Tom did not ask who the boy earlier was; it wasn’t that he wasn’t interested, but it held no meaning. He could feel Bubu’s intense love for him. Trust was paramount between them, and only with absolute trust could they have a lasting relationship.
Walking around the car, Tom opened the passenger door for her and helped her into the seat. This scene was observed by Ansel, who sat in another ordinary car not far away. He saw the man who would protect Agnes for the rest of her life.
This man was tall, handsome, and elegant, exuding a gentlemanly aura, gentle as jade, and full of affection for Agnes. Judging by his car, his family background seemed quite good. Ansel finally understood why he had been outshone and admitted to himself that this man was much better than him. He hoped that this man could bring happiness to Agnes.
On the way back to the manor, Tom cheerfully described the engagement scene he had arranged for Agnes in detail. She listened attentively and expectantly, already picturing it in her mind. It was sure to be a warm, romantic, and lovingly arranged engagement scene.
On the way back to the manor, they habitually intertwined their fingers. Tom drove with one hand on the steering wheel while French classical music played softly in the background. It was romantic yet cozy; at that moment, they felt like the happiest people in the world.
As the car entered the manor, a grand engagement scene unfolded before their eyes in the spacious yard. It was even more spectacular than last time and visually stunning. The romantic purple theme looked particularly elegant. Whether in terms of color coordination or layout, it was perfect-more beautiful and grander than Agnes had imagined. It was like stepping into a dreamy purple garden with arched purple facades, an elegant large stage, light purple carpets, and clusters of various purple flowers.
“This is so dreamy,” Agnes exclaimed in amazement.
Tom said, “I remember you said you liked purple.”
They got out of the car together, and Tom put his arm around her shoulders. “We just need a wedding photo now. How about we go for a shoot tomorrow?”
Oh right, they hadn’t taken their wedding photos yet.
“I’ve booked a team,” Tom looked at the girl in his arms. “It’s just up to your schedule.”
Taking photos was something girls loved; wedding photos were even more anticipated. “Sure!”
“Alright, then we’ll go tomorrow.”
“Okay!”
Some busy servants greeted them as Tom led her toward the living room with his arm around her shoulders.
Inside, Agnes greeted and exchanged pleasantries with Fritz family elders, already calling them grandma and mom and dad as if she were part of the family.
The family was delighted to see Agnes! They pampered her like a daughter, offering her plenty of snacks and making her some milk.
Agnes brought kudzu root powder for grandma, which moved her deeply and earned her endless praise.
After about ten minutes in the living room, Tom took Agnes to the yard. As the lady of honor on their engagement day, Agnes admired the scene with a heart full of happiness.
The sea of roses in the distance also became a beautiful embellishment; those delicate flowers swayed gently in the wind.
A breeze carrying floral scents blew across their faces, ruffling Agnes’s hair.
Tom stood before Agnes and couldn’t help but cup her face to smooth her hair before pressing his cheek against hers.
Their smiles were filled with sweetness.
