Billy decided not to trouble the group any further. He took a small vial filled with soul water from his storage ring and drank it all in one gulp.
“Mr. Billy, what did you just drink?” Quincy Osborn asked, slightly surprised.
“Soul water,” Billy replied.
Quincy Osborn gasped. Soul water, something so rare and precious, was used by Billy to quench his thirst?
As Quincy Osborn marveled, Billy’s eyes narrowed slightly. The space before him began to twist, forming a vortex within moments. Clearly, he had consumed the soul water to perform the Space Translocation Art.
“Mr. Billy, what is this?” Quincy Osborn asked, stunned by the sight.
“Have you heard of the Translocation Art?” Billy smiled faintly.
“Space travel?” Quincy Osborn asked, still in shock. “Like tearing through the void?”
“Something like that,” Billy responded. “From now on, you’re free.”
With that, he walked towards the vortex.
Quincy Osborn stood there in disbelief, his soul in turmoil. A seventh-rank Controlled Kun Realm cultivator could tear through space? Who would believe it if they hadn’t seen it?
“If you’re in a hurry, you can come with me,” Billy added as he reached the vortex.
Quincy Osborn thought about it but knew his soul would likely disintegrate if he entered. Unless Billy protected him with a barrier, which seemed unlikely.
“Mr. Billy, see you at the Dark Court!” Quincy Osborn called out loudly.
“Goodbye,” Billy replied before disappearing into the vortex.
Soul water truly was a remarkable thing. With its help, Billy could stay in the translocation longer than usual. The bottle he drank was enough to support his journey to the star domain near the Dark Court. It was his first time using the Space Translocation Art effectively, and he was pleased with the results. What would have taken three or four days of flying took only a few hours.
Although he was still far from the abilities of the great powers, he was content. He believed that with time and increased cultivation, he could traverse different star domains directly.
After a brief rest, Billy continued towards the Dark Court. According to Quincy Osborn’s information, it was still several thousand miles away.
Shortly after setting off, a rift appeared in the void nearby, and two women emerged-Kallie Lowery and Sage.
“Mr. Billy, we meet again,” Kallie Lowery greeted with a smile.
“How did you know I was here?” Billy asked, surprised.
He quickly realized, “You also came from Shadowfen City?”
“Yes,” Kallie Lowery smiled again.
“Alright,” Billy shrugged. He didn’t need to ask; they had likely learned of his whereabouts from Quincy Osborn. Whether Quincy Osborn’s soul was still intact wasn’t his concern. He had heard of conflicts between the Abyssal Clan and the Dark Court.
“Mr. Billy, are you planning to rescue someone from the Dark Court alone?” Kallie Lowery asked.
“What else?” Billy responded.
“Mr. Billy, the Hall Lord of the Dark Court is a ninth-rank Mystic Kun Realm cultivator, and there are three eighth-rank Mystic Kun Realm Divine Sovereigns. Do you stand a chance?” Sage inquired.
“We’ll see,” Billy shrugged again.
“If you trust me, I can have someone rescue Miss Sanaa for you,” Kallie Lowery offered.
“Thanks for the offer, but I’ll handle it myself,” Billy interrupted her. “I’m in a hurry. Goodbye!”
With that, he sped off.
Kallie Lowery wanted to say more but decided against it.
“Miss Kallie, do you think Miss Sanaa Schroeder was really captured by the Dark Court or is there another reason?” Sage asked.
“I’m not sure,” Kallie Lowery shook her head slightly. “I can’t read her, but I have a feeling that her capture by the Dark Court isn’t good.”
“I have the same feeling,” Sage nodded. “Should we follow him?”
“No, let’s wait here,” Kallie Lowery decided after some thought. “Without a guide, we can’t enter the Dark Court’s base.”
“Alright,” Sage agreed.
Two quarters of an hour later, Billy stopped. According to Quincy Osborn’s information, the Dark Court’s base should be nearby. However, all he saw was an endless star domain with nothing special about it.
“Are you Mr. Billy?” an elderly voice called out as an old man in gray robes approached from a distance.
“Are you from the Dark Court?” Billy asked calmly.
He knew that Paul Bennett and his group had likely informed their base of his arrival, so it was no surprise that someone from the Dark Court was waiting for him. They had captured Sanaa to lure him here, and now that he had come willingly, they were naturally welcoming him.
“Yes,” the old man replied.
“Lead the way,” Billy instructed.
“Please follow me,” the old man gestured politely and led Billy forward.
After about fifteen minutes, they stopped again. The old man flipped his wrist, producing a sharp sword that cut open a rift in the void ahead.
“Mr. Billy, please follow me,” the old man said as he entered the rift.
“Alright,” Billy replied and followed him inside.
“Mr. Billy truly lives up to being an Eternal Prodigy,” the old man remarked as they walked. “Tearing through space without protection would severely damage anyone below Mystic Kun Realm, but you seem unaffected. Impressive!”
“Heh,” Billy chuckled softly.
Soon, they emerged from another part of the void. Ahead of them was a massive air vortex suspended in mid-air.
The old man formed seals with his hands and sent them towards the vortex’s center. A door of indeterminate material appeared, hundreds of meters tall and wide. As it materialized, Billy felt a significant increase in pressure and aura around him.
They approached the door, and after sending another intricate seal, it opened from within. Billy followed the old man inside as the door closed behind them.
The scene before him was entirely different from the outside world-a moderately sized city floating in mid-air surrounded by lush forests.
“Mr. Billy, please wait here while I fetch Divine Sovereign,” the old man said after leading Billy to a hall in a palace.
“Go ahead,” Billy shrugged in response.
