Roy’s POV
Wow! She was hot. Seeing her fight Evelyn, I was proud of her, and she was my type. She showed off the Luna aura when speaking to her. I silently watched as she sent her flying away. She was strong.
“I like her, and I’m proud my mate isn’t a pushover,” my ditched wolf said.
“Yes, I’m proud of her the most. I hope she can accept me if she gets to know I’m a werewolf alpha. I finally got to know her strength. She will rule beside me. She shall share the honor and my pack with me,” I told Lucifer, my inner wolf.
I would never reject her. I didn’t care whether she was a human or not. I must have her beside me.
Lucifer howled in sadness when our mate told Evelyn we were not worthy of her. Not even to talk of lifting her shoes.
“Does she abhor us so much?” he asked. “I told you to be nice to her.”
“I am nice to her. I never fought, threatened or hurt her in any way. I’m such a sweet guy towards her,” I stated.
“You’re sweet towards her, and yet another female came fighting my mate. Is that the way of showing her your sweetness?” he roared.
“Calm down. I’m sorry,” I quickly apologized.
“Don’t tell me that. I’m going to kill that bitch who provoked my mate,” he declared.
“No, stop. See? She fainted already,” I tried to console Lucifer. “Look at her. Our mate is hot. She already sent her the send-off package.”
“But my mate abhors me,” he howled in grief. “What should we do now?”
“I will try my best to make her love us, and my birthday is coming up.”
“What does your birthday have to do with any of this?” Lucifer inquired. “Have you ever celebrated your birthday, even since you were an alpha?”
“I will celebrate it because of her, and I’m going to invite her and her sister to my party. I will confess my love to her. I hope she accepts me.”
“Good, good. This is the first time you’ve been reasonable, Roy.”
“So, am I not a reasonable person before?” I questioned, raising my brow. “Won’t you forsake me for our mate, you horny wolf?”
“I will forsake you. She is my mate, and I love her,” he said as he crawled back to the back of my head.

Ava’s POV
“I’m pissed off, sister. Why would that bitch come for me? Just because I’m friends with him? I regret being friends with him in the first place. I hate Roy, and I don’t want to see him again in my life!” she angrily affirmed as she kept talking without stopping.
“Oliver, can you stop talking for a minute? The same thing happened to me, remember? The bitch who wanted to beat me up because of Ethan and Aiden, but she never expected me to beat her up instead. Try to understand. Those girls are just in love with hot guys like Roy. I’m sure he has nothing to do with her,” I advised my furious sister.
“Exactly,” we heard Roy’s voice, who appeared out of nowhere. “I don’t even know her. Please believe me, Oliver, and I’m sorry for everything that happened,” he apologized.
“Sorry, my ass. I’m furious,” she grumbled, throwing a punch at his face.
“Oh, my goodness!” I covered my mouth with my palm. “Oliver, calm down!”
“What are you talking about? Not up to this humiliation I went through. My name is being thrown into the mud all because of this playboy!” she fired back.
“I’m sorry,” Roy managed to say. “Forgive me, Oliver.”
I was speechless and suspicious of Roy’s gentleness towards my sister. Was he in love with her or what?
“Oliver,” Roy called after her as she angrily walked again.
“Roy, come back. I will help you talk to her. I’m sorry. Please forgive her.”
“I’m not angry. After all, she is my mate,” Roy said, still holding his nose.
Mate? Ethan and Aiden once said the same word. What was mate? Was it an item? I muttered to myself.
“I have to go now. She must be waiting for me,” I bid him goodbye.
“Okay, you can go. See you later, Ava,” he said. “Please remember to help me apologize to her.”
“Oliver, you should never have done that. He’s our friend, and he said he didn’t know her,” I said as I walked towards her, trying to calm her down.
“Believe him if you want. I don’t believe him,” she retorted.
“Please do, and I want you to apologize to him,” I said.
“I won’t argue with you, sister. I will do as you say. Now, can we go home?” she asked.
I nodded in agreement. We entered the car and we drove home.
The next day in school, three days until Roy’s birthday.
“Good morning, girls,” Roy said, approaching us by the school gate.
“Are you waiting for someone?” I asked.
“Yes, I’m waiting for you girls to show up. I have something to tell you guys.”
“Before that, I have something to say,” Oliver said. “I’m sorry for hitting you yesterday.”
“It’s fine. I’m not angry. I’m happy you forgave me,” he said.
“What I am about to tell you, three days from now, is my birthday and I want to hold a party. I’m inviting you both to my party.”
“Okay, we will be there. Oliver, what do you say?” I asked for her opinion.
“It’s okay. We will be there,” she told Roy, who in turn, smiled at her.

We dressed up beautifully. Oliver wore a short red dress with black high heels, while I put on a purple dress that matched my eye color. It was rare and it made me stand out. Soon, we were at the place where the party was being held since Roy’s house wasn’t far from ours.
We stepped out of our car. The music could be heard from outside. It was so loud.
Oliver and I walked into the house, and a lot of guys and girls were present. I could see some of our classmates as well.
“Hi, you made it!” Roy walked up to us immediately after he saw us.
“Yes, happy birthday!” Oliver presented a gift to him, and I did the same.
“Happy birthday, Roy.”
“Thank you,” he smiled, leading us to the dance floor.
He began to dance with Oliver. Soon, they both disappeared, leaving me all alone.
I walked to the bar where a few people were drinking. I asked for some drinks. I slipped my drink when I heard some unknown voice.
“Hello, beautiful. How are you?” the voice asked, but I ignored him.
“I am Leo,” he said as he inched closer to me. “What’s your name, beautiful?”
I wanted to discharge him as soon as possible.
“I’m Ava,” I introduced myself.
“Ava… What a beautiful name for an angel like you,” he complimented, flirting with me.
“Enough. I have a boyfriend already,” I said. “Can you stop flirting with me? It’s disgusting.”
“Wow! This is the first time someone has told me I sickened them,” he said, sniffing my body. “You are so beautiful, and I know your blood must taste exquisite as well.”
