Chapter 107
Lilia’s Pov
Raven stood up to check on him but I stopped him instead.
“I’ll go Raven.”
“No Lilia, let him be for now. He’s not too cool.”
“Why?” I asked with a frown and he swallowed. “But it’s cool for you to see him instead?”
“That’s not it Lilia, I’ve known the Alpha for a while now and I know when he needs the space.”
I ignored him and pushed the chair to the back to get up.
” Then I need to know my mate too the same way you know almost everything about him,” I said feeling jealous and he sighed, placing his mid finger on his forehead and watching him leave.
“You think he’s fine? I think you should listen to Raven Lilia, mate might need the space.” My wolf whimpered softly and I shook my head refusing that and tracing his scent outside.
“My mate must not need the space around me, I need to know why he reacted that way at the mention of marking me. Don’t you feel bothered? He even kissed that bitch!” I felt mad, and walked deeper going outside the gate and following his scent in the dark woods which suddenly got me scared.
Why would he leave the Mansion to be in the woods in such a short time?
I walked faster, his scent only got stronger and stronger until I stopped and froze at the spot.
“Alexander?” I shook and found my breath seizing at that moment, I couldn’t breathe. I didn’t want to believe what I was seeing or what the hell was transforming before me.
It wasn’t true right, Alex didn’t just have such a back. He’s a wolf, right?
I kept asking myself rhetorical questions and his bones snapped back to normal, his claws became hidden but his ragged tortuous breathing didn’t stop.
He sounded as if he was hurting, as if something was burning him up and he was going to get consumed from the deepest part of his soul.
“Lex?” I called again and he snapped.
“Go back, Lilia!”
“What’s wrong with you? Why did.. did you have such a back? What’s wrong with you?” I asked him shakily, I wasn’t scared at the moment, but extremely worried for him.
Why was he sounding as if he was in pain?
I walked towards him and touched his bare tanned and smooth back but I was flung so hard with his back hand that I fell backwards with a scream.
“Lex!” I cried in horror and shifted backward from him when he turned to face me and I gasped in horror that shook my entire bones.
“I said stay back!” He yelled and I trembled.
His eyes were bloodshot red with tiny black scales that danced around them, he looked scary, and his claws were out again and so damn strange from that of a wolf.
He looked like the same person I was afraid of months ago after Killing Ryker with his bare hands.
He was so scary but beautiful, or should I call him sexy now that he’s shirtless?
A beautiful demon!
“Lex… it’s me. What’s wrong with you? Why are you like this?” I asked him, feeling disturbed and stubborn.
I just wanted to be sure he was okay and touch him again but he fell to the ground and groaned in a heart-wrenching pain that stabbed my chest and soul.
“Alexander! What the fuck is wrong with you.” I cried in agony and yelled at him, rushing to touch him but he pushed me away hard.
“Stay away from me!” He roared.
“Like hell I will, I’m not moving an inch.”
“Argh!!” He clutched his head in pain and I began to cry in fear, not knowing what to do. Seeing him in his weakest painful moments was the worst feeling I could ever have, it was worse than death itself and I didn’t want to see it. I want it to end before I run mad.
I crawled and knelt before him, this wasn’t Lex and I didn’t care what he did to me because all I’m seeing is an agonized soul that needed help and freedom from pain.
“Let go!” He growled and I shook my head.
“If hurting me will reduce the pain, then hurt me, do that so that I can stop seeing you this way!” I sniffed and wrapped my hands around his neck, hugging and Patting his back softly.
His body was hot like fire and soaked in sweat, he groaned hard as he was surprised by the pain or something else and my hands combed his hair, rubbing it smoothly.
“It’s okay Lex, whatever it is…it would be fine,” I whispered and he let loose, hugging me back tightly, trying to calm his breath but groaned in pain again.
“It hurts flower..” his deep agonized voice made hot tears dripped down my cheeks and I sniffed so hard and tried not to burst into tears.
What was hurting him, who the hell is making him feel this way?
“Where Lex? Where does It hurt?” I kissed his hair and he groaned, writhing and trying to let his head rest on my body or hands, feeling so restless and uncomfortable.
“I’m sorry..” I whispered and caressed his hair and head, making sure I did that thoroughly. His body shook, his face got buried in my chest and his arms were securely wrapped around me.
“You’ll be fine Lex, I’ll make sure of that. Please stay fine with us.” I begged and let my warmth cover every part of his head and body, his body relaxed, his shallow breathing became normal and soon enough, he fell asleep on my body and that was how we went to spend our first night in the woods till dawn.

Seraphina’s pov
Thirty minutes ago….
“You’re hurting him!” I yelled at the woman whose eyes looked like brimstone while chanting Alexander’s name like a mantra and she glared.
“The aim is to kill him so don’t interrupt me!”
“That wasn’t the plan, you’re letting your anger take the better part of you and it would result badly. Just because you have the powers in him doesn’t mean he can’t fight it or figure it through!”
“And you’re defending him because he loves you?” She scoffed mockingly and I swallowed.
“I’ve never said that, but I want him for me. I want him for myself and I prefer you stick to the first plan.”
She yelled at me that I got so shaken and shut my eyes.
“They got my son!!” He’s now a wanted personality all over the country all thanks to the bitch and Alex has locked him in a basement too! He’s going to kill him and you tell me to calm down, they are going to ruin my son! The only reason I’m still living is going to be taken away from me? Don’t tell me to calm down,
I’ll make sure he kills his mate and dies, recording a wonderful history in Midnight Shade!”
“And the demon powers you’ve always wanted would be a waste? You’ll wait for years to have something at the dire minute only to throw it all on because of anger?”
“Felix is..”
“He’s not dead! And if you give me a chance on the full moon day, I’ll do as you’ve said and even kill his Lycan wolf! What’s worse than an Alpha, not having his powers to rule his people!” I asked her and she thought for a while.
The humiliation itself can kill.”
“That should be the aim and nothing else. Let’s not deviate from the plan because of an obstacle, I promise to be with Alexander and be with him during the full moon. Don’t kill him yet.”
I convinced her and she shrugged.
“If you fail, I’ll Kill you and send you back to the grave before doing my own thing,” she told me and I shivered while I nodded in response.
“Could it be that he’s getting stronger than the powers?” I frowned at her question.
“I was barely having access to his body, especially his membrane which was usual in triggering his pain. It felt as if something was blocking it.” She explained and I didn’t understand it. I didn’t want to know.
All I knew was the fact that things were getting out of hand and not as smooth as before.
If I don’t stay with Alexander during the full moon, I’m fucked up.
By the time I reached the pack, I wasn’t allowed to have access to the mansion. Guards blocked the entrance and my heart slammed against my ribcage at such an act. I might not be Luna of the Pack but I’m an important personality and this was unexpected.
” What’s the meaning of this insult?” I glared sharply at the men blocking my way and and they were adamant.
“Orders from Luna, you’re not allowed into the main house anymore or anywhere around the pack but if you insist, you can stay in the maid’s quarters.” They said without any iota of respect and I saw a red vision of anger replaying right before me.
“That’s bullshit! I won’t tolerate such an insult. Leave my way at this moment, I want to speak with the Alpha!”
“That’s not happening, you’re not allowed in here and that’s final. Don’t make it so hard if we’ll throw you out!” I scoffed at them aloud and felt so frustrated.
“How dare you say that to me, I’m still Luna and immune to any bullshit orders!”
“No one crowned you Luna except in your dreams.” One of them said and they chuckled. “We are respecting you because of the Gamma, so kindly leave before we lose that respect and throw you out!”
I can’t believe this is happening, why would that bitch throw me out at the dire Minute of my life!
I refused to be humiliated in this form, I’d rather hear this from the Alpha himself than listen to the bullshit of these people.
“If you dare lay your hands on me I’ll report to the Priestess that you’re trying to rape and defile me!” I yelled and they all gasped shifting backwards.
“I’ll need to hear this rubbish from Alexander himself before I’ll agree to such nonsense!” I pushed them off my way and made my way inside the house with hefty steps.
Aside from saying this shit, I wanted to see him and know how he’s faring. The last time his powers were triggered, he cried in pain for hours and I was there to keep him cool but I couldn’t say anything for now because this one wasn’t the full moon trigger but from the witch.
Lilia came out and I stiffened at her presence. I know it was still early in the morning but what was it with the provocative dress that exposed every part of her body?
“What are you doing here?” She was bold.
Wow! Life must have taught her some lessons to stand before me and look fierce.
“I’m not here to see you, get the fuck out of my way.”
“Then who the hell are you here to see? Who the fuck permitted you in here you sly witch?”
“When you become the Alpha, I’ll answer you but for now, vanish from my sight!”
“You’re fucking stupid! The fact that you think you’ll pass me by to see my husband is something a Psychopath would do.”
I could feel the anger in her voice but mine was hotter as I lashed out.
“You’re married on a contract you silly cursed rogue!” I yelled and what followed was a hot pepperish slap that made me scream.
“How dare y” She slapped me again this time, the hit was so fierce that my mouth bled and I was shocked at the impact of her strength. It made me staggered that if I wasn’t strong I would have fallen. I growled in anger and swore to scratch the eyes with my claws when I felt a hard hand on my arm.
“Stop being stupid Seraphina!” Jethro hissed and she glared at the both of us, staring in disdain.
“As from now henceforth, you both are barred from entering the main mansion! Take your sister and get the fuck out of this room!” Jethro glared and balled his fist in rage but didn’t say it through his words.
“I serve the Alpha and listen to his words alone, your authority has no effect…Luna?
She smiled and nodded at my brother. “Oh really? Let’s see then, would the Alpha choose you or my brother? Or will he listen to my word or yours?” She chuckled and shrugged.
“That should be your answer, Jethro, please leave Already, you’re infecting my home with lies, facade, and wicked hypocrisy!”
She spat out in Venom and left, she was sexy as hell and it made me extremely mad.
“I’ll kill her, Jethro! It isn’t a threat. It’s what I’m going to do.”
