Jethro’s Pov
It’s been three days since I called the Alpha to ask about his Luna and her preferences in a person because I was getting fed up with her cold attitude towards me. Right from the first day she set her eyes one, looking like a damsel in distress, she was cold, feisty and didn’t gave a fuck about.
She’s beautiful, like damn those eyes are mesmerizing reminding me of my sister. Seraphina was beautiful, had freckles on her face and had a faint hazel color in her eyes but Lilia was fucking incredible. I hate to do this, compare her with my dead sister but this is the lady taking over my sister’s position, taking her mate. So, I couldn’t help it.
Her skin had never been flawless than silk, creamy and milky and it was wrong to stare at her like that. It’s not nice and her cold demeanor was pushing me to get even curious about this mysterious woman who was being tagged as a rogue.
She’s had it rough since she stepped her Foot in here, I could feel it from the depths of my heart that the chief Priestess dislikes her the same way she did. She didn’t hide it and Tessy was another case I couldn’t decipher.
“What’s up buddy, why are you standing like that looking lost.” Raven’s cousin asked me, walking closer with a grin and I sighed.
“I don’t know, it’s the Luna. I think she hates me so much as if I’ve done something bad to her.” I expressed myself, feeling irritated at my feelings.
“Well, it’s of no use now. She won’t bother anymore as it’s damn clear she doesn’t belong to here or to the pack.” I whipped my gaze towards him instantly and frowned.
“What do you mean by that?”
“She was summoned by Alpha Wilson and Alveria, I thought you were aware.” His brows raised in scrutiny and I nodded
“I’m damm aware of that, she went there for her second test and I hope she passes this soon.” I said sincerely, I really hope she does whether she was Rogue or not. Last night scene broke me, I didn’t know when happened between the Alpha Felix and her but It wasn’t good and it didn’t end well.
Goddess! The blood and pain in her eyes was so much for her pretty face to handle but she acted so brave and brushed it out, acting extremely cold again towards my gestures and I felt bad. All I wanted to do was follow Alpha Alexander’s orders, why does she hates me so much.
Or was she insecure about my Presence?
“Nah, that’s shit. She’s been taken to the Wood of Black Wolves!” My Jaw drops instantly, my heart somersaulted into bolt of angry thumps and I glared.
“What??”
“It’s the Alpha’s order, that would be a last test to know if she’s truly a rogue.”
“Fucking stupid, that’s Babaric. She’s going to die!” I yell and ruffled my hair walking towards the Royal Mansion and he walked after me.
“But that’s if only she’s a rogue, as a wolf, she would only be unconscious from the wolves attack.” He tried to reason his words with me but I pushed the door and I saw just The Finance officer and her daughter.
“They are gone Jethro, can you chill?”
I turned to him sharply and yell. “Alpha Alexander will kill me, I was supposed tell him every damn thing that goes on with his Luna. A pin shouldn’t happen and you’re telling me to chill.”
Ethan twitched his lips but still followed me around as I struggled to look for them.
“You’re doing too much, don’t you think that this might be the possibility to prove that she’s truly a rogue?
You are going to save the Alpha some stress and let your sister’s legacy lives on till someone else takes over.”
I couldn’t believe his words right now, his eyes blinked when I glared at him and he shifted backwards.
“Atleast, Raven would have tried to convince the Alpha not to take her and he would have listened. That’s why Raven would always have an upper place here.” he dropped the bombshell of words I detested hearing and my ears became hot in anger.
“I’m following orders, not convincing him to kill an innocent person and since your cousin is the best, then you should have a place in the line of authority ” he swallowed and shrugged.
“I don’t need to.”.
“No, you need to or you’re considered useless and not even worth to be a pack member you fool!” I blasted at him and a flash of hurt and embarrassment lingered in his eyes which gave me the satisfaction I needed.
“Now get the fuck out of my way!” He hissed hard at me and Huffed.
“As if you can change the Alpha President’s will.”
He reminded me and I cursed. But why would he even order her to go to such a deadly place?
Wood of Black Wolves was a place for Ex powerful Alpha’s who were exiled and turned rogue. They feasted on cursed rogue, they were starved, thirsty and confined till death.
The place has been available for past centuries and rogues were always thrown in there, rumors had it they they tear such Rogues to pieces in their wolf form and ate them.
It was scary because no rogue has ever gone there and stayed alive. She was too fragile for such an experience, belonging to Alpha Alexander!”
I shook my head and headed towards one of the cars to drive immediately and go towards the direction of the place, hoping to reach there before them even though my presence is practically useless but the gate slid open and the tinted black Porsche car drove inside smoothly. It stopped at the entrance and the passenger’s door opened.
“Raven!!” Ethan twitched in excitement and walked faster to hug his cousin who pushed him aside with a glare and I sucked in a breath or relief.
“It’s just a hug bro!” Ethan scoffed but Raven remained Raven. Stone faced, strikingly handsome with his ginger sun hair which now covered a part of his ash dark eyes. His outfit looked as if he came from a model shoot and I burned with Jealousy.
Alpha Alexander lets him have anything and everything but I ran most of the errands like a pauper and was paid less attention to..
“Jethro?” He called casually and forced a smile. “You seem off, you good?”
I didn’t give a reply and he didn’t care, as always but something seemed off about him and it was really really strange. Raven smiled and collected the bags from the driver who stretched what seemed like an ice cream package, other items that smelt so good.
“Thanks” He told him and smiled and turned to Ethan while approaching the entrance of the mansion.
“Is Luna in, asleep or ”
“She’s going to die!” Ethan cuts him off and he froze.
“Is that supposed to be a joke?” He asked Ethan coldly, switching instantly to his dead tone and Ethan apologized.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to get you upset. It’s just that she might die, she’s being taken to the Woods of Black Wolves and ”
The bag slipped off the Beta hands in shock. Wow! Another rare reaction from this motherfucking stone. He turned to look at me and I gulped.
“Tell me it’s not true?” His voice didn’t waver a bit and it was beginning to look as if he was overreacting.
“I just heard it too but I swear I didn’t know, she was summoned for her second test and right now, I was about to call the Alpha and”
“Don’t you dare!” He thundered and moved swiftly to the car and the bag of ice-cream was spilled to the floor, quickly melting from the heat of the sun.
“Of all places on earth, why such a deadly place?” Raven cursed and slammed the door shut and I rushed to open it as I didn’t want to miss whatever he wanted to do.
He kept cursing and muttering harsh words, driving out like a maniac and I really hope that Luna was okay. In a fleets of minutes. We were in a dark lonely path covered with leaves that had formed a carpet. The sun was hidden and the tall thick trees covered the dense forest.
Raven came out of the car and ran deeper without closing the door, I followed suit despite getting creepy with such an abandoned thick place and we met Alveria and the guards on the way. Dread and goose filled my skin when Lilia wasn’t with her and Raven paused to take a deep breath.
“What are you doing here Raven?” She asked with surprise lacing her tone.
“Where’s Luna?” He cuts in immediately and she frowned.
“She won’t be out till tomorrow, she has to stay in the Woods of”
“No Priestess, it’s not going to happen. No one would survive it, in there.”
“Now that’s rude Raven, I will expect nothing but respect this instant.” She glared at him and he bowed, which was too sarcastic to my sight.
“I’m sorry ” He murmured and she sighed. “But I’m saying that Luna , isn’t going to spend a second in there!”
She scoffed in disbelief.
