Chapter 2521: They Were Going Home to Meet the Parents

“You…” Spencer furrowed his handsome brows slightly and asked directly, “Tom Fritz, is there anything else I don’t know about?”
“You sound like a wife checking on her husband. Be careful your wife doesn’t misunderstand your intentions,” Tom teased with a smile, but then continued, “Spencer, now you know everything.”
Tom eventually gave up. First, he didn’t want Spencer to dig deeper and make Agnes feel awkward. Second, he needed Spencer’s help with Mr. Campell and Mrs. Campell.
This was quite pleasing to Spencer, who was all smiles even while drinking his coffee.
“Wish you happiness,” Summer said with a smile.
“Thank you, Summer,” the two young people sitting opposite responded in unison, then turned their gaze to Spencer.
Spencer was taken aback for a moment. “Do I need to express my opinion? Of course, I support it with both hands.”
Agnes was overjoyed. “So, as for my parents, we need you two to put in a good word.”
“No problem.”
Over a cup of coffee, because Spencer and Tom were friends, because Agnes had liked this man for years, and because Summer had a good impression of him, everyone agreed to the marriage and expressed their support.
Finding an older man would be more caring; Ansel was indeed not mature enough. This was Summer’s opinion.
So the four of them reached an agreement to try to persuade Mr. Campell and Mrs. Campell tonight and finalize the matter.
A flash marriage was a brave thing to do, but it was also proper etiquette to inform the parents.
Thus, sitting in the courtyard of the cafe, Summer called her mother-
“Mom, Agnes is coming home for dinner tonight and she’s bringing a friend. I’m letting you know in advance,” Summer added. “I’ve already informed the kitchen; dinner will be arranged.”
“Alright, alright. I’ll go pick some fresh vegetables from the garden. The ones we planted last month are ready to eat and taste great.” Mrs. Campell loved sharing her homegrown vegetables with others.
“Okay,” Summer said. “We’ll come back together this afternoon.”
“Good, good.” Mrs. Campell was very happy; her daughter had finally returned home after being abroad for so long, which had made her uneasy.
After hanging up the phone, Summer put away her smile and looked seriously at her sister. “Agnes, you need to be prepared because Mom still wants to set you up with Ansel.”
“Ansel won’t bother me anymore,” Agnes replied. “He hasn’t contacted me for some time now. We made things very clear last time.”
Tom calmly took a sip of coffee and turned his gaze to ask, “Who is Ansel?”
Since Summer had brought up the topic, she quickly explained, “He’s just a boy who really likes Agnes. They’ve known each other since school days, but Agnes doesn’t have feelings for him. So if Ansel shows up in the future, don’t misunderstand.”
Tom wasn’t petty; he nodded understandingly with gentle eyes. He naturally understood such things.
In love, trust was paramount.
The courtyard of the cafe had a wonderful environment with warm sunlight. They also ordered some small cakes and sat there for two hours.
It was around four o’clock in the afternoon when they decided to go home and face Mr. Campell and Mrs. Campell.
Tom drove while Agnes sat in the passenger seat. They followed Spencer’s car towards his villa.
“Are you nervous?” Agnes asked as she interlaced her fingers with Tom’s and turned to look at him.
“A little bit.” Because Tom took it seriously; whenever he took something seriously, he felt a bit nervous.
Agnes asked again, “Are you really planning to get engaged again?”
“We’re not engaged,” Tom turned to look at her with a smile and asked, “Are you too deep into the role? Your parents are fake.”
