Who was Victor Yellowbird? A figure from a century ago! Could it be that Amy was still alive in this world?
But even if Amy were alive, she’d be a woman over a hundred years old by now. Yet the woman standing before him was clearly in her twenties.
What was going on?
Chris suddenly found his thoughts in disarray.
From his spatial ring, he retrieved a portrait that Victor Yellowbird had once entrusted to him. Carefully, he compared it to the woman before him.
The resemblance was uncanny.
Could there really be someone who looked so identical in this world?
Chris had come here with the intention of finding Seraphina. But to his surprise, he had stumbled upon a woman in the Dragon Order who was a mirror image of Victor Yellowbird’s wife, Amy.
“Who’s there?”
The woman suddenly turned around and shouted sharply.
Instantly, a wave of overwhelming killing intent swept over Chris like a storm.
His breathing faltered.
Terrifying.
Absolutely terrifying.
Chris knew that his purpose here was to find Seraphina, and he had no reason to provoke unnecessary trouble.
In a flash, his figure vanished into thin air.
The woman frowned as she watched the direction he had disappeared in.
“Someone else is here? Don’t they know this is a forbidden zone of the Dragon Order? No one is allowed here.”
“Sigh…”
The woman heaved a soft sigh and murmured to herself, “I wonder how Victor is doing. A hundred years have passed-perhaps he’s long gone, and I’m left to wander this world alone…”
Chris’s mind was a whirlwind of questions.
Who was that woman? Why did she look so much like Amy? And why was she in the Dragon Order’s base?
Shaking his head, Chris forced himself to focus. The priority now was to find Seraphina.
The last time he was here, Seraphina had given him a tour of the Dragon Order’s base. So he wasn’t entirely unfamiliar with the layout.
Chris arrived at the place where Seraphina had stayed-but the room was completely empty.
“What’s this?”
On the table, Chris found a note.
It was something Seraphina had left behind before she left.
As soon as he read it, Chris’s expression darkened.
“Not good. Seraphina’s in danger!”
Meanwhile, Seraphina had already been locked in the dungeon for an entire day.
She knew that with her current strength, escaping would be nearly impossible. Hollow Frost was far too powerful.
The sound of approaching footsteps echoed through the dungeon.
Seraphina lifted her head to see Hollow Frost walking toward her.
With a smirk that didn’t reach his eyes, Hollow Frost asked, “How’s it feel to be here, Seraphina?”
Her face darkened as she growled, “Hollow Frost, you locked me up here without permission. Aren’t you afraid the head of the Dragon Order will find out?”
Hollow Frost sneered. “Ha! Seraphina, everyone in this dungeon is loyal to me. The head of the Dragon Order will never know. And even if he does, what can he do? The current leader of the Dragon Order is Abbot Ethan. He’s never gotten along with your father, Archer Wintersong. He’d probably be glad to see you dead.”
Seraphina’s face turned grim at his words.
Through gritted teeth, she spat, “What do you want, Hollow Frost?”
Hollow Frost chuckled coldly. “Seraphina, you brought this on yourself. You wouldn’t be in this situation if you hadn’t meddled where you didn’t belong.”
As he spoke, his gaze swept over her, lingering.
There was no denying it-Seraphina was stunning. Her beauty was otherworldly, and her figure was as alluring as it was graceful.
Hollow Frost smirked slyly. “Seraphina, if you agree to be mine, I might consider letting you go. What do you think about that?”
Her response was immediate. “Hollow Frost, don’t even dream of it! I’d rather die than be your woman!”
“Hah!”
Hollow Frost laughed wickedly. “If that’s how you feel, don’t blame me for being ruthless. But don’t worry-I won’t kill you just yet. I’ll use you to lure Chris here, and once I’ve killed him, you can join him in the grave.”
The sound of footsteps echoed once more.
“Mr. Shelby!”
Seraphina’s eyes lit up as she called out in excitement at the figure approaching.
Hollow Frost turned, his face darkening at the sight.
“Chris!”
Grinding his teeth, he spat the name with venom.
Chris smirked coldly. “Hollow Frost. So, it was you who orchestrated Lord Valerian’s attempt to kill me. I must admit, I’m impressed by your audacity.”
Hollow Frost’s expression twisted. “How did you get in here? This is the Dragon Order’s base, heavily guarded. How did you manage to break through?”
Chris’s smirk widened. “That’s irrelevant. All you need to know is that your time has come.”
Hollow Frost laughed, his voice dripping with malice. “Chris, I’ve been waiting to settle the score with you. Since you’ve delivered yourself to me, I’ll make sure this dungeon becomes your grave!”
Chris’s voice was laced with mockery. “You think you can kill me? Hollow Frost, you’re overestimating yourself.”
The taunt sent Hollow Frost into a rage.
As the heir of the Frost family, he had never been insulted like this before.
“Chris, die!”
With a roar, Hollow Frost lunged at Chris.
Chris’s expression turned cold, and his lips curled into a cruel smile. He didn’t dodge-his fist shot out to meet Hollow Frost’s attack head-on.
The battle erupted in a flurry of blows.
“Hollow Frost!” Chris growled, his voice icy. “Your Frost family has opposed me time and again. I showed mercy before, but you dared to release Lord Valerian from the Obsidian Citadel. Not only that, you used his daughter to force him to attack me. And now, you’ve imprisoned my master’s daughter in this dungeon. Hollow Frost, I swear I’ll kill you today!”
With a deafening roar, Chris’s punch connected with Hollow Frost’s chest, sending him flying.
Hollow Frost staggered to his feet, his eyes blazing with hatred as he glared at Chris.
“Chris, one of us dies today!”
Drawing a sword from his waist, Hollow Frost charged, the blade flashing like lightning.
Chris’s expression turned deadly. “Hollow Frost, if it’s death you want, I’ll send you to hell!”
