Contracted to the Wrong Alpha
Chapter 8
***
Lex’s Pov
My Father could feel the abrupt change in my reaction and the room was now buzzing with confused look and stares thrown at my direction.
If Embarrassment was a word I could spell and craft in a different way, I would make it so bold and unique.
The White Crisp Pack Alpha was here, Jax Nevermore and his other council. The President of Russia was present with his son who were actually enjoying the show of seeing my flustered and confused face and my blood flowed hotly.
I want the moons to tell me that Lilia Tyson didn’t stood me up at the Altar of great personalities and leave. The air became thick with the smell of raw anger and my eyes clashed with Sherry’s gaze who flinched without doing anything. She didn’t needed me to tell her to come over before she stood up and took graceful steps to meet me.
“I’ll be back Dad, I apologize for this mess.” I told him shamefully and walked out on him, feeling his hot burning stare on me. The Press were already here and reporting to the whole world that the President’s son who was stood up at a wedding was the most shameful thing that has happened in the history of New York.
The Packs would definitely mock me especially that of White Crisp, my ego would be crushed and most importantly I might be rejected as the Alpha at the Blue Moon festival if I’m not with my Luna.
My canines itched to be out and I could feel my lungs constrict with my throat to let out a loud yell and a growl.
Raven sensed the situation and was already outside to meet me while Sherry took slow shaky steps.
“She’s not here Lex, what are you going to do?”
“She will be here!” I growled and stared sharp at him with my claws visibly out to destroy. Lilia messed with the wrong Alpha!
“I don’t know where she lives, how do I find her?” He asked, going straight to the point which is why I liked him. Raven had a quiet, Stern and strict nature. He could wait till you’re about to die before he saves your ass. He’s smart and calculative and doesn’t rush to do something drastic, hating my brother’s gut over and over again.
He loosenes up at times to me but I only get to see that on rare occasions. He acts as if his personality hides a dark secret that might hurt others if he tends to loosen his true self.
I love him nonetheless, he could be quiet as a stone but I’ll choose him over a loud worthless man.
“I’ll ask Seline about her last meeting, Fuck! I can’t believe I’ll be so careless. I thought she wanted” I balled my fingers into a tight fist as I recalled how she begged me, the hurt in her eyes could melt any soul to listen to her demands but not me. Mine was cold and dead and messing with me would lead her in great trouble even if I don’t do anything, the Pack would it’s an embarrassing sight and Midnight Shade adores respect and honor.
“I don’t know where she is Alpha ” Selina spurted even before I asked and I smiled darkly.
“Did you see her this morning when you went over there?”
“No, her butler took it from me ” My frown deepened.
“You didn’t see her wear the dress?” This time around, I couldn’t recognise my own voice. It was laced with bitterness and fury that could make me kill right now.
What was she scared of? I’m good looking and I definitely top the chart without a fact. I’m rich and I don’t care who she fucks if that’s her headache, she get some split of profit and her father would be promoted. After six months we’ll go our separate ways but she fucking fled!!
As if I’m so ugly or irritating!
Fuck! This is so not going to be good.
“I’m sorry Alpha, she didn’t even wanted to look at my face and ”
A sleek Lamborghini drove in making her stop midway her sentence and the front door of the car was opened by the driver. A beautiful lady which I presumed to be a chief bridesmaid, stepped out and we all let out a sigh of relief when a lady in a long white dress followed suit.
“Keep your claws in and go get married, she’s here.” Raven said curtly and I nodded, turning my heels to the hall when I saw her height.
Except she’s using a high mountain to walk, there was something off about her and I won’t let her enter that hall to finish me off.
“Find Lilia, Raven. This is not her!” I growled within, every step I took to this bride arrayed with an ivory embellished Lace dress made my heart thump in anger and the press were already gathered causing my blood to Boil. Her face was well covered and veiled and she smelt too sweet, if not an over use of deodorant.
Xander took over me and I got lost in rage, this girl thinks I’m stupid.
I dragged the veil off her face without saying a word to discover that she was even in tears.
“Where’s she?” I asked her harshly and she gulped, her lips vibrated as she speaks.
“She already left for San Francisco this morning, I’m sorry Alpha.” She vibrated and I sunk my claws deep in my laps to calm myself down only to feel cold liquid seeped down the fabric and earning a sharp gasp.
I forgot I was wearing a white Tux, the blood stains were so visible and the crowd turned to an uproar that I was cutting myself with sharp object because of heartbreak.
“Which Airport did she use?”
She told me and I gave Raven a nod to get there, book a flight and get to San Francisco. She won’t escape from me.
Wedding is over for now but a deadly journey just began.
