With an enraged roar, Chris became a blur, dashing forward in an instant. In the blink of an eye, he was standing face-to-face with Hollow Frost. Before Hollow Frost could react, Chris’s hand locked around his throat.
“Help…” Hollow Frost gasped, his face turning crimson as he thrashed desperately.
Crack!
Chris wasted no words. With a sharp twist, he snapped Hollow Frost’s neck.
Thud!
Like tossing out garbage, Chris flung Hollow Frost’s lifeless body to the ground. The man lay there with wide, unseeing eyes, a look of disbelief frozen on his face. He had never imagined he would be killed so swiftly and effortlessly.
Chris cast a cold glance at the corpse before letting out a disdainful snort. Turning, his eyes fell on Seraphina.
“Mr. Shelby!” Seraphina’s face lit up with joy as she saw Hollow Frost fall.
Chris didn’t hesitate. He stepped forward and unlocked the cell door.
“Mr. Shelby, I thought I’d never see you again!” Seraphina cried as she threw herself into his arms.
“Uh…” Chris froze awkwardly. “Um, Seraphina… maybe you should let go first.”
Embarrassed, she released him and stepped back. “Mr. Shelby, I found Lord Valerian’s daughter!”
“What? You found Lord Valerian’s daughter?” Chris’s expression shifted to shock.
Seraphina pointed to a huddled figure in the corner of the cell. “That’s her-Lord Valerian’s daughter, Carol!”
Without hesitation, Chris freed the young woman, who looked up at him with a mixture of fear and relief.
Seraphina’s face turned serious. “Mr. Shelby, we can’t stay here. You killed Hollow Frost. If anyone finds out, they’ll hunt you down.”
“Understood.” Chris nodded and led Seraphina and Carol out of the dungeon.
As they emerged, the sound of hurried footsteps echoed down the corridor. Hanh Sterling appeared, leading dozens of Dragon Order members.
“Chris!” Hanh’s face twisted in fury as he recognized him. Without hesitation, he barked an order. “Seize him! Don’t let him escape!”
The Dragon Order members surrounded Chris in an instant.
Chris smirked coldly and drew the Dragon Slayer sword. He charged into the fray, striking with lethal precision.
Screams filled the air.
One by one, the Dragon Order members fell, unable to withstand Chris’s ferocity. In mere moments, dozens of them lay defeated, groaning on the ground.
“Chris, I’ll kill you myself!” Hanh roared, drawing a steel blade and charging at him.
“Foolish.” Chris swung his sword with devastating force.
Boom!
The collision sent Hanh flying back. He hit the ground hard and lay motionless, incapacitated.
Suddenly, gunfire erupted. Guards from the Dragon Order’s base stormed in, armed with firearms.
Without missing a beat, Chris grabbed Seraphina and Carol and leaped into a dark green Humvee parked nearby.
Vroom!
Vroom!
Vroom!
Chris slammed on the gas, and the vehicle roared to life, speeding away from the base. Within moments, they had escaped the Dragon Order’s territory.

News of Hollow Frost’s death spread quickly, throwing the Frost family into chaos. Hollow Frost wasn’t just the eldest son-he was also the heir to the family’s leadership. His death was a devastating blow.
When Leonard Frost, the Frost family patriarch, heard the news, he collapsed on the spot.
At the same time, the Sterling family, one of the ten noble clans, was equally shaken. Their eldest son, Hanh Sterling, had been gravely injured by Chris and was now clinging to life. The family’s fury knew no bounds.
Both the Frost and Sterling families swore vengeance. They vowed to hunt Chris down and kill him.

By sunrise the next day, Chris returned to his villa with Seraphina and Carol. The two women cleaned up and went to rest.
Meanwhile, Chris checked his phone and found a long list of missed calls. The Dragon Order’s base had been in a satellite signal dead zone, so none of the calls had come through earlier.
Suddenly, his phone rang again. The number was unfamiliar.
“Chris, this is Light Sin,” a sinister voice rasped on the other end. “I have Candace, your childhood sweetheart and the head of the Nance family. If you want her alive, come to Black Rock in Middleton. If you don’t show up, I’ll kill her.”
Click.
The line went dead before Chris could respond. He called back, but the number was already disconnected.
His expression darkened. Light Sin had kidnapped Candace to force his hand. Fury boiled within him.
Moments later, his phone rang again. This time it was James.
“Chris, what the hell is going on? You killed Hollow Frost and nearly killed Hanh Sterling! Now both the Frost and Sterling families are out for blood!”
Chris ignored James’s complaints. “Have you seen your cousin?”
“My cousin? Candace? Isn’t she working at your company? Wait, did something happen to her?” James asked, his voice suddenly tense.
“Yes,” Chris growled. “Light Sin called me. He’s holding Candace hostage.”
“Damn it! They kidnapped my cousin? I’ll tell my grandfather immediately. He’ll send reinforcements to rescue her!” James hung up without waiting for a reply.
Chris made another call, this time to his company, Panda Networks. The receptionist informed him that Candace hadn’t shown up for work the entire day.
His face grew grim. There was no doubt now-Light Sin had truly taken Candace.
“Light Sin,” Chris muttered coldly, his voice laced with venom. “You dared to kidnap Candace? If it’s a fight you want, I’ll give it to you.”
A wave of killing intent radiated from him as he clenched his fists. He blamed himself for putting Candace in danger. No matter what, he would get her back.

As night fell, Chris prepared to leave the villa alone, heading for Black Rock to rescue Candace.
“Mr. Shelby, are you really going alone? Shouldn’t I come with you?” Seraphina asked, concern evident in her voice.
