family!”
Leo just chuckled and continued turning the wolf leg on the spit.
The aroma grew richer, carried by the night breeze throughout the entire Watts Mansion.
After a few more minutes, Leo stopped what he was doing and said, “Alright, it’s ready to eat.”
“Great, finally!” Lyric cheered impatiently.
Leo took out the Purple Radiance Dagger and cut off a large piece of meat from the wolf leg.
“Here you go, little girl,” Leo handed the meat to Lyric.
Lyric quickly took it and, without worrying about the heat, took a big bite.
As her mouth filled with flavor, Lyric couldn’t help but exclaim, “So delicious! This is better than anything I’ve ever eaten!”
Engrossed in enjoying her food, Lyric fell silent.
Seeing the look of happiness and satisfaction on Lyric’s face, Arthur couldn’t help but swallow hard again.
Leo looked at Arthur and laughed, “What are you waiting for? Cut some for yourself.”
Arthur had been waiting for this. He eagerly took out a knife and cut off a large piece of wolf leg meat.
As soon as he took a bite, his expression mirrored that of Lyric.
“Leo, this is amazing! I’ve never tasted anything so good!” Arthur praised between mouthfuls.
After devouring most of the meat in her hands, Lyric suddenly remembered something and said to Leo, “Leo, this roast is so good. Amber has definitely never tasted it. Can I call her to join us?”
Leo smiled and shook his head. “Better not call her. She might think I have some ulterior motive.”
Leo preferred to enjoy his meal in peace without causing trouble for himself.
With that, Leo cut himself a large piece of wolf leg meat and began to chew heartily.
“Alright, Leo, I’ll listen to you,” Lyric said with a hint of regret on her face. Although Amber could be strict with her sometimes, she was often very kind, so Lyric wanted Amber to enjoy the meal with her.
As if to prove the saying “speak of the devil,” two figures appeared on one side of the small lake under the moonlight.
One was a young woman in a white dress with delicate features and a slightly cold expression. She was Amber Watts, the eldest daughter of the Watts Mansion.
Beside her was a man dressed in white, with a smile that seemed overly eager. He said to Amber Watts, “Miss Amber, regarding my father’s lecture today in Alchemy Hall about the process and properties of refining the Third-rank Chi Spirit Pill, I think we could discuss it further.”
“If we can perfectly refine the Chi Spirit Pill, we should be able to suppress the Golden family’s arrogance.”
As he spoke, a flicker of excitement flashed deep in his eyes, though he hid it well.
Amber Watts sighed lightly and replied in her usual cool tone, “Given your father’s expertise, he hasn’t managed to perfect the Chi Spirit Pill in over two years. It’s not easy to suppress the Golden family’s Restoration Spirit Pill with it.”
The Watts family’s stronghold in Zratol was based on their alchemy and sale of pills.
The family had their own Alchemy Hall and had trained many alchemists.
The Third-rank Chi Spirit Pill was originally their flagship product and had brought significant revenue to the family.
However, three months ago, the Golden family-one of the three major families-launched a more effective and cheaper pill called the Restoration Spirit Pill, aggressively taking over the market.
This forced the Watts family to lower the price of their Chi Spirit Pill.
Now, with the current price of the Chi Spirit Pill, there was almost no profit left for the Watts family.
The situation for the Watts family was deteriorating rapidly.
The man in white showed a confident expression and said firmly, “Miss Amber, don’t be discouraged. With our talent in alchemy, we might find a new path. How about we go to Alchemy Hall again tomorrow…”
He stopped mid-sentence because he smelled something extraordinary.
“What is that smell? It’s so fragrant!” The man in white took a deep breath, looking surprised.
His name was Jon Conway, son of the chief alchemist of the Watts family.
Amber Watts also sniffed the air and noticed a peculiar scent. “This is the unique aroma of a Medicinal Feast.”
“At this hour, who would be preparing a Medicinal Feast?” Jon Conway swallowed his saliva discreetly, full of curiosity. “Miss Amber, there’s firelight over there. Let’s go check it out.”
Amber Watts nodded.
The two walked quickly towards the source of the firelight.
As they got closer, they finally saw where the aroma was coming from.
Over a campfire was a large spit with an unknown animal’s leg roasting on it. Beside it was a large copper pot emitting steam filled with a unique fragrance.
“It’s Arthur and Lyric… and someone else…” Jon Conway’s gaze swept over Arthur and Lyric before stopping on an unfamiliar figure. He frowned slightly.
Jon Conway knew well that only those close to the Watts family could come near this lake.
Amber Watts also frowned when she saw Leo’s figure.
Lyric wiped her greasy mouth and noticed something out of the corner of her eye. She suddenly widened her eyes and pointed ahead. “Amber is here!”
Leo and Arthur looked up in the direction Lyric pointed and saw Amber Watts approaching with a man.
“Leo, Amber is here. Can we invite them to eat?” Lyric asked Leo expectantly.
“Sure, whatever makes you happy.” It was just a Medicinal Feast after all. Leo wasn’t petty. If Lyric wanted to invite them, so be it.
“Leo, you’re so kind!” Lyric stood up and called out to Amber and Jon Conway. “Amber, Jon, come have some roast meat!”
