Chapter 1836: Deadly Poison

Book:The All-powerful Son-In-Law Published:2025-2-5

The green shield emerged from the Storage Sack, rapidly expanding to block George Collins.
The massive body of the Stormfire Wolf crashed into the green shield, shattering it with a swipe of its claws.
“Monster, I’ll fight you to the death!” With no escape and facing life or death, George Collins had no choice but to fight desperately.
He crushed the green sword talisman in his hand.
A green sword light shot out, slashing violently at the charging Stormfire Wolf.
Unfortunately, in his panic, George Collins only managed to sever one of the wolf’s legs instead of its head.
A painful and piercing howl erupted from the Stormfire Wolf’s mouth.
The Stormfire Wolf went berserk, its eyes turning blood-red as it locked onto George Collins.
George Collins’ lips twitched. “Damn it, the life-saving sword talisman my father gave me didn’t kill this demon wolf.”
The Stormfire Wolf, now on three legs, charged at George Collins.
“Elders, save me!” George Collins scrambled and fled in a panic.
Elder Noah and Elder Archie were both occupied by two other Stormfire Wolves and couldn’t spare any effort to save George Collins.
Watching George Collins being chased around by the three-legged Stormfire Wolf, Leo couldn’t help but smirk.
Whether this spoiled brat could survive depended on whether he could outrun a three-legged wolf.
Leo’s figure flickered and appeared beside Arthur Watts.
“Leo, you’re amazing. My admiration for you is like a continuous river,” Arthur Watts said with a look of awe, showering Leo with praise.
Returning the favor in kind was indeed satisfying.
The scene shifted back to the sky.
Lucas Collins was still locked in battle with the wolf king.
Man and wolf fought fiercely, neither gaining the upper hand.
Arthur Watts looked up at the battle and said worriedly, “Leo, if Lucas Collins kills the wolf king and finds out you lured wolves to attack his son…”
“If Lucas Collins dares to lay a hand on me, he’ll regret it!” Leo said confidently.
“Leo, Lucas Collins is at the peak of the Spirit King stage and very powerful. You’d better not confront him head-on. If things get bad, come back to the Watts family with me. He wouldn’t dare attack us there,” Arthur Watts suggested.
Leo just smiled calmly without responding.
In the sky, Lucas Collins and the wolf king’s battle had reached a critical point, with both sustaining injuries.
Realizing that a stalemate wouldn’t work, Lucas Collins channeled more spiritual power into his Windspirit Blade.
The Windspirit Blade emitted a clear sound that echoed through the heavens, its green sword light growing brighter and more intense.
“Windspirit Octet!” Lucas Collins shouted with killing intent in his eyes.
Before his voice faded, Lucas Collins gripped his sword with both hands and slashed at the wolf king.
The sharp green sword light split into eight, slashing at the wolf king from all directions.
This was Lucas Collins’ signature move.
The wolf king roared, lightning flashing in its eyes as powerful demonic energy surged from its body.
Thunder rumbled in the sky as nine bolts of lightning formed from the demonic energy, striking at the eight green sword lights and Lucas Collins.
The collision of lightning and sword light produced thunderous explosions.
Lightning and sword light clashed violently in the sky.
After the clash, neither the lightning nor the green sword light dissipated completely, but their power was significantly weakened.
In the next moment, the green sword light struck the wolf king’s body.
Blood and flesh flew from the wolf king’s massive body, revealing deep wounds down to the bone.
The wolf king’s green fur was instantly stained red with blood.
As the wolf king was hit by the green sword light, lightning struck Lucas Collins.
Despite his protective spiritual power, Lucas Collins was shaken by the lightning’s force, blood spilling from his mouth.
Additionally, his luxurious robe was scorched black by the lightning, making him look somewhat disheveled.
Lucas Collins shouted angrily, “Monster, today I will fight you to the death!”
“You think you can kill me? In your dreams!” The bloodied wolf king roared defiantly.
Lucas Collins sneered. “Your Demonkin intelligence is truly worrying. Didn’t you notice anything strange when my Windspirit Blade injured you?”
The wolf king was startled and quickly examined its wounds.
Although they had stopped bleeding, strange blue ice crystals were forming on them.
“You poisoned your sword!?” The wolf king’s huge eyes showed rare fear.
It then noticed a faint blue glow on Lucas Collins’ Windspirit Blade.
“After returning from Thunder Valley last time, I spent a fortune to buy Northern Viper Venom from Everlasting Trade Association just for today!” Lucas Collins said proudly.
Northern Viper Venom was one of the top three poisons on Awakened Continent. Even a Demon King-level beast with strong resistance couldn’t withstand it.
“Despicable human!!” The wolf king roared in fury.
Though Demonkin bodies were much stronger than humans’, their intelligence was generally lower. However, there were exceptions like the fox demon clan who were very intelligent.
“Monster, do you feel your blood freezing and your demonic energy unable to flow properly?” Seeing the changes in the wolf king, Lucas Collins grew more confident, looking victorious.
The wolf king remained silent because it indeed felt its blood freezing and an icy chill spreading throughout its body. Its demonic energy flow was also becoming sluggish.
If this continued, it wouldn’t even be able to stand in mid-air, let alone attack.
“Wolf king, I’ll give you a chance now. Submit to me as my mount and I’ll spare your life,” Lucas Collins said coldly, raising his Windspirit Blade.
“Despicable human! Dream on if you think I’ll be your mount!”
“I’d rather die than be your mount!”
Lucas Collins’ words were an immense insult to the wolf king.
The wolf king let out a terrifying roar, lightning surging around it as it used its last bit of strength to charge at Lucas Collins.
“Hmph, if you’re so stubborn, don’t blame me for being ruthless. I’ll use your inner core to make powerful elixirs.”
Lucas Collins snorted coldly and charged at the approaching wolf king with his Windspirit Blade.
He swung his Windspirit Blade repeatedly, sending one deadly sword light after another at the wolf king.
