Chapter 582: Bringing Someone Home

Book:Married The Day We Met Published:2024-12-16

“We found her… Madam got into Regan’s car, went to see a house, and then headed to a bar…” Anthony reported.
Nelson lifted his brooding eyes.
The bar under Jaquan’s name was famously known as a high-end entertainment district. It had women of top-notch beauty, and naturally, men of the same caliber.
The manager, upon hearing that Nelson had come in person, was so terrified that he rushed over to accompany him. With power in hand, the music in the entire building stopped quickly, and unrelated personnel were swiftly dispersed. For a moment, the bar no longer resembled a bar.
“What’s going on today? Is there an inspection? But it’s still early,” someone muttered on the side. Regan and others were also surprised, standing on tiptoe to look outside. Then she froze. Of course… besides Nelson, who else could clear out this place where everyone had money?
Nelson walked over with many staff members accompanying him, exuding an aura of sweeping through the place.
Regan quickly reacted, opened her mouth, “… We’re done for.”
As she spoke, Nelson had already walked up quickly and stood in front of her, his gaze piercing and words gritted through his teeth, “Regan, where did you take Callie?”
Regan hurriedly stepped aside, “She’s here… she’s here…”
Everyone looked back-
Callie was asleep on a seat, her sleeping posture quiet like a budding flower. Someone, perhaps a considerate man afraid she might be cold, had covered her with his coat.
Nelson’s anger ignited when he saw that coat.
“Callie, it’s morning.” He stepped forward and gently pushed Callie’s body.
Callie wasn’t deeply asleep and woke up quickly. She opened her sleepy eyes and thought she was seeing things when she saw Nelson.
Until she caught the gloom in his eyes.
“… Why are you here?” Callie stood up, rubbed her eyes, looking innocent.
Nelson’s anger grew, and he gripped her hand tightly, “You made me search everywhere.”
Regan, behind Nelson, secretly signaled to Callie.
Callie looked around at the quiet environment and instantly sobered up, “… I came to the wrong place. I was supposed to go to another salon with the same name. Let’s go home.”
A very poor excuse, so poor that no one had the heart to expose it.
Nelson stared at her but didn’t want to make a scene in front of so many people. He bent down and picked her up, walking out past everyone.
“Let’s go home.”
The bar manager watched Nelson’s back, his legs almost giving out.
He couldn’t understand what Mrs. Oconnor was thinking, coming to such a place. Did she have an issue with his place and wanted to use Nelson to tear it down?
Regan clasped her hands together, “Callie, I’m sorry…”
Then she turned around and asked, “Who was the idiot that covered her with that coat?”
Nelson directly threw Callie into the car and drove faster than Regan.
Callie tried to suppress the discomfort in her stomach and explained in a flustered voice carried by the wind, “Don’t be angry.”
Nelson’s face was dark as he drove faster and faster.
“Nelson, I don’t feel well,” she said calmly.
The car stopped at the entrance of Paucaster Villa. Nelson turned his head slightly, frowning deeply, “Why didn’t you tell me and just left with Regan?”
In the dim light, as Nelson turned his head, Callie inexplicably felt he looked exactly like in the photos.
