Lina had been waiting for the right moment. She’d noticed how Damian had started to pull away, how his attention was now mostly on Lina. She loved the power it gave her, but it wasn’t enough. She wanted more. She wanted him to look at her like he looked at Aurora, with desire. She wanted him to forget about the maid and want her instead.
It had been a few days since Damian started treating Aurora like a servant, ignoring her more and more. It made Lina feel like she was winning, but she wasn’t satisfied. She needed Damian to want her, to see her as the one he desired. She had to try harder.
Tonight, she had a plan. She was going to make him want her.
Lina wasn’t new to seduction. She had done this many times before, and every man had fallen for it. But Damian was different. She knew that, deep down, that’s why she had to try harder. She couldn’t fail. She needed to get his attention.
When night came, Lina dressed carefully, choosing a black dress that hugged her body perfectly. It was tight, shiny, and it made her look stunning. She fixed her hair and makeup, making sure everything was perfect. Tonight was going to be the night. She was going to make Damian want her.
She walked to his room, her heart racing. When she reached his door, she knocked softly. There was no answer. She knocked again, louder this time.
Damian didn’t expect anyone. He was sitting in his chair, staring at the fire in the hearth, lost in his thoughts. He hadn’t heard her knock until the second time. He looked up when the door opened.
Lina stood there, a slight smile on her face.
“Damian,” she said, her voice soft and sweet. “Can I come in?”
Damian looked at her, his eyes cold, but he wasn’t surprised. He didn’t show any interest. “What is it, Lina?” he asked, his voice distant.
Lina stepped inside, closing the door quietly behind her. She walked slowly towards him, swaying her hips as she moved. She stopped in front of him, leaned over just a little, and looked him in the eyes.
“I just wanted to be with you for a while,” she said softly, her voice full of sweetness. “You’ve been so distant lately. I miss you.”
Damian didn’t respond right away. He didn’t feel any excitement. His eyes scanned her, but he didn’t feel anything like desire. He felt nothing. His mind was too focused on his plans, on his strategy, and on pushing Aurora away.
Lina reached out and placed a hand on his chest. She leaned in closer, her lips near his ear.
“Don’t you want me, Damian?” she whispered, her voice low. “I can make you feel good.”
Damian didn’t move. He didn’t pull back, but he didn’t lean in either. He was still, like a wall. His eyes were cold, but Lina couldn’t see the disgust behind them. He didn’t care about her. He didn’t want her.
Finally, he grabbed her wrist, pulling her hand away from his chest, pushing her gently back. “Lina,” he said, his voice firm. “Stop.”
Lina stepped back a little, but she wasn’t ready to give up. She wasn’t used to being pushed away. She had always gotten what she wanted. And tonight, she was going to get Damian.
“What’s wrong, Damian?” she asked, a playful smile on her lips. “Why don’t you want me? Don’t you think I’m beautiful?”
Damian’s eyes narrowed, and his tone grew colder. “No,” he said, his voice like ice. “I don’t want you.”
Lina’s smile faltered. She had never been rejected like this before. It hurt more than she expected. But she wasn’t going to let it show.
“Why not?” she asked again, her voice insistent. “You’ve always wanted me. What changed?”
Damian stood up suddenly, his movements sharp. He was much taller than Lina, and when he stood, it made her feel smaller. He walked a few steps toward the window, his back to her.
“I’m not interested, Lina,” he said without looking at her. “This isn’t going to happen.”
Lina stood there, her heart pounding in her chest. She was embarrassed. She had thought that she could charm him, but all she had done was annoy him. She felt her pride hurt, but she tried to cover it up.
“You don’t know what you’re missing,” she said quietly, her voice full of challenge. “I can give you everything.”
Damian didn’t even turn around. He was already done with this. “You can leave now, Lina,” he said coldly. “I don’t have time for this.”
Lina hesitated. She couldn’t believe it. She had tried everything, but nothing worked. She had failed.
She walked to the door, her steps slow and heavy. Just before she left, she looked back at him one last time.
“I hope you know what you’re doing, Damian,” she said softly, her voice almost a whisper. “You won’t always have the chance to make your own decisions. And one day, you might regret pushing me away.”
Damian didn’t say anything. He didn’t care. He had made his decision, and he wasn’t going to change his mind.
Lina turned and walked out, the door closing behind her with a quiet click. Damian stood by the window, looking out at the night. He didn’t care about Lina’s words. He didn’t care about her at all.
What mattered now was his plan, and the woman he was trying to forget, but couldn’t. Aurora.
