Chapter 1778: Sharing

Book:My Ex-husband Regretted To End The Marriage Published:2025-2-5

Camille had some allergy medication in her hand, prescribed by Dr. Ellis. She planned to bring it to the office tomorrow since a lot of people in the office were experiencing allergies, possibly due to the weather.
It was getting late, and Camille bid farewell to the elders before leaving with Ayan.
Hand in hand, they took the elevator down and walked to the car in silence. Ayan didn’t say a word.
Camille couldn’t help but ask, “Why aren’t you saying anything? Aren’t you curious about what I found out about your grandfather from Dr. Ellis?”
“If there was good news, wouldn’t you have told me already?” Ayan replied with a faint smile, a hint of helplessness in his expression.
Camille fell silent instantly because that was indeed the case.
Letting out a sigh, Camille suggested, “Callum spends every day at the hospital, and his mood doesn’t seem to be very good. If possible, maybe we should let him go back to the Simpson’s mansion. We can ask Dr. Ellis to arrange for a medical team to stay with us there. It would be more convenient.”
Camille had been thinking about this for a while. After hearing Dr. Ellis’s words just now, she felt that this decision could be feasible.
Her words were filled with concern for Callum. Perhaps it would be more beneficial for his physical and mental well-being if they could keep him company.
After finishing her statement, Camille looked at Ayan, waiting for his response.
Ayan didn’t immediately agree and wore a slightly serious expression. He said, “We need to discuss this thoroughly and consult with Dr. Ellis before making any decisions. So for now, I can’t give you an answer.”
“No rush. I just wanted to share this idea with you. The specific arrangements will depend on your decision with your parents. The most important thing is that it suits your grandfather. I haven’t mentioned anything to Dr. Ellis or your father about my thoughts.”
“Alright, I’ll keep that in mind.”
“Good. No matter what your decision is, you need to tell me right away, okay?”
Ayan agreed.
He drove out of the hospital garage and headed straight back to Franklin Bay.
On the hospital side, after Ayan and Camille left, Callum remained lost in deep thought. It was already time for him to rest at this hour, but tonight, he couldn’t find any sleep. He sat on the couch without uttering a word.
After a while, Fletcher couldn’t bear the silence and spoke up, “Dad, what are you thinking about? Can’t you tell me?”
Callum glanced at his son casually but without any warmth in his cloudy eyes.
And he still didn’t say anything.
Seeing this, Fletcher stopped joking around and asked seriously, “Dad, what’s troubling you so much?”
Her grandfather let out a sigh but didn’t answer directly. His expression remained solemn as he asked, “What do you think of Ayan and Camille?”
This question caught Fletcher off guard.
He instinctively probed further, “Did Ayan say something to you again? Aren’t they stable now? Does he have any other ideas?”
The old man furrowed his brows and replied sternly, “Don’t make assumptions. There’s nothing going on.”
“Then why are you asking like this?”
“You answer me first.”
“I think they’re doing well together.”
“Is Ayan really treating her well?” Callum still seemed uncertain about Ayan and lacked confidence in him.
Fletcher smiled lightly and said, “Yes, he’s treating her really well. Their relationship is great.”
“In that case, find a way for them to remarry!” Callum said firmly before expressing his thoughts in a low voice.
Fletcher’s expression turned serious after hearing this request. “With just one word from you, they will remarry immediately.”
“They’re playing games right now as if they are quite enjoying the state of being divorced. They probably feel more relaxed without the marriage certificate.” The old man expressed his concern.
He wasn’t trying to force them. He simply believed that under these circumstances, remarriage was the best plan and would prevent others from taking advantage.
With his father insisting on this matter, Fletcher couldn’t resist anymore and eventually gave in.
Fletcher then said, “Since I agree with your suggestion, you have to take care of yourself, okay?”
Callum nodded to show that he understood. It was getting late, so Fletcher got up and returned to his room.
Fletcher left the ward to find Dr. Ellis.
Though their days at the hospital were dull, Fletcher knew how to make things interesting when spending time with Dr. Ellis-they either played chess or drank tea while chatting.
Overall, life wasn’t bad.
But tonight, Fletcher came to see him for something else entirely.
Dr. Ellis wasn’t willing at first. However, after Fletcher’s persistence, Dr. Ellis eventually agreed reluctantly.
He said jokingly though with a smile on his face, “If you guys do this, aren’t you afraid they’ll get angry?”
“They won’t,” Fletcher confidently assured him.
Dr. Ellis chuckled and said, “Well then, it has nothing to do with me anyway since I’m being forced into it.”
Fletcher didn’t say anything. If someone had to take responsibility for any consequences arising from this plan, it would undoubtedly fall on Dr. Ellis first. But for now, he kept quiet about it.
….
Winter in Hance City was particularly cold.
Every day was filled with chilling winds that cut through bones.
Camille went to work together with Sienna. The temperature inside the car was normal. However, when they arrived at the office building, neither of them had the courage to open the door.
Because it was just too cold outside.
The coldness made them reluctant to move. They just wanted to sit quietly in the car.
Looking at the wind blowing fiercely and shaking the trees vigorously outside, Sienna spoke softly, “Camille… Do you think this wind will blow us away?”
“Why don’t you try going out and see?” Camille asked nonchalantly.
Sienna pinched her arm lightly. “Can’t you be nicer to me?”
“I’m pregnant!”
“So what? Being pregnant won’t make you special.” Camille smirked.
Sienna leaned back against the passenger seat and laughed, “The baby inside my belly is likely to be your daughter-in-law in the future. Are you sure you still want to treat me this way?”
“Fine then! You win! But if it’s a boy, my second child will be your daughter-in-law.”
“Are you pregnant?” Sienna brightened up instantly as she stared fixedly at Camille’s belly with eyes seemingly wanting to see through it. Camille instinctively raised her hand to cover her belly.
Sienna laughed again, “What are you hiding? Can’t I take a look? We’re so close. Can’t I even look at your belly?”
“I suspect you have an ultrasound installed in your eyes,” Camille complained.
Sienna insisted on removing Camille’s hand and continued with her previous question. “Is it true? When did you find out you were pregnant? Why didn’t you tell me anything? Are we still going to be future in-laws?”
