A dangerous thought

Lina walked back to her room, her mind racing. The door clicked softly behind her as she entered. She didn’t turn on the lights; she didn’t need to. The room was dark, but it didn’t matter. She sat on the edge of her bed, staring at the floor, her hands shaking with frustration.
She had failed.
She thought she had it all figured out. She was sure that if she dressed the right way and said the right things, Damian would finally notice her. He would see her for what she was. She would be the one in control. But now, she was left with nothing but humiliation. She couldn’t understand it. How could he not want her? She was beautiful, confident, everything he could ever need. Why was he so focused on Aurora?
Aurora.
The thought of the maid sent a surge of anger through Lina’s veins. She was the problem, wasn’t she? The reason Damian wasn’t looking at Lina the way he should. She was the one who kept getting in the way. Aurora didn’t belong here. She was nothing, just a maid who was lucky enough to catch Damian’s eye. And now, she was ruining everything.
Lina’s fingers tightened into fists, her nails digging into her palms as she stared at the floor. She hated Aurora. She hated how innocent and pure Aurora seemed. She hated how Damian always defended her. It was like the maid was the most important thing in the world to him. It made Lina sick.
A dangerous thought crossed Lina’s mind. Maybe she didn’t have to seduce Damian after all. Maybe there was a better way to get rid of Aurora once and for all.
What if… what if she just killed her?
The thought lingered in Lina’s mind, growing stronger with each passing second. She had never killed anyone before, but she had done plenty of things in her life that she wasn’t proud of. Taking out Aurora would solve everything. Damian would finally be free of her, and he would have no choice but to turn to Lina.
But could she actually do it? Could she take someone’s life?
Lina stood up and paced across the room. She ran a hand through her hair, trying to push the thought out of her mind, but it wouldn’t go away. It kept coming back, like a dark shadow following her every step.
“She doesn’t belong here,” Lina muttered to herself. “She’s just a maid. She’s nothing. I deserve to be the one at his side.”
The anger inside her swelled, and for a moment, it felt like the only thing that mattered was getting rid of Aurora. If Aurora wasn’t around, Lina could have Damian all to herself. No more distractions. No more competition. Just Lina and Damian, the way it was supposed to be.
But how? How would she do it? She couldn’t just walk up to Aurora and kill her. That would be too obvious. No, she would have to be smarter than that.
Lina paced around the room, her thoughts swirling. She could slip something into Aurora’s food or drink, something that would make her sick, something that would weaken her enough so that she wouldn’t be able to fight back. Then, when she was vulnerable, Lina could finish the job. It would be clean, simple. No one would ever know it was her.
But what if it didn’t work? What if Aurora survived? What if Damian found out?
Lina shook her head, trying to clear her thoughts. She couldn’t think like that. She had to stay focused. She had to get rid of Aurora, and she had to do it quickly.
She stopped pacing and turned to face the mirror. She stared at her reflection, her eyes cold and calculating. She had always been good at getting what she wanted. No one had ever been able to stand in her way for long. This would be no different.
Damian was hers. He just didn’t know it yet.
Lina took a deep breath and walked to the window. She stared out into the night, her mind made up. If Aurora wasn’t gone, she would never have Damian. And if she didn’t have Damian, nothing else mattered.
The plan was simple. She would act like everything was normal, pretend to be the perfect woman Damian wanted. Meanwhile, she would set her plan in motion. She would make sure Aurora was out of the picture.
No one could stand in Lina’s way.
She turned away from the window and walked back to her bed, her mind focused on the task ahead. She needed to be patient, to wait for the right moment. It wouldn’t take long. Once Aurora was out of the way, Damian would be hers.
She lay down on her bed, staring at the ceiling, her thoughts swirling with possibilities. But one thing was clear: she would do whatever it took to make sure Aurora never stood a chance.
