“Billy, do you want to go invisible and wander around the city? Maybe you’ll see Miss Sanaa!” After the other party left, Purple Spirit’s voice echoed in Billy’s mind.
“Forget it,” Billy responded. “If Miss Sanaa was really captured by them, they wouldn’t let us find her so easily. Let’s wait until their people come.”
“Alright,” Purple Spirit replied. “But I always felt that Miss Sanaa wouldn’t be captured so easily. Could she have let the Dark Court capture her on purpose?”
“I’m not sure,” Billy shook his head. He wasn’t sure, but he shared Purple Spirit’s suspicion. Sanaa had always given him a mysterious feeling; she shouldn’t be captured so easily. But if she let the Dark Court capture her on purpose, what was her goal?
Soon, footsteps sounded at the door, and an elderly woman in a green robe walked in, followed by the gray-robed elder from before.
“I’ve long heard of Mr. Billy’s great name, a pleasure to meet you!” The green-robed woman spoke while scanning Billy with her spiritual power.
“You’re too kind,” Billy smiled faintly. The other party was undoubtedly one of the so-called Divine Sovereigns, with an eighth-rank Mystic Kun Realm cultivation.
“Mr. Billy came for Miss Sanaa?” asked the elderly woman named Joslyn Oneal.
“You guessed right,” Billy smiled. “Tell me your conditions. What do I need to do to see Miss Sanaa?”
“Mr. Billy is joking!” Joslyn Oneal also smiled. “Miss Sanaa is our guest. Mr. Billy can see her anytime. However, she is currently discussing something with the Hall Lord. I’ll take you to her later.”
“Thank you,” Billy responded after a moment of surprise.
“Mr. Billy is too polite!” Joslyn Oneal continued, “I heard Mr. Billy has obtained three volumes of the Heaven Book?”
“Do you want them?” Billy asked.
“Mr. Billy, don’t be nervous. I have no interest in the Heaven Book. I know my own talent; even if I had the Heaven Book, I wouldn’t comprehend anything from it,” Joslyn Oneal replied.
After a brief pause, she continued, “I heard the Abyssal Clan’s eldest daughter has already approached Mr. Billy. If I’m not mistaken, she promised to give Mr. Billy a volume of the Heaven Book?”
“Your information is quite accurate,” Billy responded with surprise, not expecting them to know even this.
“I guessed it,” Joslyn Oneal smiled. “Her condition should be for Mr. Billy to help her rescue someone, right?”
“You guessed that too?” Billy asked.
“If you take my advice, you’d better not agree to her,” Joslyn Oneal didn’t directly answer Billy’s question. “Because if you go to rescue that person, you might not come back.”
“So you know where that person is being held?” Billy pressed.
“The place where that person is held…” Joslyn Oneal began but was interrupted by a loud explosion that shook the entire palace.
“Hmm?” Joslyn Oneal frowned slightly and looked at Billy. “Mr. Billy, excuse me for a moment.”
She then quickly walked out the door.
“Mr. Billy, please wait here. The Divine Sovereign will be back soon,” the gray-robed elder said to Billy.
“I’m going out to see what’s happening,” Billy interrupted and walked towards the door.
“Mr. Billy, please understand, the Divine Sovereign instructed that you stay here for now,” the gray-robed elder stepped in front of Billy.
“Do you think you can stop me?” Billy asked.
“Duty calls…” the gray-robed elder replied but was cut off by a flash of Slaughter Sky blade light from Billy’s hand.
The gray-robed elder’s pupils contracted as he quickly blocked with a punch. Their attacks collided, sending the gray-robed elder flying out of the doorway.
He was only a fifth-rank Mystic Kun Realm and couldn’t withstand Billy’s blade light. This was even without Billy intending to kill; otherwise, just one Slaughter Sky would have been enough to destroy his body.
After sending the gray-robed elder flying with one strike, Billy quickly walked outside.
In no time, he was in mid-air and saw a familiar figure ahead-Sanaa! Opposite her stood an elderly man in a black robe with an unpleasant expression.
The man was none other than Romeo Osborn, the current Hall Lord of the Dark Court and a ninth-rank Mystic Kun Realm expert!
Between them, a massive black hole in the void emitted large amounts of dark matter.
At the same time, dozens of figures quickly flew up from below the city, all Mystic Kun Realm experts from the Dark Court, including three Divine Sovereigns like Joslyn Oneal.
“Miss Sanaa!” Billy flew towards Sanaa.
“You arrived quite quickly!” Sanaa smiled at Billy. From her expression, it was clear she had anticipated his arrival; there was no surprise on her face.
“Miss Sanaa, you knew I would come?” Billy was taken aback.
“What do you think?” Sanaa glanced at him while roughly assessing his cultivation level. “Still too weak; after all this time, you’re only at seventh-rank Controlled Kun Realm!”
Billy thought: If I remember correctly, when we last parted ways, I was only at second-rank Controlled Kun Realm? In less than two months, I’ve jumped five small levels-isn’t that enough?
“Those two Dragon Void Fruits haven’t been refined yet?” Sanaa added. “Find some time to refine them and try to break through quickly!”
“Alright,” Billy nodded and asked, “Miss Sanaa, did you come to the Dark Court for something?”
“We’ll talk later,” Sanaa replied and then looked at Romeo Osborn. “So, have you considered what I said earlier?”
“So you did let us capture you on purpose!” Romeo Osborn’s face turned dark. “But you overestimate yourself; do you think you’ll leave the Dark Court alive?”
“Didn’t understand me?” Sanaa continued, “Do you agree or not with what I said earlier? My temper isn’t good; don’t force me to get angry-the consequences will be severe!”
“Who gave you the courage to come to the Dark Court seeking death!” Another Divine Sovereign in a blue robe angrily addressed Sanaa and then turned to Billy. “You must have come here on your own too? Do you think we’re too naive or that we’ve been inactive for so long that you’ve forgotten what the Dark Court is like?”
“Too much nonsense!” Sanaa interrupted him. “I’ll give you a chance: if you can defeat Billy, I’ll let you live.”
“Ridiculous!” The blue-robed Divine Sovereign sneered coldly. “A mere seventh-rank Controlled Kun Realm-only Quincy Osborn would fall at his hands!”
“A half-step into ninth-rank Mystic Kun Realm-can you handle it?” Sanaa turned to Billy.
“I can give it a try,” Billy smiled faintly.
“Then kill him!” Sanaa commanded.
